Service slow. Food small portion. Left credit card, didn’t call. Never again, TGIF.
They had a young Latin waitress serve us she was flirting with my husband in front of my son and then when I said something she so called accidentally spill the drink she brought to the table on me
We were overcharged for our dinners going by tv ad ribs should have been 12.99 we were charged the regular amount. Notice it but I thought because we got a full rack but the ad on tv says full rack so not sure why we were overcharged. Highly disappointed maybe waitress was not aware of discount. Will be back but will study our bill and ask questions next time
Server was ok but took a really long time to get anything.. drinks, refills and especially a check and to go box. Food came out wrong and when they rushed it to us it was very apparent they rushed (shrimp and chicken sizzling plate, the cheese slice you guys use was still a square and solid)
We always have a great time at Friday's and we absolutely love the menu. The whiskey ribs are the tops!!!
If you think you only need a 1/2 rack.......you will need and eat a whole rack! Delicious!
Ate at the same location a week and 1/2 ago, Service was top notch - Meat was VERY tender. Received our drinks very quickly.
This time - Waited 10 to 15 Minutes for drinks and then no lime. Had to ask again. . Meat was tough.
We thought we had found a great place the 1st time there only to find it not so good this time.
I would’ve gave it a 5 star. But, the waiter never asked us if we wanted desert! And to make it worst we were celebrating my 24th birthday!!!
The restaurant was fine the problem I see is that they are short of staff and the service is extremely slow. I server did her best to take care of us.
It was pointless to reserve a table via opentable. We got there, the girl told us it would be 10 min wait after our reserved time. Then 35 mins after the 10 mins already there, the same girl told us we never gave her our name?!!! She was rude about it too,talking to other staff members about us "never giving her out name." Then 5 mins after that we hear her saying, oops here is their name! No apology or anything! Did not appreciate it al all!!
It was very busy but I still expect the food to be right. I got chicken and shrimp entree—the chicken was dry. My son was supposed to have chicken quesadillas but it only had cheese on it. My boyfriend ordered the chicken and ribs bucket and it came out with hardly any sauce on it. The waitress was very nice and the manager even came over to apologize and fixed our order. We have eaten here several times and never had issues before which is why I still gave it moderate scores. But the food could’ve been better tonight.

Menu has changed, prices have increased but the food given is less, and my food tasted like it was frozen then nuked. The place also had a funky stench to it that made me lose my appetite. Sad because this used to be a fun place to go and they have had good food and drinks, but the whole vibe felt like they are struggling to keep the doors open.
Like the episode from Seinfeld, Friday’s acknowledges our reservation but would not honor it! They made us wait for 10 mins when half the restaurant was empty!

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service, rude staff, poor quality food... makes me sad because I used to love this location!
Waitress, Vanessa was kind and friendly. After being seated, though it took about 7 mins. for her to come over to our table. Along with the order substituted a side salad not fries. The hamburger arrived with fries, no side salad, and the doneness of the burger was not correct. It came back to order, however, again, arrived with fries not side salad. The waitress had no clue that the order had been delivered nor that it was incorrect. The turkey burger was very dry and too charred. I would not get it again.
The server stated somethings that turned out not to be true. We even questioned her but she didn't go check with the manager. Finally we talked to the manager and he corrected our bill.
We reserved through OpenTable and announced ourselves 2 minutes before our reservation. The restaurant entered our reservation as cancelled. Thankfully Open Table advised us of this via email. I called the Restaurant gave full details with my name and phone - no call back. Maybe they do this on the hopes that they wont have to pay OpenTable for the reservation...
I did go to Open Table Customer Service to notify them we did keep our reservation (on time too) and they credited our account.
Note: It was VERY HARD to find in my Open Table account a link to report this problem. Not user friendly and it wasted my valuable time trying to communicate. Solution, put a link on the Reservation cancelled email from Open Table that would automatically send a message from your user/customer that the reservation was kept and the restaurant messed up.
Only real issue was not recognizing open table reservation when I told them. Hostess recognized it but did not do what was suppose to. Food price a little high and took the flat iron steak off the menu, family favorite. Server was great.
My husband and I went to eat here for dinner. The food was not good at all. The ribs were dry, hardly any meat on them. The Cajun chicken shrimp pasta was not good either, hardly any shrimp/chicken, and it was bland. The fries were good, and the mango lemonade was awesome. The best part was the service, Gloria was awesome especially given the food was so bad and she knew it.
Convenient location and our table was ready soon after we arrived. Server was very nice, but the service lacked. Food took long time to get to table. When it arrived, everyone got a plate except for one of the children’s meals which was not a special order and should not have taken longer than a regular meal. Then more servers came trying to give us the wrong meals. After that, even more servers came with duplicates of half of our meals. They seemed a bit frazzled on a Friday night.
Love the Jack Daniels Ribs!!!!! The Jack Daniels Burgers were a hit with our table too!
Food was much better than expected and our waitress was very friendly!
Surprised we were seated immediately on arrival. Many people were waiting. Food and service were good for a chain restaurant. Will return soon
New Year’s Eve at 5:00...very very slow service. Took about 25 minutes to get a drink...server was nice but not attentive. Would have had more to drink if server was quicker...
Our waiter Elmer was very good. We like Fridays' food and this location was a good middle point for the three cars coming from different directions.
Reserving through Open Table offered quick seating. There were many open tables/boothes, yet there were many people and groups waiting to be seated. 7-10 minutes elapsed between being seated and server initially coming to table. A new server with a shadow employee. napkins for our drinks arrived promptly. However, another 7-10 minutes passed and we had to ask another server to ask our server for our drinks. When they were brought out, literally they were cans of beers, with an afterthought, "oh, did you want glasses too?" Our seat was nearest to the serving station, away from the bar itself, yet the area had an overall smell of stale bar. Neither the employee in training nor the shadow trainer returned to our table until our food was served, we had to ask for water, then no one returned until we asked for the check. Several groups of several employees standing around each other chatting about their personal details and experiences in front of guests. For the $50.00 check, we will spend our evening meal elsewhere from now on. Based on this experience and the past few in the last couple months that were similar, I would not recommend.
This TGIF's is much better than the one in Vernon Hills. I had called and talked to a person at TGIF's corporate but never got any response about the terrible time I had at the Vernon Hills restaurant.

