TGI FRIDAYS - Springfield (IL)
First of all the restaurant claims to not use opentable, for they don't do reservations. So we would of had to wait the 15-20mins for a table, but we didn't stay, because the restaurant was out of chicken, steak, and shrimp. I had to rate everything poor, even though we didn't stay, to get to the comment section.
I’m angry for the second time on a week. I checked with the young lady 3 times while I was there to make sure she did the open table. Was assured each time. Well guess what, I haven’t gotten my credit. And the good was really crummy. What is wrong with these restaurants that they can’t get open table correct?
It was very nice
The shrimp and fries were delicious. The fish and chips were average. The fish seemed over breaded. Service was good. We were waited on promptly and checked on regularly.
Our friends from Australia liked the bar selections and the food appeal. We had a very good dining experience.
Servers were overwhelmed. Forgot to bring drinks and food items ordered with the meal. Steak was fatty and shrimp was under cooked. It was $85 for two people which is expensive for a subpar experience.
The music was quite loud, we asked if we could be moved and we're told that we could but it would be the same side of the restaurant so it would still be loud. We were told that they could not turn it down ?? but that they would help us out on the bill. They did but the discount was removed from someone else in the group not mine. We told our waiter but nothing was changed. I do not blame him, it was his first big table. Overall we enjoyed our visit, but it was difficult to have dinner conversation for my daughter's birthday. And the couple who received the discount was pleased....too bad it was not their reservation or restaurant choice or birthday.
Food was great!!! Our waitress was friendly and super sweet!
The hostess was awful, so rude when I said I had an open table reservation. Would never go back to that location just because of her.
