TGI FRIDAYS - Aurora (IL)
Father’s Day dinner, it’s his fave!
We were lucky that the restaurant wasn't busy as they said they didn't use OpenTable.
There’s no point reserving online because they don’t care about that and said they don’t have such online systems, so we waited for another 20 minutes to be seated.
Great specials. Everything was prepared well and the service was very good.
We arrived and were informed the restaurant does not take reservations...even though they are on OpenTable! When I mentioned OpenTable they said it does not work with their systems. We got lucky and they were not busy but I would not have been happy if we were put at the end of a long waitlist when we thought we had a reservation. It was a Saturday night and getting a table at an alternate restaurant at that point would have been difficult. I feel the restaurant remains on OpenTable to lure people to the restaurant thinking they have a secured spot - which is not true. I have complained directly to OpenTable and they had very quick response (excellent customer service) saying they would check with the restaurant this week.
When we arrived, Friday’s said they don’t honor Open Table reservations. Luckily there was a spot open at the bar, otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to eat. Not honoring a reservation on a Friday night doesn’t leave someone with many options. On a side note, the bartender was excellent and the food was good.
We dined but not happy that the open table app didn't work on their kiosk system... and our reservation was not honored at time we reserved... also they indicated my Open Table points would not be given since they don't do Open Table since having problems with their systems.
The manager was very pleasant about the whole issue, and apologetic, but still felt like they just trick patrons to come in with a reservation, just to make them have to wait like any other patron as first come first serve basis.
It was okay
I had a confirmed reservation and when I got there they said they don’t take reservations. A bit odd.
Good good on 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts forc$20. Thank you for the offer.
Would be good to offer again with different choices.
Service was lacking experience. Overall cleanliness of restaurant and staff needs to be addressed. Food was ok but nothing special. Not a place we will be returning to. Sorry TGIF.
We went for a date night. Our server Adam was awesome! He was so friendly, energetic and fun. He was very patient with our indecisive ordering. He was also very attentive, making sure we had drink refills regularly and checking to see if we needed anything throughout our visit. He definitely gets 5 stars for customer service. We definitely enjoyed our meals and look forward to our next visit
Everything was great from the service to the food. The only problem was that the air conditioning was extremely too cold. Not only were we all cold, but our food got cold really quickly as well because of the cold air.
We had a good time celebrating! Thank you!
I went here on Valentines evening for my dinner break. First, I appreciated them seating me right away, and there were others waiting for seats at the front of the restaurant. This was especially important since I had to return to work that evening (and, I had not mentioned that I was in a rush). Then came the food. I ordered a special that was advertised that included ribs and salmon. The salmon was room temperature, ribs tasted like old and reheated. I understand by it being Valentines, they had to prepare large quantities in advance; but, I don't think the taste should be compromised.
Very unorganized. We had to wait a really long time in spite of the reservations; the host seemed confused with even the concept of reservations! Was very crowded and chaotic overall. Food was average.
Food was good. Waitress was nice. Greeter was very rude so i will not come back to this location
Food is always very good at TGIFridays! Can't beat the full slab of ribs special for $12!!!
Good took an hour to get when place was empty. Was given chips and salsa comped but it took 15 min. Took -5 min to get bill. Took 15 min to get change from cash. Was a joke
Server was friendly but apologized several times for delays, took several minutes from the time we sat down to the time server came to the table. Ordered potatoes skins, they arrived looking flat and breaking apart. Ordered bourbon plank chicken, chicken was only two inches in diameter and was round, looked like processed chicken. The plank was over twice the size. Small portion of mashed potatoes and broccoli. When I asked for the check it took almost 10 minutes to arrive. People at next table left several minutes after we arrived however that table had not yet been cleaned when we left over an hour later. In my opinion, this is not isolated to this TGIF. Over the last few years the quality and service of the chain has been on the decline.
Last minute decision to eat out with the family as we didn't feel like cooking. Server was phenomenal- very friendly and got everything perfect. Food was what you would expect from Fridays - nothing fancy, but tasty and we'll-prepared
Really enjoy the food and my daughter is also a server there and it is nice to see her interaction with her customers. They love her!!
It was fine. There was hair in my soup. They replaced it but didn't offer anything for the inconvenience. Server was friendly and attentive. It was ok for a casual lunch.
They've updated the menu so there's more to choose from. Same decor but the bar area offers several TV's for those who need their sports fix.
Horrible! They didn't even honor my Open Table. Terrible service, food took 45+ minutes and came to us cold, no one checked in EVER. avoid!
The strawberry fields salad had three strawberry silvers and no pecans. I had to ask for them. I have had this salad many times and was disappointed.
Food was cold when brought out. Waiter was MIA on numerous occasions. Bad experience at this location. Will stick to Oswego location.