We had to wait for a table and passed 8 empty ones on the way to being seated. Service was very slow. Food arrived cold. I would not go back to this restaurant.

Our service was horrible! I had to ask for napkins and silverware. Our server was anything BUT personable. Halfway through our meal she decided to leave. I flagged down the hostess and asked her to send our server with the bill and she was clearly irritated and told me to wait. Finally the manger came over to tell us our server decided to leave. He did not offer to do anything for us except bring our bill. I feel we should have had a comped meal or at the very least a free dessert! Nonetheless I did not leave a tip considering there was no server there to tip.

Sorry but have to say a very disappointing dining experience. Immediately was concerned when entering the restaurant and encountered blaring background music. I came there to eat and enjoy conversation. I had no interest in listening to your canned music. The level of the music made it difficult to converse. I should have seen the writing on the wall and found another place for our lunch but unfortunately I decided to give the restaurant a chance.
The waitress took the food order and paid very little attention from that point on. I think it is not to much to ask to ensure that our drinks did not run dry. They did at this mea. That was simply inattentiveness on the part of the waitress. One of the orders we placed was for Jack Daniels ribs. The order that was delivered to the table was not Jack Daniels ribs. These ribs may have been the worst we have ever experienced in any restaurant anywhere. Very disappointing. I cant say I would ever spend my dining dollars at any TGIF's ever again. I hope this restaurant will improve there food and service for future patrons.
Our server was slow to attend to our table. My companion and I had to ask for our needs as we saw the server pass by, e.g. Free chips/salsa (as a rewards member), I was not even asked, glass of water, and the check. I paid check through the Fridays rewards app. When server returned to collect check, I stated I paid through the app. He said to me something to the affect that he wanted me to pay him because he keeps track of his tips.
Food was good.
Horrible service today! We go often but this time there was hair in our food and the check was messed up and we had to wait 20 mins for it to be fixed
I'll be amazed if Friday's makes it through another 5 years of being open. If they do it won't be because of their food. We were weekly regulars here for years but as of two years ago or so we stopped going due to the decline in food quality as well as service. This visit was worse as compared to then. At first impression the menus are filthy dirty and falling apart. (I will try and post a photo).
As for the meal let's start with the easiest thing to prepare: pot stickers, they were dry and shriveled in appearance - either over nuked or sat in the window too long. There was no sear on the bottom and was discolored almost as if they spilled some of the sauce on them while it sat in the window. The wings were okay but most of the sauce was on the plate and not tossed properly.
The parmesan crusted chicken was rubbery / fleshy in texture and had an odd taste. It wasn't spoiled it just had odd flavors.
The chicken fingers were stringy, salty, and dry. I'm assuming they no longer hand batter them to order anymore. They had the texture, taste, and appearance of being prepared and frozen.
I mean this whole heartidly I serioulsy wished we went to Wendy's. The meal would have been so much better. Never again will this restaurant be an option under any circumstances. Our waiter Jordan (I think) was very attentive and polite - he was the only positive part of the meal. We still tipped him well. We almost felt sorry that his tips are dependent on that poor, low quality food.
I've always enjoyed eating at TGI Friday's. The food is usually good, the servers normally attentive, and I can normally rely on at least a good experience.
We had reservations but the lady gave our table away so we had to wait 45 minutes and then the server barely ever checked on us but we didn't mind because we were old friends catching up.
