Wonderful evening with family! Loved everything we had can’t wait to return!
This is a great spot! Best Thai food in Tampa. Good value with great portions. Modern/upscale look.
Excellent service and food was delicious
We went on New Years Eve amazing service!!! Amazing food!!! Sexy Man roll was the best roll I’ve ever had and I have eaten at a lot of Sushi restaurants! Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai delicious!!!
If you are in Tampa area just go. So good won’t disappoint
When we arrived they were not ready for our reservation. The hostess said it would just be a few minutes and the table would be ready. She asked if we want to sit a booth while we wait. We said sure. 30 minutes later and they still did not have our table ready and we asked 3 different waiters if we could get a drink while we waited. Each told us they would be right back to take our drink order but then never came back.
Good food terrible service
The “lobster overload” was a stunning dish that included a whole lobster tail, 2 jumbo gulf shrimp, 2 scallops, and a generous amount of sautéed calamari. The basil broth it was served in was also fantastic. I ordered it “hot,” but should have gone Thai hot... wasn’t overbearing, but I was given various hot sauces as well as a dried chili flakes. We went back 2 days later and enjoyed everything we order just as much. Fabulous experience all around. Thank you.
Valet parking was non existent. No live music like on all other Saturday nights we had been there. Did not care for the menu change. Two of the items we go there for were no longer on the menu. What is with the black paper towels in place of real napkins?
Food was delicious, restaraunt ambiance is a bit puzzling.. the layout is not conducive to any privacy.
This is the best Thai food in Tampa. I have told many friends and all of them are now regulars there. Mike
Amazing food and cocktails. The white sangria is out of this world!
Good selection of dishes and options from small plates to larger portions. Wished our waiter was a little better aware of the menu and drink offerings. We asked him several questions for which he was confused about ingredients and preparation style.
The calamari starter was very tender and well spiced. It came with spicy thin fries which were delicious also. Dumplings were very good also My entree, swordfish, was a bit overcooked. Generally, the appetizers were better than the entrees. Nice cocktail menu.
Seafood platter with. Fries
Thai cuisine to my knowledge does not have fries not worth it - adaneme as appetizer kind of bland
Food, service and ambiance are excellent. They have a performer who sings Sinatra songs who is great. I just wish they would turn the amplifier down because the music is so loud it’s difficult to hear the person next to you and carry on normal conversation. Other than the volume, it’s great!
Great for our intimate occasion.
The sushi was warm and had to be sent back.
Service was not good. Will not go back.
Hard to believe this place has been open as long as it has and we've not tried it but, last night was the night.
You'll find an impressive menu offering Thai dishes and Japanese sashimi and sushi dishes. Having a Thai brother in law I've become a connoisseur of high-quality Thai cuisine and I couldn't wait to try some dishes.
We had reservations for 7:15 p.m. Saturday night made through open table and 5 of us were seated immediately as our table was waiting for us. The restaurant was full and we were excited to try some appetizers.
We ordered our drinks which took a little longer than average to get to us but still within reason. We started with Thai fresh rolls and the dumplings. Ordered two each for the table and they were delish. I also ordered the Yum Beef Thai salad (larger than you get in other restaurants) to share with dinner but also would be a great appetizer. We also ordered traditional Thai soups both Tom Kha and Tom Yum. They were extremely tasty and also were larger than some restaurants serve.
As far as the meals everyone stuck with Thai cuisine we enjoyed Garlic Pepper stir fry, Siam Pad Thai, Green Curry Chicken and Drunken Fried Rice.
Service was great and if you go early enough there is a two for one happy hour. I think it lasted until 7:30 p.m. The bar features hard liquors, beer, and wine.
Top the whole evening off with a great vocalist and guitar player Ron Carmichael who played popular dining music and was such a talent. Thai Prime has become one of our go-to return to restaurants for sure.
Great food and ambiance!
Good quality food at reasonable prices. Service was ok
We eat a lot of Thai when we go out and this place was really great! Good sized portions and a great server. I highly recommend it and will be back!!
The food was fantastic.. excellent service .. went to celebrate birthday.. will go back soon
Great food and service!! Only complaint is their Monday happy hour prices are more expensive than their Friday ones and didn’t mention to us.
Our favorite local spot for fresh Sushi and the best thai in town!
I ordered fish and chips....bad choice. Just average. My fault not the place for it. My wife ordered something with cashews and rice and said it was very good..The best she has had.
Great food. Great atmosphere.
Great night with family
Food was amazing!!
Reservations weren’t honored. Waitress forgot about us when we were sat for about 20 minutes. Our appetizer came out after our main course.
Foid and drink were exceptional, cant wait to return. Fish was oh so fresh
The food and service were very good. It was a bit loud in the restaurant. Parking was not great and we parked in the lot across the street.
The food was phenomenon. But the it was really hot inside the restaurant. Customer service was at it finest. I love their Happy Hour. Just please check the AC system.
It was a date to celebrate my birthday and I’m so glad we went there! The egg rolls, coconut soup with chicken, and chicken pad or meow were superb! We were early but they seated us and were eager to serve us. Our waitress was sweet and answered our questions. I am from out of town and whenever I come back, we’ll make sure to go here!
Always great food and great service!!!
We got there at 5:45 - not a very busy time except for the parking lot which is absolutely atrocious. There’s barely any parking for like five restaurants. I had to valet.
The tables inside Thai Prime are configured in a way that they are booths and they face each other. So, I sat facing the random dude in the booth across from us. Makes for an awkward experience as you have to constantly avoid eye contact with a stranger and look side-to-side to talk to the people you’re with.
Tables are a bit sticky and there’s a film on all the menus. The place could use a good scrubbing.
It was my birthday, so I ordered a martini. Everyone at my table got their drinks and 15 minutes went by before I got mine. Not ideal when everyone is trying not to drink so they can toast to your birthday. Again, it was pretty early and not super busy, so there’s no reason to wait for a drink that long.
The service is slow. Like, slow-slow. So plan on waiting a while to get anything. The food came out after about 25 minutes of ordering and it was decent. It wasn’t mind blowing Thai. Prices were a bit high for the food. I’ve had take-out that is comparable.
The coconut ice cream was pretty good. It came with honey on it and black sesame seeds.
Overall, it was a decidedly average experience. Definitely not “valet parking”-worthy. We we won’t be going back.
This is a great Tai restaurant in agreat location. Their sushi is OK but the prime reason to come here is for good Tai food. The service is friendly and helpful. The presentation is very pleasing to the eye. It is a small place but every table seems to be the best table in the place. I a place crowded with steakhouses this is an oasis of difference and great Tai food. Give it a try!
The booths aren’t comfortable
Everything was very fresh and tasted delicious. The noodle dish (Pad Ba Mee) hit the spot and the duck entree was crispy perfection.
Love this place and I always come here when I come to Florida. Superb food and service and if you can get in when Ron Carmichael is singing - do it. Fantastic
