For my first time very good experience and service was on point
Nice anniversary dinner just a little loud and crowded.
All the meats were well done at best, most were burnt. They re usually very good about this, but not this visit.
The food was amazing appetizer, main course, and dessert.
Food was decent. Seemed like the chefs were cooking the meats as quick as they could which resulted in burnt outside and raw insides. Service was okay. Not sure if restaurant was short staffed due to COVID.
Compared to other Brazilian steakhouses like Fogo de Chao and Chama Gaucha this one was not up to par.
Although we still had a good experience.
Best place for all different types of steak. Fajita, piccana, Filemón, spicy piccana, garlic piccana, leg of lamb, lamb steak, beef ribs, so much to choose from. It’s heaven on earth!
Excelente salad bar and beef
I had an opportunity to visit Brazil for vacation during this winter break. My first thought when I arrived was to go back to TDB and get some delicious food that never disappoints me. Thank you always Philipi “the manager” for the hospitality, fresh ingredients, and outstanding staff. TDB McAllen is the best. Happy New Year.
The food was delicious, but the place was really dirty. There were spills everywhere, I slipped on more than one occasion. My youngest daughter spilled her soda on the floor and when I flagged down the waitress she simply brought us a brown napkin to wipe it up and left. We basically had to sit in sprite the remainder of our time because nobody came to clean up. Refills were impossible to get since our waitress was nowhere to be found at times.
There just wasn’t enough servers and waiters to do the excellent job usually done at other Texas de Brazil. There wasn’t as many meat selections either, but the 6 that were brought were excellent.
Food was delicious, waiting staff wasn’t attentive, & the party sitting next to us made us feeling as if we were in a bar.
Texas de Brazil, as usual, didn’t disappoint. Great food and great service.
Food was delicious as usual for Texas de Brazil. Gauchos were very pleasant and explained the different meat items and attentiveon requests. Mojito we ordered was basically a small glass and mostly ice.
For our first time here it's over-rated. The food for the price, don't see myself returning. There are better restaurants, better food and service for so much less of a price.
Nothing is more upsetting than making a reservation, being seated, then waiting over 10 minutes to be approached by my server just to tell me she’ll be right with me, then to wait another 10 minutes to take my drink order and bring me my beverages. For the price of money I spent, service was beyond disappointing. Victoria (our server) was either new, or just too tired to care. She immediately offered an excuse which I found insulting and a bit immature.
I went there expecting more of a selection of food, yet did not receive that, yet towards the end of my evening I witnessed others receiving selections of meat I was never offered.
Victoria even failed to bring out the correct dessert selection, and included ice cream after I specifically said no ice cream.
I’ve been to other “Texas de Brazil’s,” in Texas, and my service at these other locations was exemplary. It’s unfortunate the location in McAllen fails to uphold the same values and regard to customer service.
Rest assured I will not be back, nor will I ever offer a great review for the McAllen location.
Also, Texas is located in the United States where English is the first language. Both the host and waitress began all communication with me in Spanish. The staff lack understanding of the ethics in which we live here in America.
had to wait for meat, so got full on salad bar
not a big selection on meats
only tried flank sirloin and beef ribs (towards end)
wasn’t crowded or half packed with customers to have to wait for food but i guess that’s how they get us to get full on salad bar and walk ou paying $140
I was very unpleased with the service. I went to celebrate a birthday and when we had our buttons flipped to green, it felt like it took forever to get the meat brought to our table. They also did not bring all of the meat listed on their menu even after special requests were made. We were very unpleased with the service.
It was reserved for lunch at 12:30 and at the end was charged for dinner. No notice of said charges were ever mentioned or notified about. All due to holiday. Not right at all. Will not recommend to any one on the holidays.
great service and food was up to par. great all around
Had to wait for meat to be served and when it arrived it was all raw
Horrible service was expecting to food to be better
First time visit here but have been to other brands before. This was amazing!
Our waitress was amazing. Everything was clean and well put together. Would definitely come again!
The crew always does a great job even though it is very busy. I will say one of the meats was pretty rare. Maybe too rare for my taste but other than that everything was pretty good. I also will say that some of the pork dishes are very dry tasting. The salad bar was also well stocked and maintained.
Great wedding anniversary dinner!
We had a great date night, enjoyed everything.
The best !!! All throughout the dining the experience was awesome. Food was fantastic also. Keep up the good work.
Best staff ever. Food is great. The best Brazilian Food experience in the Rio Grande Valley.
Excellent selection of meats and salad bar has many different items. We were celebrating a Brazilian friend’s birthday and he said the food was just as good as it was in Brazil.
Everything about this place is awesome. Can't wait to go again
Excellent food and atmosphere, my wife and I went for our anniversary dinner and had a blast.
Great service as usual
A great place to enjoy great food and spend some time with family and friends. The restaurant always has great staff and awesome management! It's always a pleasure to go there.
Great service thanks
Such a great Thanksgiving Day experience! So glad we went there!
The waitress was not very attentive guests. She did not come around to table often. I was given a free desert to amen the lack of Service. I am used to having wait persons be very attentive to their guests. I will give Texas De Brazil another chance and return.
Although our sever was great, the meats were dry. We went for the lamb chops we’ve eaten forever to find out they are now a premium, extra cost item on top of an already expensive meal. Compared to locations in Dallas we were not impressed.
The chairs and floor are greasy and with foods dropped on it. Only a few types of meat on the menu were served. You have to request to get the others and it takes 30 mins for them to bring it to you. (So I guess, if you don’t request it, they won’t make it)
Great service and exceptional food the staff was very attentive.
Restaurant is located at The Plaza Mall so parking is a little tough depending on the day you decide to go on. Hostess walking in are extremely friendly. The wait staff is very attentive. Food over the past few visits has been salty on most of the beef and the chicken and pork have been very dry. Salad bar has some great selections and very tasty. Overall the restaurant offers a lot of options for everyone. It is definitely a place to check out.
