large space, good vibes, good food and cocktails - kinda pricey but that's what it's like in midtown.
Had lunch with a client, it was good and food was good and staff very friendly
Food came all wrong. They made it right. Eventually. Service was decent. Didn’t realize hotel restaurant. Was hoping for more ambience. Just an ok place.
Food was amazing but one thing I think they should do is lower down the music. Was pretty hard to hear the waitress and the waitress was also having a hard time trying to understand what we were saying.
Valentine’s Day date: Reservation was at 6:00. for 1 1/2 hours before the theater show we planned for, where we needed to do ‘will call’ for tickets at 7:30). We arrived about 10” early, and were seated (only 2 other tables had guests). Told the waitress about our need to be done in 1 1/4 hours. She neglected to place our order, and came back to the table to verify... after being there 20-25 minutes. Still took another 10” at least to get soup/salad. Dinner arrived, after a couple more reminders, at about 7:05. Asked for bill right then and to bring desert in ‘to go’ containers. Finished our food at 7:20 and still bill and dessert not there. Asked again. Finally left, after paying bill and grabbing the wine we didn’t have time to drink, and desert came just as we were leaving....about 7:30. We were quite disappointed, as there were almost no other patrons when we arrived, and when we left, all tables were filled, and served, and many had already received dessert and paid bills.
The food was good. Probably won’t choose this place again, although it should have been convenient for us to go to the theater.
What a great find! I have some dietary restrictions (no garlic, no onion, gluten free, no lactose, etc.) but they were so accommodating here. The menu has a very nice mix of gluten free and non-gluten free options for the whole party. Lots of options (healthy and comfort food). Our waitress was so sweet and let me ask all the questions I had, had lots of questions for me to share with the chef to make sure my dish was something that I could enjoy without fear of interfering with my food restrictions. And everything was really yummy. Our table had the beet salad with salmon, salmon with spinach, steak, mac and cheese and fries. All delicious. The space is really chic upfront, the back is really cool (street art, modern). The person who welcomed us was also very nice, seated me even though the rest of my party hadn't arrived yet. The back was a bit quieter than the front which was good for conversation. I enjoyed myself and will be back.
Good restaurant with chill vibes in a usually crazy busy area. Menu doesn’t have too many options but it’s good food.
You can find better food at a much busier place though. Trade offs I guess
Cool place but the food was not great, especially for those prices.
Our waitress was pretty bad. Never check on us unless we give her a look or physically go find her. Ridiculous.
Went out with kids before an event, food and service were great.
The food was great and excellent service! The music is a little loud if you are trying to have a business meeting but it was a great experience overall.
The service was slow. We waited about 10 minutes before a drink order was taken. My biggest complaint is that the music was very loud. It suited a bar more than a restaurant. The food was good, but there are too many other places to try. It was interesting.
Staff was friendly but short handed. Took a while to get our order for a party if 5. Food was a little on the salty side.
Cool place, very good service, food was average. We ordered flatbread that came out under cooked and when we asked to heat it again, they heated up the top (cheese) but the crust was still under cooked.
Did not stop reservations during a private event and we arrived for our reservation and had nowhere to go
Great food at an affordable price in New York
Just horrible in every way. Service was unbelievably slow , the order came out wrong . Had to send it back . Then they food was not edible
Worst service I have ever had in NYC. Terribly understaffed. Had family in town and I’m embarrassed I took them here.
Service was slow. Took over an hour to get dinner and had to keep asking for more water. The service was not what you would expect for the cost. Will not return.
Obviously a tourist trap. The website looks great. We ordered a fried Brie cheese app that was good, but came with crackers out of a box. For a meal we ordered a seafood paella, was dried yellow Spanish rice, the mussels spelled awful, the lobster looked and felt like rubber, the shrimp was okay. Overall we took two bites and asked to have it taken off the check. Our server was great and very understanding, he noticed we looked unhappy right away and handled the situation very well. But I will not be going back.
Our waitress was excellent but that was it. Food mediocre. Decor dismal. Menu not many choices. Hostess acted like she could care less if we are there or not.
