TGI FRIDAYS - Allentown
It appears that they were short staffed and very slow in the kitchen. Our drinks took 25 minutes to come to the table and it too even longer for our food which did not taste good at all. It almost tasted as if it was microwaved. Always loved TGIF and this experience ruined it for me forever.
Slow poor service
Food was terrible and over priced
poor service all around
waited 15 minutes after being seated for server to come to table.
slow slow slow
had to ask multiple times for silverware, drinks (some of which never came)
ordered a beer that hat never came.
had to ask for a take home box multiple times...
just all around bad. when manager was confronted, ( by two other tables next to mine) i let them know.i felt they made excuses and then they offered a dessert as a comp for out trouble.
i was charged for it when i was given the bill and had to ask for it to be removed.
food was ok but not that hot.
i eat out slot and have probably never had a service as bad as this.
Meat was undercooked mashed potatoes was stiff. dessert was stale cheesecake was old Donuts on top was hard definitely expired dessert was free because of undercooked steak and salmon. Cheese sticks was great.
Everything was awesome! Our server April was very nice and very attentive. The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was very nice. Overall, me and my family enjoyed our time this particular location. I could see management around which is very nice and something you don’t see everywhere.
Great service with pleasant staff. Went for lunch but, I was happy to see breakfast items on the menu, too. My "all day omelet" had tons of veggies, cheese, & bacon. I loved the fries that replaced home fries at other places. The chicken quesadilla was enjoyed by a diner in my group. We shared green bean fries which are one of our favorites. A lunch combo with a chicken sandwich & french onion soup rounded out a wonderful lunch.
Did have a awesome overall experience, but the staff need to be more up beat more courteous, plus we had orders that were not correct nd drinks, they need to pay more attention.
We had a open table for 730. We arrived at 720 and they told us it would a 45 min wait time and that would be to get a table. Then another 45 before we could get our food. Due to not having enough plates. We are walked out.
The advertised special was not available. We had waited all day and paid an Uber driver specifically to get the special
All you can eat shrimp with ribs
Just deal with it
Won't be back
The food is okay for the price. Cleanliness wasn’t the best. Food presentation wasn’t good at all. This location hasn’t always been this way in the past. Nit sure what has happened. It’s not horrible nor is it the best! My server was really nice and attentive!
Cannot see my stopping in again no time soon!
Haven't been to TGIF's in a long time. Food was very good. Service great! We loved the string bean appetizer. I had the salmon and it was prepared perfectly. My husband always has some kind of hamburger, which he enjoyed. We will be back soon.
We got apologized to 4 times for food being late. The first time we didn’t realize they were even running behind until they brought our attention to it. Previous places I’ve visited have offered free meals because of this. It took them 4 visits to the table to finally offer a free dessert. We didn’t complain about the wait at all. The portions of food were terrible. My fiancée got a burger and had maybe 13 fries on the plate. We joked about it being a kid portion. I got the grilled chicken Cobb salad. It should not take 40 minutes for a burger and salad at 430 with a half full restaurant. The chicken on the salad was ice cold. Not sure if it’s suppose to be like that but was not good. Would not recommend!
I was very disappointed to learn that I did t really have a reservation but that they treated it more like a call ahead there were a lot of people waiting for tables and there were a lot of empty tables to be sat at.
I made a reservation for 3:45pm on Saturday with special instructions that it was my boyfriends birthday and to please bring a birthday dessert. Upon arriving the hostess was extremely rude and had an attitude. She didn't acknowledge my reservation as it was empty, which I understood, however she never even noticed my special request and therefore he never got his birthday dessert. Which isn't that big of a deal. However, when his parm encrusted chicken came out, it was completely raw. Our waitress returned it immediately and the general manager came out and apologized and paid for his meal. Our waitress Elizabeth and the General Manager were extremely sweet and apologetic, which we appreciated but since we arrived right before the dinner rush there really isn't an excuse for it. However, it was just so many things that occurred which is why I am giving our experience such a low review and will likely not return to this location.
I ordered salmon with vegetables the salmon portion was extremely small and vegetables were over cooked. I have been to several TGI locations and it’s very difficult to get a decent meal. It’s not the service it’s the food it’s always over or under cooked.
I was checked in quickly and seated but then we waited for 21 minutes before flagging down a busboy to ask if our server was coming? ? Within a few minutes Jimmy appeared (not who Hostess said would be our server, I cannot remember that name but I absolutely know it was different ) took our drink and food order and was very pleasant. Our drinks came quickly as well as our food. I'm thinking it was obvious that I was unhappy about our initial wait because throughout our meal, different servers and managers kept checking in on us.
