Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Tex
Cheese Bread Roll
Great experience on this visit. Will definitely go again.
Service was such a disappointment. We sat with empty plates for 15 minutes after turning our card "green" AND telling our server we were ready for skewers. I can only guess we were too far for the churrascarias to make their rounds. We saw them serving all the tables immediately outside the kitchen, but we were in an opposite corner (furthest from the grill) and they would not even glance our way. Extremely disappointing and irritating. After we spoke with a manager, the service did a 180° turn and we ate our fill. I just don't like for it to get to the point where we have to involve a manager. We were very patient. If dining here, ask to be seated near the grill.
Excellent food and service. Atmosphere was great. Overall an outstanding experience.
Excellent service variety of selections of meats go hungry or this place isn’t for you excellent staff
Two of the three dining complained of lukewarm soup, you ran out of spring lettuce @ 7:00pm, so 1 person dining did not get a salad. There was also limited variations of the meat selection, which again was subpar to what we received before the pandemic. Overall it was fair. at best, this dining experience.
They also had trouble with my discount card, which after 15 minutes the manager said he would discount the meal and take it up with corporate.
I think we will wait until we are past this 50% dining limit and the issues we are facing before we try again. With limited customers, the quality seems to be compromised, hopefully, this is just a minor issue that will change when everything returns to normal. I'm not ready to recommend this location at this time.
everything was exceptional starting with the salads, hot sides , desserts and especially the different taste of the meats cooked to your liking
We were seated by the salad bar, and thus, we were ignored by the staff serving the meat. We had to bring it to our server's attention. We were still unable to try all the meat options due to the fact that they did not come by our table. Our server was very nice. Took very good care of us. The noise level was rather High. And the salad bar was so so. We all agreed that the food at Rodizio's was much better.
Excellent Service!!. they did really cater to how you like your meats
Overpriced! Mainly cheap cuts of beef /meat that were over cooked like flank, and top sirloin and chicken. Salad was good. Way too expensive for what you get.
Always friendly staff ! Manager is very courteous!
Service like always , excellent!
The meats were
Excellent. My husband never got his salad. The floors were greasy throughout the restaurant and fairly noisy, not as nice as other De Brazil’s that are not in malls. A lot of money could have been better spent at a true fine dining restaurant perhaps . 250 for 3 adults and a child . 2 drinks and 2 beers no dessert
We had to flag down a random server to help us because we spent too much time without even being greeted by a server, as we were served the first meat, we didn't have utensils, we waited for minutes for someone to help us again, we had to call another server to give us utensils. The food was horrible, I was served some sort of beef that was wrapped in bacon, delicious right? THE BACON WAS RAW, THE MEAT WAS RAW, NOT RARE, RAW. The bar drinks took forever, the management was made aware of the issues and nothing was done, over all a HORRIBLE experience.
The food is always consistent here and the service on this particular visit was especially attentive. I really enjoyed my visit and we will continue visiting for special occasions.
The service was good everything was delicious and I love the idea of them bringing you the food to the table.
Excellent food and service. Our server, Luis was so good about making sure we were well taken care of.
Very different then before. It felt like we were not supposed to be there. I like my meat cooked rare and it was extremely difficult to get it served that way. And now they’re charging extra for lamb chops even though they’ve always been included with the dinner price. I will not be going back until this pandemic is over and only if everything returns to normal.
The quality of the meat was really good, the staff was friendly, clean facilities and the side and salad dishes were good as well. However, The drink and salad/side dish service took a while (because of COVID I think) and apparently Ribeye is not in season at the time because they have pork chops instead, so that was a little disappointing.
Worth the money. You just have to ask your waiter for your preferred special meat so they can bring it in.
Excellent service and the food was delicious. Everyone took the proper precautions and felt safe while dining in. Each of our sides and salads were served for us keeping the buffet closed. We never felt like we couldn’t ask for other items. We had a great time and will return again.
Great spacious food is awesome waiter/waitresses are very good as well recommend to eat there.
