Texas de Brazil - St Louis
A lot of the meet options were like warm. Service was good.
Fantastic food, great service, safe atmosphere. We even had to take cover during a tornado warning, and came back to our table with clean plates and silverware. Really nice experience all around!
I never write reviews, but this restaurant was great! Food was awesome, service was outstanding, and mgmt was top notch!
Our reservation was at 7pm on Sunday night for party of 5. We were seated right away. The restaurant was not packed, but there were a few larger parties and it took a while before the waiter noticed us and came by to get our drink order. The food is great and everyone enjoyed the experience. We did not see every meat offered come by our table, but the staff was very good about asking whether there was something that we wanted. Our favorites is the leg of lamb and lamb chop, which are not available at the other Brazilian BBQ places around town. Since we had the VIP certificate, the price was not too bad.
The quality of the food, ambience and service was top notch.
I know of no other place to eat where you get to try so many different kinds of meat brought to your table on skewers. My husband’s and my favorite was the flank steak, so tender and delicious! Our friends loved the beef ribs the best. The Brazilian sausage is a little spicy, which I really like, and so good! The au gratin potatoes are the best I have ever had. We also split a dessert of the chocolate cake which was awesome!
Could have been much better much better. I have been to another Texas de Brazil in another state and was expecting the same great experience and was disappointed with this one. We had reservations for 7:15 pm and the salad bar area was empty of many items and didn't get restocked until we were almost done with our dinner. There was a limited amount of meat choices that came few and far between. Some of the meat was cooked perfectly medium rare and some was burnt or well done. Most of the time we were there we were waiting for the servers to bring meat. We requested two types of meat to be served and waited at least 20 minutes or more before having to request it again and again. We were about to leave when one of the requests finally came so we decided to stay and then proceeded to wait about another 20 minutes before our second choice was brought. I'm not sure if the poor service was due to a lack of communication, lack of experience, or a combination of things.
It was extremely difficult to hear because of the noise in the restaurant and we were unable to understand what the servers were saying without having to ask them to repeat it a few times. We could not have a normal conversation and had to basically yell at each other across a two person table in order to hear. Some soundproofing would help with the amount of noise. If they improve on their service and the noise level it could be a great place to eat.
Meats were all delicious. I was born in Brazil and felt that most items were pretty authentic. I would take out the sushi and add another vegetable dish. We had a great time.
Yes, the meats were delicious and the self-serve salads extensive. You must be sure to look for the meat add-ons, like mint jelly for the lamb and sauteed mushrooms for the beef, in the self-serve area. Fun experience, an atmosphere for celebration.
We were there eating for 1.5 hours and only had the opportunity for 5 meat selections. I had filled my plate with sides but by the time meats were made available, the other items were cold. Did not even bother eating those items. This happened 2-3 times. I finally sat empty plated until meat was available, then went for other items. All persons on our party of 8 experienced this. Overall we were very disappointed, especially considering the cost. None of the 8 will be return customers.
Came here to celebrate graduation with my family and had an amazing time. The service was excellent and so was the food. They even gave us a free dessert on the house when we mentioned that we were here to celebrate a graduation! Would definitely come again!
I felt like the price you paid was that worth the value received. I felt like the overall was overrated YouTube. The food amounts that come out was sufficient some of the food was too salty. The salad bar was not what I expected. The online site made it seem as if the salad bar was full with more choices but it seemed to be limited. More choices should be added to the salad bar for the price of your pain there was no fruit selection the choices were not the way they are shown on the pictures and online I feel the overall scheme should match the website i k a meaning expecting more but received the less. I feel the price I paid would have been better spent at a Golden Corral with more options. I ordered a soda twice and never received it.
My experience was not great. We left before we ate most of our meal and the quality overall was not very good. Then, on top of it- three of the five members of our party got sick several hours after eating there. Not drawing my own conclusions, I'll let you do that-
Excellent experience! I will be back. I have not one complaint.
Meat, meat, meat! The meat is delicious but I thought there would be more hot side options. It’s pricey but makes sense because of all the meat options.
Worst experiment ever. If you wanna something good food instead of unlimited food, go for some other places. Food was way too salty and service was terrible. The waitress even took all tablewares away before we requested for check.
Very nice restaurant with fabulous food. They may have been a bit overwhelmed by the Mother's Day rush but, I feel this is no excuse for not being fully prepared in terms of ramping up wait staff. My family and I enjoyed the experience, wish we would have had an opportunity to sample all the selections. Maybe next time.
Because of the good reviews this Texas De Brazil had recently received, I decided to try the St. Louis location, even though my other experience with a Texas De Brazil in Tacoma Wa was disappointing. I received the same poor service, low quality, over cooked meat, with extremely limited choices that I had at the other location. I am done trying Texas De Brazil, which is so saddening. When Brazilian Steakhouse is done right, it is amazing! I would recommend skipping Texas De Brazils entirely, and going to The Grill From Impenema in Seattle Washington or the Brazillian Steakhouse in Las Vegas.
