  • Authentic Thai cuisine in Rochester!

Chef Annie’s love for cooking started when she moved to the United States in 2012. She thinks about food all day; what it looks like, what it tastes like, and most of all, how it makes people feel connected and content. For Annie, cooking is a passion, a legacy, and a bridge. Cooking is a way for her to feel joy honoring her mother and her first home by serving the people in her new community. That is why Annie and her husband Ryan, a Rochester native, created ThaiPop. It is a labor of love to bring two homes and two worlds together in one place, to honor all who came before by serving all who gather today and tomorrow.

The noodles and sprouts were unbelievable. Not sure if I’ll be able to order anything other than that again. Love this place.

A private note was sent. Very disappointed. Thai Pop dropped the ball on this one and may have lost loyal customers

I have worked in restaurants before, and I dislike auto gratuity for 6 tops. And I understand why it exists. I have dined here before as a smaller group and service was great. With the automatic 20% are service seemed slow. In fact 3 of the 6 sat for 10 minutes before I arrived and hadn’t been asked for a drink order, then I arrived and still waited at least 10 more minutes and I was the one who made eye contact with a server to get a drink order in.

Not a traditional Thai restaurant but several interesting menu options. Service sizes were generous (e.g soup dish + protein could have easily served 4 as an appetizer or 1 as a meal. )

The best ambiance of any Thai restaurant I've been to elevates some of the most inventive, delicious food in Rochester. For visitors to the city (and longtime residents alike), ThaiPop is not a dining experience to miss. From minty Thai-basil-infused cocktails to warming curries — even Tom-Yum-spiced wings — and Rochester's 2025 "Best Dessert," my family loved every dish. Hands down, best meal we had all week while in town for Mayo meetings!

I visit Rochester three or four times a year. After I secure my hotel reservation I plan my first dinner at Thai Pop. It is always great; food, service and atmosphere. It is such a treat! I wish they had another location in my area (Asheville,NC).

We first went to Thai Pop last November during our first visit to the Mayo Clinic. We felt it was a great experience both for quality and quantity of food. Our next trip in February saw a bit of less value for the food. Our meal last night saw a very large reduction in the quantity of food given price point of items. Service was also mediocre. We will no longer make this one if our restaurant choices when we are here in Rochester in the future. Did this restaurant change owners during the part 6 months?