Thanks you for awesome service ! My husband’s first visit and he loved it . We will be returning soon .
Salad was almost what I ordered, but it was laid out beautifully.
Filet mignon was well done.
Flank steak was tough
Top sirloin was excellent
Sausage was excellent
Wasn’t the best Texas de Brazil meal but not bad.
Will probably be back
Felipe is the best manager ever... always polite, attentive, respectful, and caring.
This was my first meal/dinner at Texas de Brazil, as we went for my 22nd bday (: My boyfriend and I’d bill came out too $105- just the two of us, and I’ve been told that the prices have jumped up a bit. The food was fabulous, a lot of beef choices, not so much chicken. My favorite was (of course) the bacon wrapped chicken, but it only came around twice during our whole meal.. which was not too much of an issue because all the other beef choices (beef fajita, steak, filet mignon, etc.) were coming around. They even had lamb that I was brave enough to try, but will not be having again 😂
The service was nice, not amazing, but nice. Our server seemed to disappear throughout our meal and we often had to call on the other waiters for drinks.. he did start out excellent giving us water as well as our mashed potatoes, fried plantains, silverware, and salads/(other kind of/like a soup)potato’s. Then disappeared. Came back and brought my free dessert for my birthday, then disappeared haha. There was not a lot of people, because of covid, so I’m not sure where he went during that time, but that was probably the only real issue I had. Other than that the food was delicious!!!!! The venue was beautiful, restrooms were clean and all servers were wearing masks. They even held my reservation for about 10 minutes because we got stuck in traffic (again not a huge problem because of covid.) I definitely recommend eating here, for a birthday celebration or business party.
Food was mediocre
Service was terrible
The best part of the meal was the coconut limeade
Went on a fathers day promotion that included free drinks and free desserts for everyone at the table, the staff tried to pull one over by leaving everything on the bill, normally i would chock it up to beginning of the rush and forgetting but we went well into the day when all the staff would be used to billing the tables correctly. Main problem with the food is that the servers didn’t seem to know medium from raw. The restaurant was extremely loud, the ceilings and walls create an echo chamber that makes you feel like you’re in an indoor pool with a bunch of children yelling. In summary, food was good, staff was iffy, and the location is very loud so dont expect to have a nice conversation.
Took forever to get seated although I had a reservation. The food wasn’t as good, the service was bad overall. Took 15 minutes to get a server. Just bad overall. Never going ever again. I rather go to Golden Corral than ever return here.
It was a really nice fathers day
The food was delicious, the waiters were helpful, and everyone maintained a healthy distance and respected each others space during this situation.
Felipi the manager and Orlando our server are the very best! Quality service and attention to detail! My wife and I love this place not just cause of the food but of their service!
Food was great , Service was amazing thank you to all the staff
Meats were smoked up a bit, maybe something wrong with flames or heat.
Somewhat disappointing. Lamb chops must be ordered seperately and that just happened to be one of my favorites. Will not be going back soon.
Great food, wish I had a bigger stomach. The only thing I did not like was the price tag, but well worth it since we were celebrating 2 different special occations.
Very nice dinner with friends.
Tejas de Brazil was an amazing experience. Brought my girlfriend here and she was blown away. Great service and great food.
I was a bit disappointed with my server and how slow the food came out. I had to ask my server if she could have the food brought out because we’d waited about 7-10mins. The server seemed to have an attitude and it took 10-15mins for her to come out and offer us our check. If it weren’t for it being a pandemic and I know it’s rough on waiters, I would’ve NEVER tipped the 20% ($50+) but I figured that maybe she was having a rough day. Either way, I would still expect a decent experience. On a good note, the food was about the same as the Texas de Brazil I go to in Nashville. My carrot cake was pretty good and the ambience was okay. Overall, I would visit again but it would be my last option of restaurants. So, it may be a long while before I return to this location.
Waitress was amazing. Waiting and bussing tables. Great job!
My family and I really enjoy going to eat great food and spending quality time at this Mcallen location. Everything is always great!
