The service was outstanding. Two entrees were prepared improperly, but the server offered to have them remade and both were taken off of the final bill. I would definitely give it another try.
I've eaten at Tesori both in the dining room and in the bar many times and always enjoyed it. Last Saturday was a huge exception. First, my sister and I had the green salad. I ordered it without tomatoes and with dressing on the side. The dressing was on the salad, not on the side. My sister ordered it with dressing on the side. She had no dressing. Both of us also ordered the special squid and ink pasta with clams. My sister had a stone almost an inch in diameter in her pasta. Fortunately, she did not bite into it! We both thought that at the price ($28 I think) the clams were barely there. We were not charged for my sister's entree, so that was good. We ended with coffee and a lemon ricotta cheesecake--thought that should have been comped!! Will think twice about tesori in the future.
A great spot to dine before attending the Symphony!
Great service great food. Wait staff very knowledgeableedgeable friendly and not pushy. He did not say awesome
Tesori has been through a number of reinventions. This one is a winner. The menu, and food execution is fabulous. Used to be a go to convenient spot when going to the Chicago Symphony...the current Tesori is definitely a go to restaurant in the loop anytime. My wife and I were truly impressed.
We enjoyed our food at Tesori - the lamb chops and the grilled octopus were delicious, my daughter's salmon was good as well, but slightly undercooked in the middle.
The service however was terrible. I had to wait more than 10 minutes for the second glass of wine and remind the waiter I ordered it. My lamb shank was cold by the time the wine arrived and it delayed our dinner to make us rush in the end, unnecessarily, to make our show.
A group of us met for dinner prior to going to the theater. I changed the reservation 3 times and they were very accommodating. The food was fresh and well seasoned. My niece and I split an entree and they did have a problem with this. Portions were generous and the ambiance was very nice. I thought the prices were very reasonable as well.
The beet salad was fabulously delicious and the bread was fresh and warm.
The wait staff was wonderful and the food was excellent. We went at a not very busy time, but it was warm, cozy, and the food delicious.
