They are not ready to reopen. The modified from buffet style to bring you what you request from the back. Servers were not trained for the change. 45 mins to get 1st meat. About 10 minuet wait from when you finished a round to the next meat arrived. Had to get up twice for silverware and more meat after 15 mins.
Best service in Mobile. The food is amazing and the buffet is the best I’ve ver seen. Will return for sure.
The food was absolutely amazing. The salad bar was so unique and the variety of meat pass arounds was awesome. Yet I was VERY disappointed in the service. Our server, Ashley, was very nice and polite. But, I made reservations for me and my boyfriends 3 year anniversary and we only saw our server a handful of times. We planned on having drinks and hanging out for a while. At first we ordered a round of beers. After the first round, my boyfriend ordered one more beer and we never saw our server after that. I was only able to order 1 beer and my boyfriend 2 the entire 2 hours we were there. After that, we finished eating and sat at our table for a good while waiting for our check to come out. It almost felt as if we were not even acknowledged. I made reservations knowing the prices of the meals but was very disappointed with the service we got along with the meals. :/
Pace yourself! All of the food is great so we didn't have room for any of the desserts....and they look fabulous!

We went for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. From the time we arrived, until we left, the staff did an outstanding job of making our evening fabulous. The food and atmosphere were also second to none. We will return

So the meats weren't great, I expected more of filet mignon or the lamb. I liked the chicken in bacon and parmesan pork. But in the restaurant like this you come for meat. I could get a nice pork in any other place waaay cheaper than here and moreover take a to go box.
The price is less than Fogo de Chao. We got a bill for $85 for 2 people during dinner time, not counting drinks or alcohol. So it's around $45 for person during dinner time at Texas. In Fogo it's 100 per person for lunch there and 150-200 for dinner (same not counting drinks). But you pay for quality of the meats. In Fogo meats are astonishingly delicious. In Texas it was okay. So it's good to try cause there is no Fogo in Mobile, but I will not come again.
With that being said, staff was great and the looks and the feel of the restaurant was great. It's the meat that is taking points off.

THIS Texas de Brazil does not favorable compare with the others in Memphis and Chicago area. The salad bar is sparse, most of the meats medium grade and the ambiance spartan. Nice restaurant but not comparable to Ruth Chris for a similar price. They need to up their game.
I would maybe recommend Texas de Brazil if my friend was looking for a very upscale eatery. The food is very expensive . There was nothing special but the service was very good and the place was very clean. The food was hum drum. No surprises. I could cook this food in my own kitchen! For the price I paid I wanted to be "Wow-ed". I wasn't. I know Texas de Brazil is a mostly meat eatery but surely people in Brazil eat fish. Be creative.
Meat was either well done or very rare, i know they try to please everyone so if your not flexible with how you like your meat you might wanna look elsewhere. That being said everything taste good.

Tables were too close together. My chair kept getting bumped when waiters passed by. Not enough meat served and too long between waiters bringing meat selections. My husband needed more than 1 bite every 20 minutes. We left still hungry. My birthday dinner was ruined.
We had reservations at 2100 and wasn’t seated until almost half an hour later. Steak was cold. Just the worst experience and will NEVER come back to this location.
We had the reservation weeks before our date, however when we arrived, the host informed us that it would be 30-45 minute wait even with the reservation. 30-45 minutes turned to hours, they even seated walk-ins before reservations. The meats were served few and far between! And on top of it all I was over charged $158, although it was corrected after I said something! I will not be back anytime soon!!!

