TEYA - Gastronomía Yucateca Viva

Aunque lo respalda una gran tradición culinaria y el concepto del restaurante es bueno, no hace honor a la cocina de la Hacienda. Definitivamente no tiene el mismo sazón que el restaurante original, además que había poco personal para atender adecuadamente a los comensales

Soy cliente asiduo de la Hacienda Teya y en esta ocasión conocí por primera vez Teya Vive. Excelente comida, platillos con mezclas de sabores deliciosas. Muy recomendable.

En general el ambiente del restaurante es bueno, la comida es muy buena y se acerca a lo realmente yucateco. Los vinos los sirven bien, pero para los digestivos colocan demasiado hielos al vaso, punto negativo.

De repente lento el servicio pero en general atentos.
La cochinita, poc Chuc y longaniza muy bien. El cheescake de patagrass tmb.
El cóctel de ox chata y mojito de Chaya no estaban ricos, pero chinalima muy bien.

Todo estuvo delicioso! El servicio excelente! Y el ambiente súper agradable! Nos encantara regresar!! Gracias!

como siempre... un placer visitar teya, esta vez no en la hacienda, pero si en Merida.... lastima de la ley seca que limito el encanto de los alimentos ya que un buen maridaje siempre es especial. agradezco sus atenciones en tiempo de covid... adelante señores!!!!

At Teya, they’re serious about maintaining standards of cleanliness and are going beyond following the government’s standards. Seating appeared to be at 10-15% capacity.
We downloaded the menu on our phones and had many options to consider.
We thoroughly enjoyed their most unusual and delicious house salad and guacamole before our main dishes arrived. All were plated beautifully and the service was attentive and professional.
We’re looking forward to our next meal.

Overall it’s a nice restaurant.
The food is pretty good, but the service is a little off. For example they brought us the sauces for the chips like in most Mexican restaurants but didn’t bring the chips.
The outside area can be a bit noisy as they have live music in the complex

Sehr gutes Essen, gehobener Service und Atmosphäre. Etwas zu laute Musik, ansonsten modern mexikanisch.

No me gusto que me asignaran lugar en el segundo piso ya que llevaba falda corta, ósea la incomodidad de subir las escalerass..... la comida estaba casi cruda, obvio la regrese para que le den el cocimiento adecuado y cuando la regresaron por la espera no la disfrute, mi bebida tardó muchísimo para que me la sirvieran, ósea deguste mi platillo sin una gota, ni de agua porq ni si quiera eso me ofrecieron..... el lugar es muy agradable y el ambiente igual....

Ordered a Mohito cocktail to start. Bartender did not use simple syrup and instead used sugar granules which did not fully dissolve, so not good.

Guacamole was fine, and so were chicken tacos; but grilled octopus was just average. Chocolate ice cream for dessert was poor, as it contained ice crystals. Also, waiter brought my spouse’s dessert and forgot mine; waiter had to be reminded and my dessert arrived after spouses dessert was finished.

Also, we ordered 3 courses (before dessert course) and all 3 food courses arrived at once. Course timing poor,

Wonderful modern restaurant in a new mall space near the centro. Outside seating allows you to listen to the music from the common stage. Food is very tasty & unique, & service very attentive.

Gran comida, servicio regular

We loved this restaurant and we had three generations to please. The food was excellent, the drinks were also good and the service was top notch. The only thing I would comment on that could have been better was the drink service. We had almost finished all our appetizers before our drinks arrived at our table. We dined early so don't think it was a "busy" issue, but it would have been nice to have drinks with the appetizers. Too full to order dessert, but they looked delicious too.

We had made reservations for Christmas Day at Teya Gastronomia Yucateca on the recommendation of reviews we had read. We were a party of eight hoping to enjoy our Christmas Day dinner in Merida.
We were not disappointed! All eight truly enjoyed all the appetizers, main courses, and the wonderful desserts. We highly recommend Teya for large groups, small groups and pairs fine dining. Wait staff though professional was so guiding and friendly. We will return.

Amazing! Of the eight dishes we tried, we thought at least five were the best ever!

I confirmed our reservation as requested by Open Table for 8:30 Dec 24 but when we arrived it was dark with a large lock on the door. Had to walk the streets looking for somewhere to eat with no reservations. Teya made no effort to advise us they would not be honouring our reservation. Open Table apologized when we reported this. Can’t give a recommendation as we were denied the meal we booked.
