A bit bummed by the experience considering the write up in Washington Post. Mac and cheese and the Mexican street corn were amazing, but the ribs were just meh. Chicken was super moist but was hoping for some Alabama white bbq and there were only two sauce options that were pretty basic. Honestly though I’m being picky about the food review bc the service was terrible and the noise level required shouting to be heard over the loud trance like music that seemed out of place for a bbq joint.

We had a wonderful lunch and appreciated the kids menu and lunch specials. Even though it wasn't very crowded it was still very loud. The food was delicious and the service was fabulous.

We celebrated my son's 22nd birthday there. He asked for Texas Jack's and it did not disappoint. Great beverages, sandwiches, salads and side dishes. He was embarrassed when they brought coconut pie with a candles, perfect!

The brisket egg rolls are a good try and the Brussel sprouts were on point. However, the pulled pork sandwich was dry and was on a weird bun. Others had the brisket. Meh. I didn't know where our server was. She never stopped by to ask about our food or refill our waters. The other staff quickly cleared the table. The prices were slightly expensive for the portions. For 2 slices of brisket, it was $18. Won't be returning.

Love Texas Jacks!! We typically do take out but today we stopped by for brunch with some friends and their kids who are visiting from out of town. Food and cocktails were excellent and service was good! In our opinion this is one of the best BBQ places in the northern Virginia area!!

Good, nice to sit outside too. Good service, super fast food delivery. 3 of us: Nachos with pulled chicken super flavorful (one of us ordered as an entree). Burrito with pull pork was huge could only eat half. Side of cucumber, feta and watermelon was nice but not as flavorful as I would’ve thought. Pulled pork sandwich was good with mac & cheese as a side that was very good.

Attentive friendly service with good knowledge of the menu was a great start. Add to that - creative drinks that paired well with the appetizers. Food had good selection, bbq sampler trays were clearly the specialty. Sandwich items were prepared well but seemed more basic. If you want to taste the excellent bbq, get a large sampler and a few fun sides - leave the standard sandwich fare for a spot without great bbq!

Being from Texas and an avid BBQ person, I’m at a loss for the amount of great BBQ we can find in the DMV. I can say, Texas Jacks met the challenge. We had the meat sampler and even though their sausage is not true Texas Sausage (kelobosa) it was the best smoked sausage I have had up in this area, minus the ones I smoke…lol. The brisket, chicken, sausage, all had amazing flavor. My wife had the pulled pork, pork ribs, brisket and she said they we equally amazing. Mac and cheese, and baked beans were spot on as well…if there was a negative, it was the cornbread…I was a bit disappointed there…but who really wants cornbread…I came there for the meat…amazing, if it wasn’t 2 hours away from me, I’d be eating there weekly.

Chicken is okay. Everything else is awesome. The mac n cheese is absolutely creamy and delicious, the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender with a beautiful charred, smoky ring, the sausage is always good, the pulled pork is wonderful (and I love pulled pork--it's the dish I use to judge all bbq joints). The cornbread muffins are tasty with the honey butter, too, and the coleslaw has just a bit of kick too it. The baked beans are sweet, but not overly. Our server was very accommodating. There are a lot of hard surfaces, so go here to eat, not to have any important conversations.

First time going to brunch and it was excellent. I had the brisket hash and it was delicious. We also ordered the biscuits, which was good but a little oily. I was impressed by the menu range and will definitely go back.

Texas Jack's is the best place in Arlington for BBQ. All of the meats are cooked to perfection and delicious as served. The sauces available are also delicious, but in my opinion not needed because the meat is already so flavorful. The service is always top notch; kind, courteous and attentive.

We have two young children and this brunch was wonderful for all of us! The staff was ready with a high chair and a booster seat for us. We were able to get our food pretty quickly after ordering, which meant our kids didn't have to wait too long to eat :) The food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Thank you so much!

Our third time eating here, the food seemed a little off? The brisket was great as always but the ribs were a bit dry and didn't have the flavor that we've experienced in the past and the mac & cheese was definitely dry to the point I ate just one fork full. Hey we're all entitles to having an off day, yesterday was theirs...I'll be back however!!

My family came into town and we made reservations. I had never been here before, and the food was amazing! Our waitress Elizabeth was super attentive and the management staff were extremely inviting. Food is always excellent, and our first brunch visit was delicious. Patio was pleasant, but would be much more enjoyable with table umbrellas to block some sun. Bottle of Coke for $7 (even if Mexican import) struck us as quite highly priced.