My husband and I have eaten here several times. The food is always great and the service is wonderful!
Asked for meat cooked medium, said they would bring it in a few minutes but never came. Very slow to come around with the meat and some of the available meats never came or came late when we were ready to leave. We were looking forward to our dining experience but left very disappointed.
The food was good. The waitress was great.
My only complaint, my wife is pregnant and can't have undercooked meat. We explained that to the waitress and manager on duty and asked for some meat cooked well done. We never got any beef cooked more then Medium. It was with the 40 dollars for me. But it wasn't worth it for my wife she only ate about 5 pieces of meat the whole evening.
Enjoyed great service and food
They did not come around enough with meat. Filet only came by twice and only because we asked our waitress to get them. First time it was perfect, second time way over cooked. Salad / hot bar small compared to other de Brazil's we have been to. Waitress was good.
The food was good... just VERY slow. I felt like the kitchen was having issues keeping the meats coming out in a steady flow. By the time the meat servers would get to our table of 4, there might only be 2 small pieces of meat on their skewers....this would sometimes be after a 10-20 minute wait in between meat servers. Very disappointing. We were there over two hours because the food took so long to come around. The kitchen was also having issues keeping the hot food full on the hot bar. I went several times and 3 of the 5-6 hot dishes were completely empty. It was at least 20 minutes before they got it refilled. Bottom line, food was good, but don't come if you are in a hurry and be prepared to stay a while. They definitely have some issues to work out...
We had an excellent experience at this location. We have visited several Brazilian Steakhouses over the years, and this is one of the best. Mark was one of the best servers and offered excellent recommendations on what to try. Will definitely visit here again!
Great restaurant to have in Mobile.
Our server downplayed the desert we were supposed to get. It was like she didn’t want us to get them. It came with special we all got but only two out of six got it because of her Describing dessert as comparable to Betty Crocker cake. Three in our party only like well done so we asked for chicken breast and some sort of well done steak. One in our party ate zero meat because until it was time to go the criteria was never met. It was my sons birthday we had candles but they were not brought out in cake. Drinks took 45 minutes to get and refills were never offered. I have been to you restaurant two other times and really enjoyed it but this particular time I have to admit I was extremely dissatisfied!!
I am appalled by the treatment my party received by General Manager, Kelly Niles. I am a repeat patron to this restaurant and purchased several gift cards during the holidays to gift to friends and family. Last night, my wife and I were excited to share this experience with my elderly parents. It was their first time eating there and they used the $100 gift card we gifted them. Our server, Miles, ran our bill and charged their gift card for full price meals plus desserts versus charging us for the special that was emailed to my wife that was good from 1/27/20-2/6/20 that included dessert. Miles said he understood my wanting this corrected and that he'd have to talk to his manager. His manager, Ms. Niles, walked over and curtly explained that the gift card was already processed so it couldn't be corrected. She said we were supposed to mention it before they ran the bill. I apologized for not mentioning it beforehand but asked that they please correct the bill as it was a large difference in price. She then said you can't get the special with a gift card. There's nothing in the email or on their website about not being able to use the gift card for a special and we didn't understand but we conceded and she walked away. We talked it over but it still didn't make sense to us. We told Miles we'd like to talk to her again. She walked back to our table and stated very rudely "what is it now". We all looked at each other shocked at her response to us. I calmly asked her not to have an attitude that we are just trying to understand our bill. She laughed and said "I don't have an attitude" and said we could not use a gift card and asked us to leave the restaurant. She was talking very loudly at us and my wife asked her not to yell at us. She said "I have the right to ask you to leave-get up now and leave”. We were all in shock. She never asked how was our meal, apologized for the confusion or thanked us as her customers. She simply didn’t want to talk to us.

The food and service were just what I expected and enjoyed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and a wonderful experience.
My wife, child and I spent nearly $200 left frustrated and hungry after almost 2.5 hours of being ignored. What food we did receive was either unseasoned and bland or so salty it was inedible. Also the cold shrimp on the salad bar was starting to turn rancid. We were crammed into a table where our chairs were literally touching our neighbor's chairs. In approx 2.5 hours we were visited by approx 6 carvers who portioned out embarrassingly small amounts of meats. In all the time we were there we were served approx enough meats to fill maybe 1 shot glass per person. After much apologizing the manager convinced us to order desert. We paid full price for what turned out to be 2 pieces of cake cut from a prepackaged frozen cake. That explained everything to me. It was an additional $25 for jazzed up Sara Lee frozen cake. I have been to probably a dozen different Brazilian steak houses and was never served such poor quality food or received such poor service. After more complaining the manager offered us a 10% off coupon to come back. Are you serious?! How insulting. We will never set foot in any Texas De Brazil ever again. If we want fast casual quality food, there are plenty of chains for us to choose from, and we would've paid a 1/3 of the price. We chose to dine at Texas De Brazil because we were expecting quality and service commensurate with their pricing. We don't have an issue paying what we did, as long as we receive the quality, a reasonable amount of food so that we all would not leave hungry, and service that any reasonable person would expect.
Our first experience at TDB.. we were not disappointed... our server Miles did and excellent job and the manager on duty Katie was incredibly attentive , truly caring about our dining experience.. we shall return to the Mobile, Al location!
The ambiance and service was good, but disappointed in meat options (not enough variety), long wait times for meats, and even though we were there for two hours did not get to try all meat options. It seemed like every time I saw something I wanted by the time it got to our table it was gone.
Our experience was wonderful. Samantha. our waitress, was excellent. One of the gauchos (I didn't get his name - young, thin,white guy with pulled back hair) was attentive and wished me a Happy Birthday! Awesome food and service.