If you get a burger make sure that they do not put the cheese spread on it ,it taste like saw dust
What a terrible place. There weren't many people in the place and now I know why. Other than the wings the food was terrible. Brought out the main course 4 minutes after the appetizers arrived and had no clue that was a problem. I hope I never go to a TGIF again.
It was busy due to it being the same day a graduation ended. Tables were all filling up and we didn’t get our food for an hour which I understood was because it was so packed. Once we got our food, it was hot and pretty tasty.
Had a reservation for 5:45pm but didn't get seated till 6:20pm after checking on it 3 times.
People waiting to get a table even though half the tables were empty. Had to get napkins myself and ask are server for utensils. Police and ambulance came for someone in bathroom !!!
seared more than an hour before meal came out
Setup the reservation on OpenTable (through Google Maps). Showed up 10 minutes early, hostess says we don't take reservations. Showed hostess reservation on phone, didn't matter. Sat for 35 minutes in lobby as #3 in line. If I knew that, why place reservation? 8 minutes after our arrival, elderly handicapped couple arrived and were seated ahead of all waiting patrons as if reservation was made. They were seated at table suitable for non-handicap patrons (meaning not designated as such). Commendable but had to wait longer for new table to clear; wait took too long for few patrons and no reservation.
Service was a little slow with getting drinks but our server was very attentive to us.
It was a terrible experience I went here for my daughters birthday it was 9 guest and they were so rude and disrespectful. The food was not cooked well . Never coming here again would not recommend going here .
place was closed, please remove me from your mailing list
The only good thing about our visit was the 50% off we received on our bill; the service was average (to no fault of the waitress's, she was training someone and was doing so in multiple sections of the restaurant), it took 1 hr 30 mins to get our food (3/4 meals came out cold) including the endless appetizers I had ordered.
We had to ask for someone to wait on us after sitting 15 + minutes. My husband got his food before everyone else apps took forever took over an hour for our meals to come then they forgot the child's dinner. You to eat there a lot but will have to really rethink about going back soon. To top it off the restaurant was not even busy. They really need to rethink their way of doing things
We selected this restaurant initially because of its proximity to Dorney Park. We were disappointed that the restaurant was out of so many selections at 5PM on a Wednesday, but the waitress more than made up for that. Had it nor been for the waitress, we probably would have left. With that said, the food was very good, especially the mozzarella sticks and pot stickers. You usually can't go wrong with a TGI Fridays and this held true.
Service was slow like it always is but the food was great .
The food was good and reasonabley priced, but the waitress was not knowledgeable on the menu.
Very good experience....our waitress was on top of things. We did receive a plate of cold boneless wings and told her about it and she took care of it in a timely matter.
We were charged twice for our bill. I did not see it until I checked my bank information. Called the restaurant spoke to manager and said they would get back to me to see what happened. I still have not heard back from them. Waiter was awful. He messed up our one order. Person did not eat until after everyone was done and meal was not comp. Waiter was not accommodating and seem to have an attitude problem over his mistake. I would never come back here again.
We took our 14-year-old son here to celebrate his birthday. He had seen the "endless apps" promotion and wanted to try it. We were seated quickly, but not after hearing some unprofessional banter among the 3 hosts. Our server quickly took our drink order, and asked if we wanted appetizers. Because there was nothing on the menu or listed as a special, my son asked about the "endless apps." The server had to ask management about it twice, but eventually told us the menu verbally.
We ordered our food, and waited a little longer than I would have liked for the food to arrive. My 14-year-old son had his first plate of appetizers, and was able to immediately order a second plate. My 11-year-old son enjoyed his bacon burger. I ordered a chicken and shrimp dinner, which bordered on being overdone and dry. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich, but an entirely wrong sandwich arrived. We told a different server about the issue, because our server did not check on our order. After a 20 minute wait, the correct sandwich was brought out to my husband, and he enjoyed it.
My son wanted additional appetizers, but it was difficult to flag down the server to place the order. We waited 15 minutes for the check once we requested it. We were very surprised to discover that we were charged for TWO sandwiches for my husband - the one he ordered as well as the incorrect one! We told our server, and again had to wait 10-15 minutes for the check to be corrected.
Our dinner took nearly 3 hours to complete, due to long wait times between courses. The food was underwhelming, and the service was terrible. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Service was terrible. No drink refills when finished before food was brought out. Chicken was over-charred and tasted burnt.
Sat 10 minutes..No one ever came to table..Walked out
We tried a place downtown but couldn't find parking where we felt we could leave our car packed to the gills and didn't want to drag everything into the hotel room and back out the next morning. So although we rarely dine in chain restaurants, we decided for burgers, TGIF would work. We had a charming wait person who did a good job of serving us. I had the bean burger - it was quite good. My husband had a cheeseburger. We both had some beer. I would go there again in a similar situation. I was pleasantly surprised.
