Wednesday 2for $22 is a great deal. Food is good. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Thai Topaz is a great place for a very nice meal at a reasonable cost. Everything is prepared fresh and with just the right spice level. LOVE THIS PLACE.. Check it out....
The mussels in red curry appetizer is a true bargain. One of these days I will make the leap and order the red curry entree.
My sister and I both enjoyed our experience at Thai Topaz. I plan on taking my husband out there for a lunch date.
Fast and friendly service. Server even packed our to go meal. Food was fulfilling and delicious.
We had a wonderful meal. The lamb chops were absolutely delicious as was the pork and sticky rice appetizer. Th green tea martini was unique and tasted great. the presentation was the nicest that I have ever had at a Thai restaurant.
Went in for Culinaria week for the first time and everything was delicious. The only thing is they close at 3pm and my resv was for 2pm (some of my party ran late). Luckily we weren't rushed.
my favorite thai in san antonio! hubs hadn't been there yet, so i took him for his birthday. the tom aha soup is the absolute best i've ever had
This is our go to for Thai food in the neighborhood.
Wednesday's they have - 2 for $20 special. A shared appetizer plus 2 entrees from a limited menu for only $20. Such a deal!!!
But ... we did not order the special.
The mussel appetizer is a winner. You will savor every drop of the curry sauce. I know we did.
The Pad Thai was an old reliable. I tried the chicken with asparagus- ok, but I will take a different direction on our next visit.
I love this restaurant and the food is consistently excellent. Our New Years Eveexperience was not good, however. The restaurant was seemingly understaffed and much of their energy was spent in the bar trying to make pitchers of some cocktail special. The hostess was frazzled and expressed it to us. She passed our table sighing and groaning! The restaurant wasn’t even that busy! Our beverages came after our food and the appetizers arrived with the entrees making thermally table an overcrowded mess. I’ll go back once to give them another chance because I’ve enjoyed it in the past, but encourage them to avoid complicated drink specials in the future.
Been there a handful of times during lunch an twice for dinner. Very friendly and well trained on menu items. Clean fresh air, you won't come out smelling like you work in the kitchen.
Very tasty and well presented food.
Try the "Fried Ice Cream"! Homemade and tasty.
We feel fortunate to have this magnificent Thai restaurant in our neighborhood. Always a great meal. Always great service.
Was a great meal. Great service
Lauren-San was the best server had a lot of thoughtfulness, I think. Hiro
We are regulars at this local restaurant. Authenic Thai food with spice levels from zero to six(only for experienced spice lovers). Very good happy hour.
We've been eating at Thai Topaz since it opened. It is consistently good and a great value. Excellent service. Their happy hour lasts till 6:30 and has several excellent appetizers and drinks at exceptional prices.
Always good food and very nice, accommodating staff.
The food was pretty good. I wish I had known that the lunch menu wasn’t available on Saturday. The hostess was a nice lady. However, my disappointment was in the service from the waiter. He never checked if I needed more water to drink or if the food was okay. My only refill was one I asked for when he brought the food. My water was empty for most of the visit, and the waiter was nowhere in sight.
Happy hour appetizers are a bargain. We had mussels & pot stickers.
The night we went, several cocktails were $5 all night. Cucumber martini a bit sweet for me, but my spouse had 2. My 2nd was a Moscow mule. That will be my 1st next time.
This time went with the stir fry - cashew chicken at heat level 4. Excellent.
Tge best as always
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Reliable neighborhood option.
Try a cucumber martini - delicious.
We read the good reviews and decided to try. Made reservations on Open Table. Not very welcoming on arrival. Hostess said she was too busy to check for reservations but it was okay because she had a table open. Wait staff was not well trained. My daughter and I ordered red curry but they brought me green curry. The table finished eating before I got me food and then we got two very different red curry dishes. Food overall tasted fine. My red curry was not charged and I appreciated that. We still did not enjoy enough to go back.
So let me start by saying that the food was good, but the service by the hostess not so much. I did see a for hire sign so maybe they were short staffed. They tried to be accommodating but next time I would do takeout
This is one of my go-to restaurants. Always very pleasant wait staff, especially on this visit. Would recommend, and will return.
Way off their game service wise. Started strong & then fell off a cliff.
Excellent, I highly recommend. Great price for the food quality.
Best Thai food in town. Can customize dishes and spice levels.
They had a prix fixe menu for Valentines Day. The selection was a little limited, but the food was excellent.
We were seated immediately upon arrival and ignored for ten minutes. No water, no menus. Menus were brought to us 12 minutes after we sat down by the host. We finally walked out after waiting twenty minutes. Terrible service.
Service started a bit slow but our waitress was very good. The food had great presentation and was very very good. Could maybe use a better wine selection. We will be back.
First time here. We live in the neighborhood. Waitstaff was very friendly. Prices are great.
the waitress mixed up our order which kind of killed our first experience, but the appetizers (springrolls and dumplings) were great and the prices were very reasonable.
Will re-visit and hope they get our order right this time:)
I eat here as often as possible. Best spring rolls ever!
This was the most authentic Thai I've had since my last trip to Thailand! The curries were amazing; the cashew chicken was perfect for our "finicky friend"; the spicy edamame was SO good. Fun cocktail menu, all the standard Thai beers, and some surprisingly good wine. The atmosphere was unexpectedly nice, as well. This is not a hole-in-the-wall Thai place (which is what you usually need to go to for real authentic Thai) - it was suitable for a date or nice quiet dinner. We were a group of 5, and we had our own private room - so perfect. Even though this place requires me to drive to the other side of town (through traffic - ugh!), we will be back every time we have a craving for legit Thai food!
The restaurant has a pleasant dining space in a strip mall in Castle Hills. Food overall was very good and the appetizer sampler platter was outstanding. The service was a bit uneven—the server hadn’t been informed that they were out of one of items we ordered. Still it was a pleasant dining experience overall.
Overall a very pleasant experience. We will be returning.
Best Thai restaurant in the neighborhood. And a bargain.
Great service food all
Always a tasty favorite! I ALWAYS get the spring rolls.
