We took our budding foodie 9 and 11 year olds and they were in heaven. The food and service were phenomenal and the chef was so gracious when the kids clamored for a chance to get a photo with him. Will definitely be returning.

Beautiful ambiance outdoors on the patio for lunch. Perfect service for a glorious summer day. The food matched the atmosphere. Mimosas, inventive melon salad with burrata, squash risotto for me, sea bass for my husband. Don't miss the warm rye bread with smoked trout spread! A trifle more expensive than we usually choose, but the cost is apparent in the first-rate presentation, service, and ambiance.

Stopped through en route to DC and glad we did. Everything was good, with some dishes great and memorable. Hanger steak tartar was amazing, and the rye bread with trout spread was a favorite for all of us. Shout out to our server who did a great job and suggested we get it. Our kids (9 & 12) had a great experience with us as well. My son called their burger “magical.” Special dinner - I walked in with high expectations and the team at Thacher & Rye did not at all disappoint.

Unexpectedly but welcomed, we were seated at one of a few kitchen table. Service was wonderful to include chef Brian bringing one of the early courses. The food was good and fair priced for the quality and level of preparation. I personally found some items surprising salt-forward. The homemade ice cream sandwich was a great meal closer. One table was a bit loud (they realized it themselves and brought it down a few decibels) and the sever comped some drinks to make up for the noise. There are items on the menu which were new to us and worth a taste. Take a chance and expand you culinary horizons.
A word of advice, this is not Volt any longer. To include Volt gift certificates. They allowed me $50 on a $150 voucher which was nice because the old restaurant is defunct.
All in all a nice special occasion locale. Two birthdays, an anniversary and a clean MRI scan we’re celebrated in style.

The restaurant is very calming but sophisticated. Service by all impeccable. The pasta dishes were a little disappointing except for the Lasagna. The sausage gravy was a big dissapointment. Not enough flavor and little sausage. I would advise still with the appetizers and order of bread with salted butter. The wine selection is very nice.

I can’t believe this restaurant doesn’t have a Michelin star. Every single dish we ordered for brunch was incredible. The rye bread with butter and trout spread was DIVINE. The service was impeccable. The restaurant and restrooms were clean and inviting. Highly recommend and I can’t wait to go back.

This was our first visit, we were seated at a high-top in the bar area and it was perfect for a fun date night (it was too hot but would definitely choose outdoor if weather permits). Ordered tuna tartare, melon burrata salad, goat cheese ravioli, lasagna with pepperoni bolognese, pork loin with mussels and mushroom risotto. Courses were paced out nicely and everything was really delicious, but hubby and I agreed that the burrata melon salad and goat cheese ravioli were super special! Our server was patient with our questions and drinks from the bar came out timely and tasty. We will definitely be back again soon.

Wow. We had the Weds night pairing menu. Each course was amazing. The burrata salad popped with fresh melon and tomato, the lobster was generous and complimented perfectly with the grits and sauce and the lamb was a stunner, perfectly cooked and seared with beautifully tender white beans and the eggplant sauce was unexpected but delicious. The beer pairings were perfect even for someone who usually does not drink beer. Thank you to the team for a wonderful meal and delightful dinner out.

Overall my party of 4 were very impressed by the extraordinary service and incredible quality. The only slightly unfavorable mention is the portion size of the beautiful wild mushroom risotto. Two of us each ordered this $31 entree and loved it but were left starving. Our gracious fellow diner shared his order of buttermilk chicken and we still had order French fries.

I reached out to management. The reservation was emailed and confirmed but when we arrived not honored despite the email. We were rushed through excellent food. Grateful for great food but irritated by dishes being removed while eating. Sad face

Stellar! Major props to the service which was attentive and timely. Food variety was impressive although the recommended three courses for lunch was a bit heavy - warning, the first two courses are more than a tapas equivalent. Great selection of local beers - I had a couple of Hank lagers, brewed right up the street from the restaurant.

Domingo is a fabulous server and I love the outdoor patio. Food presentation is spectacular and very good. I really enjoyed ending with the chocolate orange pudding with salted caramel ice cream.

What a beautiful and enjoyable lunch. The chef provided us with a combination of complex flavors and elegance. We will be back soon, even though it’s an hour drive for us. Totally worth it!

We had a wonderful meal. Table was ready on time. Service was attentive but not rushed. Staff were engaging, friendly, and knew the food. The food was outstanding. The tuna appetizer was wonderfully flavorful. The lasagne was incredible - light fresh paste with a meat sauce that was also surprisingly light. All of the mains were truly excellent, but the chicken was off the chart - juicy and unbelievable tender and flavored. Will definite return to try other dishes in the menu.
