Went for a birthday. Great service, delicious food. Ordered the Tom yum w/out meat, and spicy vegetable dumplings. The rest of the party ordered drunken noodles, ginger stir fry, and fried rice (fantastic).
The stick toffee pudding was brilliant with the coconut ice cream! I will definitely be back again.
Thanks for a great dining experience.
Delicious lunch for two. We shared the duck pancake appetizer. We have had it before and order it every time we go to Thaiverse. My husband had a dish that he was very pleased with. I ordered cashew chicken. It was flavorful, abundant with fresh vegetables, and spicy to my liking. The service was excellent. We like to dine there at off hours due to Covid. We had a very private table and were seated away from other guests who were dining there. Always a pleasure. We will certainly return.
Awesome food and service plan to return soon.
Food was good, although flavor was a bit different than expected. Service was very slow, but they were somewhat busy and really understaffed (probably co vid staffing shortage related)
Christmas Eve dinner - quaint and enjoyable with good food and attentive service.
One of if not the best authentic Thai restaurants around! Great food, great service, and a good variety on the menu so there is something for everyone - beef, chicken, fish, and shellfish dishes with numerous Thai sauces and cooking styles. Definitely will be back!
We were looking for a healthy menu no matter what the cultural back ground. Wow this is definitely it!
Aromas and deliciousness just kept on coming - so fresh with beautiful visual brightened our day.
The shrimp was cooked to perfection. What a pleasure our meal was - thank you so much.
The absolutely best Thai food in the DC area. Do not miss this everything is delicious family owned and operated with traditional Thai recipes. Worth the trip. We have been several times and cannot wait yo return. Never disappoints.
We have a small group of friends who love to meet there regularly. Quality food and we love the owners and staff. Very friendly.
Cute restaurant with interesting hedge maze-like entrance. Food was superb! Customer service was good too
My father in laws birthday wasn’t recognized. The food tasted good, but, wasn’t as good as it usually is. Not sure why. Good service and ambiance.
Really great service. Our pad thai, sweet potato fries and broccoli were all delicious. The chocolate cake was amaziung!
Lovely lunch for a family of 10.
Food was amazing!!
Had a wonderful time, as usual! The food, wine and service were all excellent!
Good food. Nice ambiance
Service was weak. Food was overall good. Meal to long to be served and then the dishes came out separately...ultimately they forgot my wife's meal and had to be reminded. The waiter filed water glasses once and never asked if we wanted another type of beverage.
First time to Thaiverse and we know it won't be our last.
Nice & very clean restaurant. Service was very friendly and helpful...sensed there was a little confusion about our drink order but our food came out quickly and followed by our drinks. The Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Kra Praw Fried Rice, and Sticky Toffee Pudding were all very tasty and we would order the same meal again.
In Middleburg for a quick getaway - Thaiverse was recommended by our hotel (Salamander) and a shop owner we talked to… A short walk from the hotel and we found a hidden gem. A converted house is the unique setting with different rooms serving as the bar and dining areas, providing lots of space during COVID. (Servers all work masks - we felt very comfortable.) We were greeted by a very friendly staff member (Jason) who was also our server - he was delightful, very engaging and knowledgeable about the menu. We had the Thai Mule cocktails (delish) and they were so good we each had a second). We had the chicken and spicy vegetable dumplings as a starter. For the main we had a Penang Curry and the Ka Praw (Thai chiles and green beans) - the entrees were outstanding, very authentic, light and delicious. They got the spice level just right - we ordered Thai spicy and both were perfect, just hot enough without overpowering the flavor. For dessert, the banana fritters and they were also delicious. The owner stopped by our table as we were wrapping up, very personable and interesting. The food, the service, the quaint location were all outstanding and such a wonderful surprise. We will come back!!!
James does a great job. Place was very busy at 8:00 PM on a cold, windy night in Middleburg. Usually the Burg is deserted after 5:30 so that says something about the popularity of the restaurant, In spite of that, our service was great as was the food, Nice to have a place where the decibels are not so high one cannot hear one's dining partners.
