Their service needs a lot of work. It took over thirty minutes for us to receive meat service and when meat did start going around they would pass our table. As well as, our waitress was friendly, but I wished she would have come to our table a little more often. For the price of our meal I shouldn’t be put in a position to hunt you down for more water. I was excited to go, because I had such an amazing experience at the Baton Rouge, Louisiana Texas de Brazil.
Honestly wasn’t impressed with this place at all. The quality of the meat was just alright. There were only a few guys bringing around meat and a full restaurant of patrons so they didn’t come to us very often. Took a while for two cocktails. They were out of spoons at the soup area so my soup got cold and I didn’t even get to try it.
And all of these things I could look over, especially because COVID times. It was honestly just sub-par, wasn’t bad but wasn’t good. I was willing to just overlook all of it until a $120 bill came out. I’m sorry but in now way is this place worth $120. I was thinking it’s worth $80ish. Won’t be returning.
These folks gave up part of their holiday to serve us. What a great bunch of people at Texas de Brazil. Service was second to none, they were friendly and very attentive. Music was a bit too loud and the acoustics in the room combined with masks made it very hard to understand what the staff was saying, but they were extremely patient with us and we got through it with a few laughs. The food was great for the most part although some of the traditional Thanksgiving items (like turkey) were slow to come out. We adapted and had a fantastic family meal.
Average but nothing special for over $50 a person you would think you would get hit vegetables and not have to pay extra fir a desert. Food was average but other places are a better bang for your buck.
Ambiance is great and the servers keep your plate plenty full!
The salad bar and the hot food bar was good. The meat that was brought around to the table was really dried out. The parmesan chicken was really dry and so was the pork. Even the filet mignon was tough. The flank steak was the best out of all of the meat. I had purchased a gift card from Sam's so we figured we needed to use it. I won't go back. The service was good though.
Pretty late and the night before thanksgiving so I understand, just brought out the same 5 meats over and over again, it was good but it was just eh. Also was really excited for the lamb but it had no flavor to it. But the flank steak and the spicy and garlic cube steaks were amazing. Just not really a 50$ experience.
This place is not worth it for the amount of money you would spend.. The meat they brought around was extremely tough to eat.. not to mention you'd get bigger portions going to a tapas restaurant.. Also very few items on the buffet for the price...if you want more options go to a Golden Corral... less money too
Had the perfect table and the servers brought all the meat we could ask for. Would love to go back soon, but will have to wait for the splurge.
Overpriced for what you get. We were expecting an experience similar to a Fogo de Chao, but were greatly disappointed. The salad bar selection was nothing special, and the meats brought by the table were okay but not great. We spent $145, including tip, for two people. We certainly didn't feel like it was a great experience for the price.
Cold, not comfortable. Not very inviting. Came around slow with all the different meat they suppose to have to offer. $52 a person plus drinks and tip should be very fast and never have to wait for anything. I would not go back, for that price you can go to any steak house in Stl and fine dine
The gauchos (servers who walk around with skewers of meat) rarely come to our table.
With the price you paid better go somewhere else.
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience! The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely amazing! We are looking forward to our return visit!
No meat coming around we waited 10 minutes then they only brought out pork then they disappear again
My boyfriend and I went for our 9 year anniversary. Food & atmosphere was fantastic.
We love this place. Food is excellent. Service is great. Last night, our table was a bit too close to another table and the manager moved our table away from the large group, so we had some personal space. That was a nice touch.
The food was pretty good. Was disappointed that a lot of what I saw on the website was not offered(specifically through sushi) It took quite a while to get our drinks. The waiter and meat carvers were certainly trying. They were all amazingly nice. The experience was terrific overall. We had a blast.
We've had a good past few experiences but this one wasn't the best. The food was great but it seemed like the men serving the food were more attentive than our actual waiter. He didn't even ask if we wanted more water; my husband had to stop him to ask for water. He walked past us numerous times to check on other people but didn't stop for us. We'll be back but hopefully we will not get the same waiter.
We have been long time fans of Texas de Brazil and have purchased several packages and dined in different cities. The St Louis location has progressively gone way down hill. The meat is much saltier and frankly so is the staff. Despite being empty, the servers were very slow and our waiter disappeared. We had to request him several times just to order dessert, drinks or to get the check. The meat was either raw or well done and there was not the variety we have had before. I had called ahead of time to request a corkage fee as I wanted to bring my own wine for a special occasion. The hostess confirmed for me that is was $15 per bottle. When the bill came it was $20 and they refused to correct it. At the end of the evening the cost of $380 for 4 people was not worth it at all. This is the last time I will go to this location.
