We live near Tesori. It is our go to restaurant for excellent food, good martinis and terrific service. Lots of food options, reasonable portions.

Tesori has excellent service and very good food. For a restaurant just off of Michigan Ave, the prices are not excessive. It is attractively decorated and romantically lit. The menu is not especially imaginative, but everything is well made. The appetizers and salads are especially good. It is a great place for a meal or cocktails before heading to adjacent Symphony Center.

The pre Symphony crowd always makes for a bustling festive environment. Food can vary from being quite good to mediocrely delivered. Our server was great but her kitchen wasn’t giving her the right support on this visit. Nice wines by the glass.

Everything was excellent until the server neglected to tell us that the dessert we ordered had a 20 minute lead time (after we had already told him we needed to leave the restaurant in 15 minutes to make the concert we were attending next). He called over the manager who did nothing except tell us that there was a 20 minute lead time on our dessert. The manager badi

We frequently eat here before or after performances at Symphony Center. Great food, good ambience and friendly staff. You can get into Symphony Center without going outside which is a plus in the Winter or if it is raining.

Decent food and a very attentive manager who steps in to cover service gaps. One of my favorite business lunch locations. I like the open beautiful layout surrounded by windows making it breath of fresh air coming here for business lunches from typical corporate offices. However, breathing in that musky stale carpet upends the experience—time to replace it guys! I like how carpeting dampens noise and makes a place ideal for business lunches, but use cheap carpeting and replace it often :)

tesori {'treasures' in Italian) was a great place to celebrate a birthday party just before attending Chicago's unique Civic Orchestra. All the staff on the front desk and at our table were excellent. The choices on the menu were creatively diverse and the light Italian beer went well with seafood. We were allowed to bring a red velvet birthday cake in with us and share around the table. The portions are exactly like what one experiences in the EU and UK: smaller than in the States but more carefully prepared, with better ingredients, a greater range of different tastes, and more aesthetically displayed (as the 'work of art' good food should be). We will be coming back to bring friends from different parts of the world to tesori. It is one of Chicago's 'treasures.'

The service was outstanding. Two entrees were prepared improperly, but the server offered to have them remade and both were taken off of the final bill. I would definitely give it another try.

I've eaten at Tesori both in the dining room and in the bar many times and always enjoyed it. Last Saturday was a huge exception. First, my sister and I had the green salad. I ordered it without tomatoes and with dressing on the side. The dressing was on the salad, not on the side. My sister ordered it with dressing on the side. She had no dressing. Both of us also ordered the special squid and ink pasta with clams. My sister had a stone almost an inch in diameter in her pasta. Fortunately, she did not bite into it! We both thought that at the price ($28 I think) the clams were barely there. We were not charged for my sister's entree, so that was good. We ended with coffee and a lemon ricotta cheesecake--thought that should have been comped!! Will think twice about tesori in the future.

Tesori has been through a number of reinventions. This one is a winner. The menu, and food execution is fabulous. Used to be a go to convenient spot when going to the Chicago Symphony...the current Tesori is definitely a go to restaurant in the loop anytime. My wife and I were truly impressed.

We enjoyed our food at Tesori - the lamb chops and the grilled octopus were delicious, my daughter's salmon was good as well, but slightly undercooked in the middle.
The service however was terrible. I had to wait more than 10 minutes for the second glass of wine and remind the waiter I ordered it. My lamb shank was cold by the time the wine arrived and it delayed our dinner to make us rush in the end, unnecessarily, to make our show.

A group of us met for dinner prior to going to the theater. I changed the reservation 3 times and they were very accommodating. The food was fresh and well seasoned. My niece and I split an entree and they did have a problem with this. Portions were generous and the ambiance was very nice. I thought the prices were very reasonable as well.

It is great for a place to eat prior to Symphony Concerts because of its location; or dinner after an afternoon concert, e.g. Sunday.

Great service, nice menu, and good food.

Great pasta and pizza here.
Good friendly service and beautiful restaurant overall, unfortunately the restrooms ( from the symphony center ) were filthy ( even without a concert those restrooms are a mess) that is the only reason why I don't give to Tesori the 5 stars .

I want to say that my experience at Tesori was second to none.

We had a long day at the Aquarium and Open Table came to the rescue. We arrived and were pleased with the happy hour menu and lively bar scene.

We ordered the wine flight and samples several of the dishes.

My 6 year old son had a bad headache and was crying. He wanted to leave. I hurried to get him out of the restaurant.

The manager was so kind. He brought my son ice cream. Boxed up his pizza, and tried in every way to help him. Just darling.

He even gave me the most delicious tub of popcorn to take along.

My mother and husband stayed and enjoyed their meal. They also loved the food and my mother who is very particular swore she would recommend Tesori to everyone of her friends and family.

I agree. The bruschetta, pizza, roasted veggies, and lasagna were great.

The service was impeccable and impressive.

We will be back.

We had a great lunch here before seeing Hamilton. It is a short walk to the theatre and the Tesori staff is expert at ensuring that you are on your way on time.

I had a delicious and healthy kale salad; friends had two different salads with chicken. Excellent coffee.

In the past, I've had their pizzas, which also are wonderful. This is a great place.

With a generous charity program attached to a delicious Old Fashioned - a perfect beginning to a very nice pre-theatre lunch. The mushroom soup was good, but a bit thin and not bursting with flavor - a "B". The lamb ragu with house made gnocchi was very, very good. Hit the spot on a chilly day and had great, complex flavors. Paired, at the recommendation of staff, with a nice Italian red blend wine, a nice lunch. The "Executive Lunch" ordered by my dining companion had reasonable servings of soup, salad and a personal pizza - all well prepared and tasty - note, they are served simultaneously on a long rectangular plate. This option is really designed for a diner on a lunch timetable - but a good option.
Overall a well composed, quality lunch with great glass walled brightness to lift one's spiritis on a grey Chicago winter day.

Our meal at tesori was tasty. We started with the beet salad, which was nicely seasoned for a great flavor. Then we ordered lasagna and steak and shared both between us. (I share this to verify that I tasted both.) The lasagna had good flavor and was tender, not chewy like lasagna can sometimes be. The steak was served with mashed potatoes and vegetable, and was very good. For dessert, we tried the affogato and the chocolate/hazelnut semifreddo. Both were delicious; it's hard to pick a favorite.

Our server was excellent. He paid enough attention to us to be sure we had everything we needed and left us alone enough so we could converse and enjoy our dinner.

Tesori is super-convenient pre or post concerts at Symphony Center, but reservations are definitely needed because it fills up.

Tesori is perfect for before/after events at Orchestra Hall, as the restaurant communicates with the lobby through a series if inside passage-ways. Also, we were able to check our coats at the restaurant and pick them up again after the show , a huge help in the winter.

However, the restaurant is extremely crowded with seating impossibly close. The ambiance is uncomfortably HOT (not warm) and noisy. But the food is tasty and all in all, it’s a good Chicago experience.
