Welcome to the height of fine dining. Welcome to Tex
Great spacious food is awesome waiter/waitresses are very good as well recommend to eat there.
Thanks you for awesome service ! My husband’s first visit and he loved it . We will be returning soon .
Salad was almost what I ordered, but it was laid out beautifully.
Filet mignon was well done.
Flank steak was tough
Top sirloin was excellent
Sausage was excellent
Wasn’t the best Texas de Brazil meal but not bad.
Will probably be back
Felipe is the best manager ever... always polite, attentive, respectful, and caring.
This was my first meal/dinner at Texas de Brazil, as we went for my 22nd bday (: My boyfriend and I’d bill came out too $105- just the two of us, and I’ve been told that the prices have jumped up a bit. The food was fabulous, a lot of beef choices, not so much chicken. My favorite was (of course) the bacon wrapped chicken, but it only came around twice during our whole meal.. which was not too much of an issue because all the other beef choices (beef fajita, steak, filet mignon, etc.) were coming around. They even had lamb that I was brave enough to try, but will not be having again 😂
The service was nice, not amazing, but nice. Our server seemed to disappear throughout our meal and we often had to call on the other waiters for drinks.. he did start out excellent giving us water as well as our mashed potatoes, fried plantains, silverware, and salads/(other kind of/like a soup)potato’s. Then disappeared. Came back and brought my free dessert for my birthday, then disappeared haha. There was not a lot of people, because of covid, so I’m not sure where he went during that time, but that was probably the only real issue I had. Other than that the food was delicious!!!!! The venue was beautiful, restrooms were clean and all servers were wearing masks. They even held my reservation for about 10 minutes because we got stuck in traffic (again not a huge problem because of covid.) I definitely recommend eating here, for a birthday celebration or business party.
Food was mediocre
Service was terrible
The best part of the meal was the coconut limeade
Went on a fathers day promotion that included free drinks and free desserts for everyone at the table, the staff tried to pull one over by leaving everything on the bill, normally i would chock it up to beginning of the rush and forgetting but we went well into the day when all the staff would be used to billing the tables correctly. Main problem with the food is that the servers didn’t seem to know medium from raw. The restaurant was extremely loud, the ceilings and walls create an echo chamber that makes you feel like you’re in an indoor pool with a bunch of children yelling. In summary, food was good, staff was iffy, and the location is very loud so dont expect to have a nice conversation.
Took forever to get seated although I had a reservation. The food wasn’t as good, the service was bad overall. Took 15 minutes to get a server. Just bad overall. Never going ever again. I rather go to Golden Corral than ever return here.
It was a really nice fathers day
The food was delicious, the waiters were helpful, and everyone maintained a healthy distance and respected each others space during this situation.
Felipi the manager and Orlando our server are the very best! Quality service and attention to detail! My wife and I love this place not just cause of the food but of their service!
Food was great , Service was amazing thank you to all the staff
Meats were smoked up a bit, maybe something wrong with flames or heat.
Somewhat disappointing. Lamb chops must be ordered seperately and that just happened to be one of my favorites. Will not be going back soon.
Great food, wish I had a bigger stomach. The only thing I did not like was the price tag, but well worth it since we were celebrating 2 different special occations.
Very nice dinner with friends.
Tejas de Brazil was an amazing experience. Brought my girlfriend here and she was blown away. Great service and great food.
I was a bit disappointed with my server and how slow the food came out. I had to ask my server if she could have the food brought out because we’d waited about 7-10mins. The server seemed to have an attitude and it took 10-15mins for her to come out and offer us our check. If it weren’t for it being a pandemic and I know it’s rough on waiters, I would’ve NEVER tipped the 20% ($50+) but I figured that maybe she was having a rough day. Either way, I would still expect a decent experience. On a good note, the food was about the same as the Texas de Brazil I go to in Nashville. My carrot cake was pretty good and the ambience was okay. Overall, I would visit again but it would be my last option of restaurants. So, it may be a long while before I return to this location.
Waitress was amazing. Waiting and bussing tables. Great job!
My family and I really enjoy going to eat great food and spending quality time at this Mcallen location. Everything is always great!
The service and food was amazing. Would definitely recommend and would go again.
Our waiter mark was an excellent server. He was providing excellent service. However, the people carrying the meats kept passing our table by. When I asked why this was occurring they said they had to go to one table and sanitize their cutlery then come back out. That was clearly a lie because they would go to one table and then the next but never came to our table. For the price we pay we expected excellent service from everyone. We needed to keep telling our waiter to request meats to come our way which is not what this restaurant is all about. The fact that your other server lied to us about needing to sanitize when we saw them rotating other tables except for ours has left me and my spouse with less than happy feelings towards this restaurant. We probably will never probably not return. Just because we don't look like your type of regular customer we paid for 2 dinners and left the waiter an 18% tip, but this will be the end of us going back there.
We went to celebrate my dad’s birthday. It was great food.
$22 EXTRA FOR LAMBCHOPS ON TOP OF A $42 PRICE PER PLATE. NO THANKS. OTHER THAN USING VIP CARD I WILL NOT BE BACK
I honestly was expecting a lot more for the quantity we paid. I’m not sure I would go back
Service was rather slow. We waited at the table for over 10 minutes before anyone came and spoke to us.
Different but still a great experience. We had a great server and the service was top notch. Food was great. Actually like the platters of meat on the table better than previously waiting for it to come around.
The experience and quality of the food was not what we expected. However, it was the first day(s) of opening after the brief shutdown. And we understand that some of the procedures were new/different.
The food quality was not what we were used to.
The various cuts of meat were not provided.
Just a reunion. Table was not ready. Missing cups, napkin, and silverware for one person. Waiter never brought the green/red card for the meat. Had to ask manager for them. Then the dessert had a small speck of mold so we chose another one from the menu. Everything else was great. Service was great, food was great!
Great food and great services and location is convenient
It’s always great food and excellent service
Great food. Only issue is that having to request specific meats can be a bit frustrating. Nice atmosphere, on the pricey side.
Variety of meat choices was scarce. Meat servers were slow or seemed to come by too far apart.
My date and I were seated in a place were we had to ask for those serving meat to come to our table— very very often we were overlooked and needed to speak up to get served.
Tables were too close together on the wall. People next to us felt like they could butt in our conversation making for a very weird/awkward dinner experience. Will not come back if this is not modified.
It was a great evening to share with my wife at one of our favorite restaurants. Great atmosphere & service as always. The management team is always around to make sure all is good at each table too.
A+++++++++++ would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a great treat for a special Occasions but having to ask for different types of meats and requesting for the people to come all the way around to make sure everybody got a variety of meat, it was kinda of a constant thing at times. I was just staring at an empty plate most of the time, I didn’t appreciate that. I’m not sure if it was just overwhelming because I’ve never seen it that busy before. I been there several times and always have a great experience so I would recommend coming back. The food was Great and staff was Courteous.
Went on Valentine's so it was busy but still overall great experience.