Great variety of food and excellent service. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
The experience was awesome. The food is great especially the lamb. We loved it!
Great looking restaurant. Service was only decent at best by the waitress. They need to work harder on the service given at the tables. Hostesses were excellent.
Exceptional food and service! We always enjoying celebrating special occasions here. We have never been disappointed!
Love the food and the gauchos!! They’re service was impeccable and they were hasty to bring any specific food to us that we asked. Our waitress, Sarah, was awful. We saw her at the beginning of the meal and she brought drinks, but that was about it. She walked by our table multiple and our drinks were empty and not once did she ask if we’d like another. I’m hesitant to bash her, but I’ve been here three times now and had her twice and both times she’s been awful. Definitely needs to act like she cares about her work and show she wants to be there! Management should definitely look into observing her customer service skills. I will be back, but I will ask from now on not to have her serve us.
Had a wonderful anniversary date there, the food was fantastic.
Lynn was an outstanding waitress, very accommodating and went above and beyond.
Excellent meats, incredible salad bar, very good macqueca and great service. Thoroughly enjoyed my second visit!
We are fans of Brazilian steakhouses. We enjoy the format and the meats. We were so disappointed on this one though. The meat didn’t come as frequently as in other places, and it was cold or burnt when it arrived. We kept asking for picanha and garlic picanha, but somehow it didn’t make the rounds as frequently as we had liked.
Our waiter tried hard to get our favorite cuts coming but he was not successful. All in all a bad birthday experience only made a bit better by the fact that they gave us a free desert.
Came here for a pre-Mother’s day dinner. I just want to say I was disappointed. I truly love Fogo de Chao. However, they don’t have one in the Saint Louis area. So, I thought I would try a new Brazilian BBQ. I thought the salad bar was lackluster. The cilantro shrimp were salty. There was not a variety as I would expect. The salad bar seemed picked over. The meats had a weird texture and I am not talking about the needed salt. It’s like an odd slime. I had to beg to have certain meats brought to the table and some never came. The server seem to disappear at the most inconvenient times. But, was prompt to bring the check! The manager did bring the check, but what am I going to say? I made a 7:30 reservation and your salad bar is picked over, your meats seemed slimy, the meats come out slowly to the point another sever apologizes, and some never do come out. I politely paid and left. Felt bad for my mom. I only make it home 2 times a year and we should have went to Ruth Chris’s. Save your money. Go somewhere else.
Service was a little slow, but I am sure that was due to a couple of kitchen staff that had quit that day. Excellent food!
We were among the first in Clayton to be invited to this restaurant when it opened. We frequently visit the Nashville location and Tulsa, as well. Irvine, CA is our secondary home and the Texas de Brazil there is a favorite for weekly dinner. Something has gone terribly wrong in Missouri. The staff turnover rate is very high. Gauchos are very inconsistent with not only bringing meats to the table but remembering the temperature requested. A table of 4 requesting rare or medium rare received only well done (shoe leather quality) meats and were frequently "skipped" by gauchos carving in our area of the restaurant. More experienced staff and management need to return to this location and train this entirely new group of employees. Gabe is the only familiar face and that is a tragedy.
Fun experience, delicious meats and salads. Good for a celebration like ours (birthday).
Excellent food. Excellent service. Great place for a special occasion. Will be returning.
Compared to the Denver Texas de Brazil we usually frequent, the St. Louis TdB lacked in both service, quality and quantity of meat choices.
Even though the restaurant was only half filled, we had to wait 10 minutes after our reservation time to be seated. We were probably half way through our meal when the waiter finally brought our wine and done with our salads before the first offer of meat appeared.
Even on a busy Saturday, we were promptly seated (with reservations) and the service was outstanding from the beginning until the end! Food was excellent. Our glasses were always filled. Make sure to get the sangria with red wine!
Will be back! Cannot wait! -Brock G.
My only problem with Texas de Brazil is that while the food is prix fixe, and the desserts are correctly ala crate, I resent being nickeled and dimed on Diet Coke. I know going in that I’m going to drop at least a Benjamin. That’s fine... It was our anniversary and I was prepared for that. But Diet Coke in cans at $3 each? That’s just rude. There will be a next time, and I will drink iced tea. When a restaurant does things like that, it shows that it really doesn’t appreciate its customers.
You can love this place, but you might come here super hungry to eat a lot (all you can eat) and because it’s a little pricey.. The decorations are pretty and Great Service!
My family that can be very picky, loved our experience! Our waiter was very attentive & the meat carvers were as well. The salad bar had quality dishes to indulge in & was kept clean! The dessert was decadent and was a nice portion. The experience left nothing to be desired.
Great fun and food. Ask for the grilled shrimp! Enjoy!
I could not stop eating! Went with friends to have a fun night out and it was! Every member of the staff was fantastic, every bit of the food was enjoyable and we look forward to going back. Quote of the night "oh, no, I'm meat drunk."
Great Restaurant , the food was wonderful and the service was outstanding.
