tesori Ratings and Reviews
This was our first trip to Tesori; It will not be our last. The ravioli (with smoked beef brisket) and the warm prosecco poached strawberries are enough reason to come back again and again. Wow! My daughters and I were headed to see Hamilton after dinner and Tesori was just the perfect place to start a special evening.
I had lunch at Tesori and my lunch companion didn't realize until her plate arrived that her lunch choice included something that she could not have in her diet. The server immediately took the plate back and they brought her a new, freshly cooked plate of food without any questions. The manager later came out to make sure her meal was ok. The serve and food were excellent in all respects.
We had a family dinner prior to attending a CSO concert. Our server, Karen(?), was outstanding - personable, professional and efficient. Food was very good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Noise level allowed for lots of conversation at the table. All contributed to a memorable special occasion.
We keep coming back every few months ...just can't stay away too long....it's authentic... with handmade pastas you won't find anywhere else...Fab wines to accompany any item of your choice from the delicious menu.... and OMG...the desserts...their vanilla Panna Cotta is like dining on a cloud. The waitstaff is well-informed... helpful... there to help with providing you with the top table service. Can't ask for anything more!
Very convenient for the symphony. Liked old menu better. Used to have a great tomato soup. Prices have gone up. Beet salad was good but skimpy. Pizza was very good. Trout was good but had very little crab on it as implied on the menu. Very convenient to give the car to the valet for the dinner and concert.
Our presymphony go to place. Really good pizza and pastas, nice selection of beer and wine. Always a couple interesting more upscale entrees topped off by efficient, friendly service. Desserts are also worthy of note my wife pretty much always has the sorbetti. I had cheese cake this time which was tasty.
Chose Tesori for a business lunch, and visiting on a quiet lunchtime, it was perfect. Greeting, service and recommendations were spot on and friendly. It was a chilly day and we were quite cozy even with window seating. My colleague and I both started with soups that were generous and delicious and then salads, also plentiful with lots of fresh ingredients. There appears to be a patio area for the summer months, and the menu is extensive and well thought out. Perfectly accessible to the CSO, Art Institute and Loop/Michigan Avenue attractions. Would definitely repeat. Thank you Tesori!
We had mixed reviews on the food. Some was very good (the cheese plate, the spaghetti and meatballs, the lasagna), but the shrimp risotto dish and pork ravioli were not well received. The smoked pork ravioli was WAY too smoked, almost nauseating. The food is somewhat inconsistent. But we had great service!
Attentive and savvy waiter. Good ambience. Swordfish entree cooked exactly as ordered (medium)--one of the best restaurant plates I've had in a long time! Focaccia not fresh and soft, as if day-old or cut early in the day and left uncovered :( Margarita pizza was more like "Margaret Pizza" (Americanized)--over-sauced, flaccid bottom crust (too thin?), but great tasting marinara. Tiramisù and Panna Cotta w/pine nut brittle were both excellent, as was the cappuccino.
We went to Tesori for my friend's birthday. It was a wonderful experience. We ordered two appetizers and two dishes for all of us to share; short of tapas style. Each dish was delicious, but my favorite was the Salumi appetizer! Our server really made out experience the best! He was kind and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend! Thank you!
We had a group of 14 for dinner after a show at 9p. They were ready for us when we arrived. The food and drinks were awesome. We were not rushed. My favorite thing about Tesori is that there is good space between the tables, so even if the restaurant is full, you don’t feel crowded and the noise level never gets too loud.