Great single dining experience. Attentive staff. Not loud! Great food and service. Will be back for sure
Service was some of the worst I have had in recent memory. We had to find the waitress to get drinks and the check. The kitchen did bring our food out in a reasonable time and the food was good. Tables seated around us left the restaurant because they were seated and no one came to take an order for at least 10 minutes.
We walked in the door and no one was at the hostess stand. The place was maybe half full. This restaurant is part of a Crowne Plaza,(which I didn’t realize). We walked around and the place was trashed. Was very disappointed. We ended up leaving, since no one was available to seat us, but we probably wouldn’t have stayed if they had been available.
Food was very good. Service was very slow and waiter seemed oblivious.
Nice bar/restaurant, however they messed up our order. I ordered the 8 oz Beef Tenderloin, which seemed to be the most expensive item on the menu and ordered it ‘medium rare’. My girlfriend ordered the beef burger ‘well done’. When the dishes came out (eventually) after a 45-50 minute wait between appetiser and main, my steak was more than well done (even though I asked for med rare) and my girlfriend’s burger very very rare (when she asked for well done). Needless to say they offered us a round of cocktails on the house which was appreciated, on the account of the kitchen being ‘closed’ and obviously didn’t not have the decency to offer us a replacement meal, we had to end up switching meals as her dish made my girlfriend feel ill due to how rare her meat was.
Once the bill came, they also overcharged us for the bottle of Prosecco that we had. We ordered the $40 bottle and they charged us for the $55 bottle, and the waitress explained that the Prosecco bottle ‘buttons’ on the cash register were ‘the same, I had no idea because I never used it before’, which certainly did not fly and reflected incredibly bad on the restaurant.
Decor and design were stunning. Wait staff was a bit aloof and inattentive but I know that is a "thing" at some places. Food was good and kitchen accmodated substitutions without any hassle. Would definitely come back.
Food was amazing but the service was not that great. Felt like they were under staffed and it was like “all hands on deck”. Other than waiting forever for drinks etc. everything was great.
NYC trip. Good burgers
Service was awful - there was 1 person working the entire restaurant. Food was OK.
The ambiance was hip and they had a band which we enjoyed. We ordered the seafood paella and the 7oz filet. The paella was bland and the steak was very chewy. I notified the waiter that we weren’t that we were not all that happy with the food and he didn’t care what do ever. The place would be good for cocktails and live music but not for a sit down dinner.
Food was very fair, service was ok. They got the order wrong and didn't bring out one of our dinners until after the meal was over. They took that off the bill but the rest of our party ate while one of us just sat there. Food was not great. I wouldn't go back.
I met a friend who was in NYC for business. TGA was conveniently located and easy to get a reservation. The food and drinks were great too - I would highly recommend.
Good food and cocktails with live music on a Friday evening. Service could be better.
Drinks were fine. We ordered calamari, fries and sliders. We had to send back the fries and sliders as they were too cold to enjoy. Service was slow and sporadic, though the server/bartender was very nice and personable. He was pretty much handling everything and doing his best.
Excellent food, atmosphere and service! Took a client there for dinner and was super impressed.
Yes, I would recommend however, I was disappointed that they didn’t not have what I came for. According to the Instagram page, they serve French toast with berries and they did not have that the Saturday morning I visited the restaurant in fact, the breakfast menu was really small, about 6 selections and they were Turing over the kitchen for lunch ten min after I arrived and that was around 10:40 because we have a 10:30 reservation. I just wished they had what is advertised on social media and on their website.
Loved it! Great atmosphere and nice staff. The food took a little long to come out but it was worth it. Kids loved their food too!
We reserved a table at the bar bc it was still happy hour. When we got there they were going to sit us at the smallest table ever, there were 3 of us. Moved to a booth. Which we later found out was right next to a band that showed up. We moved. The band was ridiculously loud-we could not talk to each other loud. And they were BAD.
We ordered apps and wine. Food wasn’t great. Shrimp cocktail with sauce that tasted like ketchup. The space is very nice, service was fine but very unlikely I would return.
Delicious food from a simple menu and really well presented.