Excellent customer service waiter Phil was very attentive
Selection of meats was disappointing but it may be due to Biden supply incompetence. Disappointed that lamb chops were extra cost. It’s been a while since eating at a Texas de Brazil, Fogo de Chao, or Chima Steakhouses but I’ve never been charged extra.
I had a reservation for 5:30. Place was not busy but I was only offered a choice of 2 small tables in poor location. Had to request refills on drinks. Meat service was very slow in arriving and was clumped together in groups rather than having a continuous but spaced offerings.
I have been to 2 other similar restaurants that were the same style but this one was the better of the 3. Had a great dinner with my wife for our anniversary.
It was great. We usually go there for birthdays .
Service was extremely slow. I understand you don't want meat left over but it was obvious what you were doing. Also, I had to tell one of the servers to cover his nose with his mask; this is a management issue since I saw a number of employees with uncovered noses.
Very enjoyable birthday experience. Come with an empty belly because there are so many delicious options. Servers were all kind and courteous.
Ist time there was for my bothers birthday customer service, food, atmosphere was so nice I brought my husband for his first time for his birthday
Took alot of time to get our food . And the meat was either well done or raw , no medium rare
The food was OUTSTANDING!! The service was lackluster. I wanted to try everything but once they came by with a taste of the meats they never came back. Our waiter left us sitting there with no drink refills and I was still hungry after we left because they never brought the meat around again. Over a hundred dollars and I was still hungry! NOT COOL Texas De Brazil! I will go back because of the food NOT the service.
JUST okay. Most definitely not worth $50 though. Great salad bar, wide selection. But some things were cold when I think they would have been better on the hot side like the asparagus, green beans, & arguably the salmon & artichokes. The Scallop potatoes were tasty but thats all we really liked from the "sides" bar. Meat was JUST okay as well. Not very well seasoned but the Gauchos** came consistently & gave plenty.
I would've loved this place much more but the meats were overcooked. We were told that everything is cooked to medium rare unless you want something different. Everything was medium well or well done versus medium rare. I might've had one or two meats that were cooked properly but everything else was cooked far past my liking. I won't be back. I'll go to the Chicago location instead. Service was exceptional!!! The servers were great but the meats, not so much. I would've given everything five stars if the meats were cooked to my liking. Great job anyways.
delicious food and amazing staff! our waitress was very helpful and answered all of our questions.
Been to a nice Brazilian Steakhouse?…it isn’t this one. Lost our reservation, then given an Estimate wait time of “I don’t know.” Once seated, you must get your own plate from the salad bar if you expect the meat servers to come by. Told you can’t go to the salad bar without a mask (no problem), waited 15min for masks to be provided-then realize you are the only people wearing them at the salad bar. We had our 2yr old son with us…wine glasses were immediately removed without asking, water poured, and weren’t offered ANY beverage options!?
Food-two meat servers handling the entire restaurant, one of which had an eyesight issue because he came to our table ONCE…the other did what he could, but 4 stops in 75min is ridiculous. The meats were below average-downright poor for a Brazilian steakhouse. Left out of irritation after 75min with empty stomachs and a $115 bill.
I love coming to this restaurant. Food is delicious and they salad bar as great selections. We always receive great service when we come here.
A little more info at time of setting to know how things work for sure as far as special requests for the meats. Other than that everything was great.
Blame it on the pandemic and people not wanting to work I guess? The server we had did as well as she could with what she described as 2 days of training. She told us the staffing wasn't at a good level and she had been there alone on several days with just a couple of the guys serving meat and a manager. They didn't even have a bartender on that day from what I understand. We hadn't even finished our salads and had only had 2 of the guys bring us meat. We noticed they stopped coming by the table. By the time our server got back to us 15 minutes later she said the meat guys thought we were already done.
This place is going to hell. Used to be a great experience. Covid and getting paid better to stay at home have doomed this place.
Overall good. Short staffed so felt sorry for the people who were working and I felt they did a fantastic job under the circumstances. The family members who experienced their first time there loved it. Thanks for making it a special evening.
Everything was delicious with the sole exception of dessert. Crème brulée was ordered by one member of our party and whoever prepared went a little wild with the culinary torch. The crystalized sugar was almost burnt, not a good taste.
Celebrated birthdays! Excellent attention by Carlos and serving by Manny!!! Meat servers surrounded us with choices! Outstanding all around. Thank you all!
