TGI FRIDAYS - Bloomingdale
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. You don’t go to TGIF for the best but this was awful. The service was crazy slow, orders were messed up and the food was way below the expected mediocrity. I will never be dining at a tgif ever again.
Major problem was that the Open Table reservation system was down. Resulting in us having to wait for a table. Manager did NOT offer anything other than to say that the Open Table Reservation computer was down. He should offered some sort of an incentive to wait for a table. I had a conformation from Open Table on my phone.
1 meal came cold and had to be reheated. Okay after reheated. Restaurant was too cold in our Section. Wife wore a sweater and still too cold. I was also cold. So breezy the napkins were moving in the “wind”.
Great food. Great drinks. Great service.
The menu changed. The food was below average but over priced.
Really appreciated the waitress going the extra mile to make my order a specialty.
I had made reservations to celebrate my birthday. Saturday night. 6:30. I called to inform to host that we would be 15 minutes late. There we people waiting when we arrived. We were sat right away, But at an uncomfortably small hightop in the bar. We were not asked if this table was acceptable. As it wasn't. It took a good five minutes or more before anyone greeted us. I noticed a manager looking our way, but she didn't greet us. Finally from behind the bar, we hear I'll be right with you. After ordering food and drinks, we went to the bathroom and out to smoke. Returning to our empty table. Once we returned our drinks were brother over and she announced she would be right back with the food. Our food arrived, leaving no time to enjoy our drinks first. Very aggravating. We were not asked if we'd like another drink or dessert. Instead our check was dropped off and cashed out by a different bartender. We saw our original server before leaving, but she made no effort to say thank you or goodbye. Extremely horrible service. I've dinned at this Fridays a handful of times hoping next time would be better. But after this, I will not be returning.
They were very accomodating with my dairy allergy. Server was super sweet- got everything done correctly and on time. Would def. go back.
Horrible experience. I was told that they had no reservation for me and that they always have trouble with online bookings. I waited while they continued to seat customers without reservations before me. When I complained that it had been 20 minutes, they offered me a cramped spot in the back. When I refused, they told me I would have to wait until another group leaves even though there were tables in need of cleaning. After 40 minutes, we were seated. We ordered drinks which took 15 minutes to come out of the bar. When we inquired about the wait time, they said the bar was backed up. We could see the bar clearly and there were 2 bartenders standing around chatting. When our main course arrived 45 minutes later, the food was cold and under cooked. My soup arrived after I was almost finished with my main course. This establishment is run by very inexperienced young adults. I could not tell who managed the restaurant. The only person concerned was our server because of the tip. I wrote a review to their corporate office and told them I would never return to their franchise.
My group was greeted with kindness from the beginning of our meal to the end. We were given a rose in celebration of Valentine's Day. The food was truly delicious as well.
Horrible service. Took over 20 minutes for chips and salad to arrive at our table. No apology and then we ordered and waited almost 40 minutes and still no food and kept telling us our food is coming. We left without eating.
Thanks to Cierra at TGI Fridays! You made our Birthday Celebration a Good Time and we enjoyed the well prepared meals. The food was excellent - compliments to the Chef! Thanks for the good service! We'll be back again.
They closed the TGIF in the Lombard area quite awhile ago and I have missed being able to go there - so I met friends at the one in Bloomingdale for lunch and it brought back memories....the restaurant wasn’t as busy or lively as I remember it but maybe because it was lunchtime!? They do a lot of carry outs (GrubHub)....which seems to be the new trend. The food and service was very good - too bad it’s so far.
It’s just mediocre nothing special and the manager is just blah she is not personable at all and the food goes up and down in quality

