TGI FRIDAYS - Bowie
We were seated immediately, however it took about 15 minutes before a host was assigned to our table. However our host was great friendly polite and kept a smile on his face at all times.
It was okay. The waiter took a long time to come when I first walked in. Service could have been better. But the food was good
Poor service and management skills.
Food was cold and disgusting.
Manager was rude and not understanding
Staff was missing in action we barley saw our waiter or any server at that.
Took my family out for Mother’s Day. Had a reservation for 6. Our waitress did not provide good customer service in the least bit. Caught her constantly rolling her eyes when she thought no one was looking. I felt very uncomfortable and was close to asking the manager to reassign our table with another waitress/waiter but my family told me to let it ride. Will never come here again. And no she wasn’t African American. Attitude comes in all genders & colors. Food for thought.
This place needs a good cleaning. The floor & carpeted area is sticky. I travel to come to Bowie to eat here. It used to be very nice now it’s just sticky!!!
When seated, there are already crumbs in my table. Ketchup bottle yucky. Looks liked licked fingers touched it. Just sticky..,,
I guess I’ll have to find another spot.
It was cold inside like no heat. The server was excellent.
Waited for about 35 minutes for a waiter, Manager finally took our orders after we complained. Finally served by a waitress who was very professional and she did her best to wait on a table of 8 guests.
1st there system for reservations was down so after waiting another hour we get to a dirt table and stand there to wait for someone to wipe it dow with a dirty rag!
Bathroom was not as clean as I would have liked but not the worst I’ve seen.
Order came out quickly after but a few things where missing. After asking 4 times about missing mashed potatoes, it came out at the end of my meal.
Would not visit again. They seem to be flustered and short staff and training.
The restaurant is clean, our waitress was friendly and attentive, and our food was delicious. There's a distinct separation of the bar from the dining area so it didn't feel as noisy and overcrowded as other locations. We have always enjoyed the food at TGI Fridays and will drive a little farther to get to this one.
Waitress was not interested in working. Had to keep asking others to help. It took about 12 minutes before she even came to the table. Then I had to get up to get my check. The manager was no help.
This is by far my best experience at the Bowie, MD location. The food and service was great.
Made online reservation, arrived to restaurant and hostess 2as unaware that you could do that. Waited about 10 mins to be seated (we had to seat ourselves) 10 mins later no server we stop the manager who look like he was a deer caught in headlights. Said he would get someone to help 10 mins later a server arrived. It was not crowded at all and had several employees in the back. Waited almost 30 mins for appetizer. So will not be going back. Server was okay.
We are a group of 6 we had a reservation, the table was not ready. We have to wait 20 min for the table. We ordered our food it was a disaster, first, appitersers came in, after that the main course order brought in was wrong and on top of it my one order itself took at least 35min. My daughters' meal did not make it, the excuse was they don't have anymore. Well, finally Desert time after taking orders it took 45 min just to tell us they don't have any more of the Ice cream we ordered. But the guy who was serving us said he will take 2 slushies and 1 desert off the bill or something like that.
I will not recommend anyone to this FGI Friday's restaurant.
Our server was very friendly. She took our drink order quickly and our appetizer arrived fast. We ordered our entree and my husband didn’t receive his drink from the bar until the end of our meal, not the end of the world. It was pretty busy but the server kept checking in on us.
The food was good. I had a Cobb salad and husband had the jack Daniels steak and shrimp entree.
The food and service were good. I was disappointed that the restaurant did not work well with OpenTable so I had to open a support ticket in order to get credit for my visit.
We had a good time at Friday’s did my 12 year nieces birthday. Kira our server was great and so was the manager. We had a good time and plan to return.
DONT BOTHER!!!!! Didn't honer reservation. Manager told us we had to wait 45 minutes to an hour.
The TGIF that is located on Bowie, MD is the absolute worst. I will never return to this location.
I do not like waiting more than five minutes for my reserved table. It defeats the purpose of reservations.
