TGI FRIDAYS - Wheeling
Love going there because I crave their Sesame Jack Chicken Strips. Food always yummy. Love the atmosphere and the service is always good. It's a place that I can get in and out quickly.
Dustin was absolutely AMAZING - genuine, with wonderful attitude. Thank you Dustin.
Fridays is that place you can always count on for good food at a reasonable price . . .
you can always count on Friday's for great food at a reasonable price
Hamburger over cooked
We are frequent customers at Friday's: very good food at reasonable prices. Well worth joining the
Friday's Rewards program for free salsa & chips every visit, and surprise bonus emails, as well as racking up points for free food. Noise level is usually loud in the evenings, and service can be intermittent when staff is busy, but notice an abundance of families, teenagers, & oldsters like us, all finding their favorites on the menu.
Our service was slow.
Service is very bad. Made a reservation but nobody is at the door. Since I was in a rush, self guided to the bar. No greetings. Bartender was so slow and inefficient. Waited long time to get a menu. She said " my hand is full.". Dead atomosphere. Understaff, not attentive. Manager was there but seems the are not functioning.
Normal experience at TGIF. Server was outstanding. My shrimp & pasta was excellent. Wife ordered steak and it was medium not rare.
Thanks to TGI Fridays being a part of OpenTable, my husband and I decided to go to there and we were very happy that we did. The atmosphere was just perfect for a night out together and it brought us back to the days we were dating. It was fun, the staff was friendly, the menu offered great options, and our ribs dinners were delicious! We both wondered what took us so long to go to Fridays. We can't wait to go back!
Went to wheeling location because Vernon Hills closed. Never again. Walked in was seated in the bar. Waited 20 minutes for absolutely nothing. No service. No drinks. Nothing. There were 2 servers running around and I could not even get their attention. Got up and left at a little less then 30 minutes. Waste of time. Was at the Vernon Hills location 4-6 times per month. Never again
The food, service and frequent specials are always good. There is plenty of parking and a convenient location.
Always a good meal. Service good and always accomodating.
went there for dinner on christmas night. walked in with a reservation and saw tables open. hostess told us 20 minute wait. I asked her why if there were open tables. her response, we didn't know we would be this busy. is she kidding? she just had to look around the area to realize very few restaurants were open. planning for staffing should have been much better. we ate in the bar. my soup was fine and my husband liked his burger. but I hope they plan better next year.
Great food great service what else can you say great price
The food s a convenient local restaurant with lots of parking.
Food was good when it finally came. Took nearly an hour to get our meal. Other patrons complaining loudly about the same made it a very bad experience.
Always enjoy the food. The only thing I wasn't happy with was I ordered onion rings instead of french fries, and they charged me $2.50 when we were told $1.50 upcharge. We didn't mind paying the extra, but there were only four onion rings. For $2.50, that was an unreasonable amount of onion rings. And I'll never understand why they need to charge extra, especially since I'm not getting the french fries that I was paying for anyways.
Many things went wrong. First off, we order an appetizer that took very long to get and when we asked for more chips, they brought them out literally 10min after the food had already arrived and the dip at this point was cold. My mother ordered unseasoned fries and they came out with seasoning so they were sent back and never reappeared and she was done eating by the time anyone came to check on us, which was a good 10min gap. The manager never appeared to explain why the service was so awful. Took forever to get the bill and I will think twice before coming back.
No hostess at the entrance. So we walked in to the bar. 30mins to wait for food. This restaurant need to consider staffing. Not good service. Food was bad. Service deterorate. Very disappointed.
The service here is always slow.
Service was very slow for lunch time. Always no host or hostess at the door.
Bartender, and manager are both friendly and good!
Bartender is attentive and made us feel comfortable!
Frequently, there is NO host at the door and under staff at the bar. Although our server was good.
Great serving staff. Fair choice on menu. 2 for $14.99 option is very confusing.
Our bartender was very attentive and paying good care. Because of his good service, we will come back!!
Very inexperienced waitress that did not know the menu items that are advertised. Good not done right. Also asked for a wheelchair accessible table for three and was sqeexef into a table for two with the wheelchair at the end in the aisle. Manager kept saying sorry, something that should never be said to patrons. She reluctantly took portions of each item off, which was ridiculous, but was something. This is what happens when kids run a restaurant. I won't go on, just suffice it to say, I did not thank God it's friday
We both had salads that were very good.. value was very fair
They raised the price of all you can eat apps and limited the options to four choices.
The French onion soup used to be great now they changed the way they make it and it's horrible. Soup was also cold and table was much smaller than what we should have been sat for five people. Most likely will not return
Love the sesame jack chicken strips. Service is always good, and great atmosphere.
Consistent menu always evolving, great specials and very good service!
I crave their sesame jack chicken strips appetizer. Food always delicious. Staff is friendly and always accomodating. Love the free salsa and chips for being a rewards member, and all the offers I receive.
TGI Friday's was always our favorite Friday night place for dinner until they closed the one near us in Glenview. We were happy to find this one Wheeling, because we love the casual atmosphere and reasonable prices. When we arrived there was a waiting list, but because we had a reservation we were seated immediately. We also like this place because they have a Braille menu for my sister plus they were accommodating with her guide dog. Our waitress was wonderful! The food is good, although the menu is relatively small for sandwiches. Overall, it's a pleasant place for a casual meal not too far from home.
I must say I wasn't happy with the service, the kitchen timing or the food. It was very disappointing.
Great food and great prices. The server provided great service and attention
Food, location, parking are all excellent. We had an exceptional server, Jake. He knew what we'd like before we did! He was attentive and quick.
Addendum my previous review, we were checked in