They did not honor our reservation, i fact it seemed that the hostess didn't even know about reservations.
This place is ok , you have to still wait even if you made reservations
The bartenders were absolutely swamped, and I totally understand that. I’ve worked in a restaurant for a long time. BUT... the fact that we waited for our appetizers for 33 minutes, and then our dinner came about 15 minutes later. It was just not the best service. They definitely should have more bartenders working and serving. The food was good! The servers were nice! Just terrible service.
Crap. Will never return bang for buck sucks. Spend your $$$ else where. You’ll thank me.
Rude Server. Threw the specials menu on the table and was terribly rude and would not even acknowledge or respond when we asked for a refill. This is after she didn't even come by to check on our table for a long time. I normally do not write reviews...but this was an exception.
We had reservations, we were about 10 minutes early and we were told we would have to wait for about 10-15 minutes. We told them that we would be up at the bar. I saw other people being seated but figured it might have been someone who had an earlier reservation. After 25-30 minutes I went up to the desk to see how much longer as we were ready to leave if we didn't get seated since there had been a lot of empty tables since we had arrived. She told me that she thought we left since we weren't outside waiting. I told her that I had told her we were going up to the bar for a drink and she just shrugged. She did seat us immediately but without an apology for not looking for us at the bar. When our food came we had ordered soup and a salad and they came with our dinner so by the time I had my soup, my food was cold plus I had ordered Steak and Shrimp and I didn't get my shrimp. Overall this is the second time we have dined here and had bad service and the food hasn't been great.
Every time I have eaten at a TGI Fridays, my food is excellent! It’s not fancy or different… But just good comfort food.
However, the restaurant is starting to get a little rundown and tired.
Really going downhill.

The service was exceptional! Food was very good!
After making reservations, when we arrived we were told they actually do not accept reservations even though their corporate office wants them to. So we had to wait for a table. We will never be going there again.
Our appetizer came after our meals were served. So that was annoying and no discount or or visit from manager. Just plopped it down like here ya go and sorry btw.

We arrived at the time we had reserved online and when we spoke to the hostess, she looked up our reservation, wrote us on the BOTTOM of the list behind all the walk-ins and told us it would be a 40 min wait to be seated. Then she turned away from us and ignored us. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Although we eat out each week, we won't be back here. We understand a few minutes delay but there is no excuse for treating customers who have taken the time to choose your restaurant and reserve an available time to be treated rudely and as though they just walked in. TGI Fridays needs to undertake retraining of their staff.
Have always loved Friday's! It's not close, but we went for Valentine's Day. Used Open Table reservations to get in on our time schedule. Great!!
Terrible - they refused to honor our reservation due to the holiday.
After 10 min wait we were sat in bar area. The table was a awkward setup for our server to work. He had to pass food, or stand on bar ramp to communicate with some in my party.
The ribs are on special, and are a good deal at 12.99. Everything we ordered was good, nobody had any issues. The only issue was all the food arrived, at the same time, except the all you can eat apps..my son had to wait another 5 min. He had ordered boneless wings. But the refills seem to arrive in a more timely manner.
The service, once we got the server was fine. He seem friendly and efficient.
We will go back....

The food was very disappointing, I eat at TGIF all the time, the food was inedible. They had the rib special and were very busy, our poor waitress was overwhelmed and took for ever took get her attention. It will be a while before we consider going back to this location.
They did not have our reservation. The manager told us they don't take reservations on the weekend and that it is written on open table. Nowhere did I see that. Also, if they don't take weekend reservations how did I get a confirmation? He also told me I could not use my reward points as their direct tv was hit by lightning. Interesting that the tvs were playing!! Manager was rude so we left. Unfortunately I now wonder if I will get my open table points. Not going back there again!!
Not bad, not a choice I would ever make but not as bad as I expected. Service was worse than i could have guessed. Hide-n-seek was all he wanted to do. Orders weren't correct. I had the mahi mahi, is was dry and fishy. Good for people watching,
food was good. always like their appetizers. waiter was distracted and we didn't see him for long periods of time. We watched a game on TV, so it wasn't a bi problem
The manager almost seemed like he wasn't going to honor our Open Table reservation. He instructed the hostess to put us on their wait list. He changed his mind after about 5 minutes and had the hostess seat us, but I was starting to get a little bit miffed. That's the part that's sticking in my mind with rating Service at a 3 out of 5. Otherwise, everything else was fine and if that hadn't happened, I would have given them a 5 out of 5 on Service.
Everything was great except that the restaurant rejected our reservation. They said they don't accept reservations between 6-9 on weekends, but there is nothing that states that on this app or their website.