We made a reservation and arrived on time, but no one came to speak to us until about four or five minutes had passed. The girl who came over was nice but she was unable to seat us right away and told us the wait would be 20 minutes. One of my companions asked why there was a wait when we could see open tables. She told us that they were understaffed so some sections were unavailable and that water was coming through the ceiling over some of the tables in the available sections. She asked us if we wanted to sit at the bar, but my other companion was 8 months pregnant and would struggle with the high chairs. We left.
Service very poor. We were celebrating my sisters birthday. No one to seat us at our table. Had to ask for a manager to seat us after 15 minutes because no one was at the front desk. No server in our section so after waiting another 15 minutes, we had to chase down a manager for a server. The people in line in front of us left because they weren't getting any service. I had and unlimited appetizer, we barely saw the server for refills. I would not go back.
Dined at the TGIF in Bowie, MD for the first time in a long time. We were seated right away in a booth - the restaurant was not busy at the time. We tried the endless apps option plus a side salad, and an additional chicken entree. ALL of the food tasted amazing - with the exception of the potato skins appetizer. They looked tired and tasted bland. The meatball appetizer was the most delicious we tried on this visit. Big fan of the free re-fills on the teas and lemonades in addition to the sodas - nice going. Our server was polite, friendly and helpful. She checked on our progress at regular intervals without hovering - much appreciated. The only downside to this review was the staff's choice of some colorful language laced music selections playing in the restaurant. There were children dining! NOT appropriate, even with the bleeped out curse words that you could easily discern what they were if you paid attention. Thankfully, there weren't many of these songs played while we were there. We will try them again, however - have more appetizer options left to sample!
It was not bad at all but it could have been a little better!
This place is simply horrible from the food, service, and cleanliness. I didn't even finish my meal because the food was so bad. Do not go to this TGI Fridays!!
The restaurant did not have enough staff members to serve everyone, so it took 30 minutes (after being seated) before we were offered drinks. The food took ~45 minutes to come out and was cold when served. Portions of our meals were missing. We were told to just wait and they would deliver the rest later. Other tables seated around us expressed similar concerns about receiving incomplete and cold food.
Service was so so. Food was ordinary. Maybe it was a bad day, I will give it another try.
Made reservation ahead to avoid wait but still have to wait 20 minutes to get seated.
Thus, makes me wonder if reserving with OpenTable really makes a difference.
From the time of being seated to the time the server came over the wait was extremely long . I had to go to the hostess and let her know that the server hasn't even come to the take to greet us.
Our reservation was for 7 pm. We were seated at 7:45 pm. Said they did not get our reservation and our party had to sit at separate tables. Our server mixed up our drink and entree orders. We ordered appetizers but got no plates or utensils. We asked for same and got plates. Had to ask again for utensils. Ordered refills which came at the end of our meal. Receipts were incorrect. We told waitress we were there to celebrate our daughter's birthday. She very coldly said 'happy birthday'. She also never came back to our tables to see if we needed anything else. When asked if she a new waitess, her response was "why do you want to know"? Will never visit this Fridays again.
Overall, not bad; price, location, and food was good. I think the service was lower only because it was New Year's Day and they were short-staffed and the restaurant was not crowded at all and so with limited wait staff, it took a while to get seated even with my reservation because my friends were there before me and they wouldn't seat them until I arrived since I made the reservation. Also, it just seemed to be real slow that day, so maybe another day, another time, it will be at least 4 stars all the way across, but not for that day. They were not rude, just slow and again, I think it was all due to staffing and maybe only one cook or two, who knows.
It is what it is.
When we arrived to another TGI Fridays (I don't remember the location) the host told us that we will have to wait between 15-20 min for a table, which I don't understand coz there were around 10 tables free at the restaurant. So I've booked a table via the app but when we arrived another host lady announced that there is a long wait time until we will get our food because there is only one waitress and she has few tables to serve. I said that I would like to eat either way and basically she didn't want to show us a table, even when I was insisting. She said that if we want to we can sit next to the bar.
Overall food was good but both these situations were ridiculous.
