We have been at Texas Jacks a number of times over the years and I think this was an off night. Service was slow and confused ( the restaurant was half filled ) our Brisket had so much fat that it wasn’t editable, unless you enjoy fat. Has a great Bourbon collections and weak old fashions, oh well. The nachos are excellent. We haven’t given up on TJ and look forward to a better experience next time !

It was really good! I went for the chicken and waffles, it was very very good. My kids ordered the french toast. That was very good as well. I been here before for lunch and it was very good! I will definitely return for another visit!

The six of us go out for lunch almost every Saturday. We try and find a place that at least one of us has not been to. None of us had been here and sadly none of us will probably ever go back. The atmosphere and service were excellent. The food was subpar and greatly over priced. The two best things were the nachos and the corn. My ribs were dry as a bone as was most everyone's meat choice. My wife and I's bill was over $150 with tip. A lot for a bad lunch for two. The meat was as if it were glued to the bones. We read raves about the brussel sprouts and again we were disappointed. Perhaps it was a bad day, but for the price we probably won't risk another chance. I was hoping for much more.

We came to Texas Jacks to celebrate my son's graduation from high school. Barbecue is one of his favorite foods and he especially loves the briquet at Texas Jacks. They setup the private dining room for our eleven family members to enjoy a wonderful meal together. Our server was excellent and we had a wonderful time. The briquet, ribs, pork and sausage were all delicious. We recommend Texas Jacks to everyone.

I came to Texas Jacks on Sunday, June 2 to have a small 30th birthday brunch with a few friends. I have been to Texas Jacks numerous of time for their all you can eat brunch which we quickly learn that they do not offer any longer. That was no big deal my party and I was still excited because their food is always good. They service unfortunately was not the best do to what I believe the language barrier which I don't believe our server could not quite understand English well. Some of the request we would ask for we would have to wait or ask again because he simply did not understand. I would highly recommend possibly having someone shadow a server who may not be fluent in English. The difficultly then carried over into us paying for the bill, our bill was about $220 some of the party had cash and two people had cards which we asked the server to charge each card $50, in doing so the reminder of the cash left over which was a tip a little over of 20% ($50). The two people in the party receive their cards back not realizing that he charged both cards for $25. A few moments later the server comes to our table along with another employee to ask "was something wrong with his service because he did not receive a tip". This was extremely embarrassing as we sat outside among est over people dining outside, we then explained that he should have a $50 dollar tip then realizing the mistake he made because he probably did not understand what we was saying which was clear and instead he made a mistake which seemed as if we didn't tip, he then apologized for the mistake he made and was happy when we corrected everything and he received his tip. This honestly should not have happened, however I understand that things do happen I hope Texas Jacks can improve on servers that may not speak fluent English to make sure the customers are receiving great service.

Best BBQ I have had in the NoVA area...and I am a Texan. The brisket was moist and perfectly cooked over oak. The service was excellent and the managers and the staff went out of their way for customers.

The BBQ brisket is sensational - deep, smoky flavor with a sorta, kinda “crunchy” seasoned crust. Truly addictive!

Outstanding food and service! The only drawback on Texas Jacks BBQ was the noise since there is nothing to mute all the conversations and kitchen noise from the open kitchen as well as other customers. Otherwise, highly recommended!

We live local to Texas Jack's and finally decided to give it a try. The atmosphere is exactly what you expect at a BBQ place- loud, family-friendly, casual. The tables are oddly low and the chairs are a very uncomfortable wood form. We ordered a bunch of meats and sides to share. The meat all came out cold, but the flavor was good. The mac and cheese was hot and delicious as was the corn bread. The disappointment was the bbq sauce... I wasn't a fan of either option. We had a fine meal, but I won't be heading back any time soon. Our waiter was kind, attentive and on the ball.

As always, Texas Jacks was a great experience. I went with a friend to celebrate finishing our Boards exam. The food was great (ribs) and I highly recommend sitting at the counter to watch them prepare the food; you get to see them chop up the meat and it’s super easy to hear the person sitting next to you.

Being from Texas, I had high hopes to have a bit of home brought to Arlington. Food portions are good but not brought out hot. Service was okay but could have just been our specific waiter. Not impressed on this visit but will definitely return and try again.

Had a lovely brunch on the patio at Texas jacks on Saturday around 1pm. Inside was too noisy for us so we sat on the patio which was perfect (we are beating the summer heat). Server was super friendly and accommodating. Had good suggestions for us. Started with nachos with brisket. Liked everything except I’d have preferred more cheese and less queso. Entrees were well priced and tasty. Meal came out hot (which is sadly unusual for egg dishes) and the sauce for the brisket was tangy. We sat for about 2 hours (restaurant wasn’t full) and felt welcomed the whole time. We each got to-go items for the folks stuck at home.

Great place for barbecue! Nice energetic, casual atmosphere. Dined her for Mother’s Day for my mom — although I’m not a bbq eater anymore, everyone else enjoyed their meals. Did not realize their menu was limited to brunch only on weekends, we all found viable meal choices.

OMG -- the brisket is amazing! This place can be loud, but the food is fantastic. We enjoyed the nachos with chicken. The chicken was moist and a bit smoky. Had sandwich with generous serving of brisket on it it. Mac and cheese made me swoon. The brussel sprouts were the only failing -- underdone and pricey for the small portion. Staff is friendly and attentive, but not intrusive.

Made a reservation but still had to wait or was offered high table. Customers not diverse. Bone was in pulled pork, which probably was part of weight. Price was good. Sides (other than fries) are flavorless.