We ordered and enjoyed four different, uniformly excellent Thai dinners. Restaurant was pleasant, with an interesting hedge maze entry. Tables were acceptably distanced, although conversations could be easily heard from adjacent tables. Menu was extensive and offered a wide variety of choice - both in dish characteristics, spiciness, and protein choice. Decent selection of wines and craft cocktails.
Food was good as always. Service was bad… as always.
I waited for 10-15 minutes before someone seated us to our table. We arrived at noon (well after they opened for the day), and there were already two tables seated before we came. Yet no one came to greet us even though the door chimed loudly our arrival - we had to call out and wave to the cooks at the back for someone to finally come out. I found the service lacking from the start.
I had the pad char which advertised itself to be an eggplant dish but had less than one tiny eggplant (4/6 of a baby eggplant the size of large gumball). When we complained, the server did not seem to understand our issue. He told us he would let the chef know, that it was a new dish, he did not know if it should have more eggplant, even when we pointed out to him the description of the dish on the menu - “Southern Thai style stir-fried chili paste with onions, Thai eggplant, Chinese ginger (Finger root) hot pepper, kaffir lime leaves and Thai basil.” We got basically ground chicken, a lot of onions and some green beans and red bell peppers (both were not even in the description of the dish and yet there were more green beans and red bell peppers than eggplant). If we ordered the dish without meat, we probably get pretty much only onions (!).
Disappointing meal (in that I did not get what I ordered) and bad service (indifferent and slow).
Excellent experience as always. Wonderful service coupled with some of the best Thai cuisine around.
We were visiting Middleburg and wanted to try Thaiverse for our anniversary. We love Thai food and they exceeded our expectations! My husband had the Chili Basil dish and he’s rather picky, he looooved it! I had the Panang Chicken Curry and it was perfectly seasoned. The portions were just right and the service was great! We can’t wait to visit again.
This was an absolutely putrid experience. Came to the area for a long weekend with friends and pick this restaurant after seeing several reviews it rated highly. Walked in and waited several minutes to even be greeted by the staff. Got back to our seats in a small room with her only three tables. Everyone in our section was completely forgotten about. All three tables actually got up and left without receiving her food after waiting an hour. Yes, an hour. Our drinks were never brought to the table in that span of time. As we were walking her, the staff acted as if they could care less.
It was really good but ordering and attention to table was lacking re food and drink. While slow they then wanted customers out. No offer of dessert etc.
Food is always very good.
Here on a family vacation with a family of 5. The food was delicious and the portion size good. Everyone cleaned their plate. Our server was friendly and the outdoor seating was nice. Would absolutely return.
Best Thai food I’ve eaten in the US. Chef’s kiss!
Always great food and service!
The food was good and service was good! The prices were a little high, but you got a ton of food!
The food and the service were excellent. I really enjoyed the ambiance in the outdoor seating area. It was a perfect date night.
Usually this is a great place and our go to spot. But service tonight was abysmal, food came before drinks, no offer for dessert or night cap. When our meal was complete we were quickly rushed out to include lowering the lights to an unreasonable level when we were the only ones in the dining room.
First time customers and we were very pleased! Food is outstanding!!The flavors leave a great taste in the mouth.
We met up with another couple and we asked our server to give us time to catch up and she did. We never felt rushed.
Will go back
First time, definitely won’t be the last. Outstanding dining experience!!
Great place for lunch or dinner. We made a day trip from the Washington DC area and enjoyed our meal at Thaiverse Middleburg. We ordered Pad Thai, steamed broccoli, papaya salad and a curry. Everything was great.
Started off very good. The two apps and drinks we ordered were really good. Unfortunately soon after the first round the smoke detectors went off (not once three times). Staff was not able to mute so it was a tough rest of the evening. Our entrees were ok. Hopefully the next time we go we'll be smoke alarm free and we'll pick something else for our entrees.
Good was average Duck was dry and drunken noodle was ok
Space in the restaurant is boring/tables and chairs too.
Your coffee machine is out of order????
Food delicious. Wait staff attentive without being officious. Yes, I drank 3 glasses of water and appreciated the prompt refills. It is summer in VA
