Our six course Chef's menu at Tersiguel's is a combination of authentic French-style cooking and rustic country fare reminiscent of cuisine found in Tersiguel's original home of Brittany, France. Tersiguel's cuisine is reflective of the seasons, with a garden that produces lettuces, herbs, vegetables, fruits and edible flowers. Tersiguel's is quintessential French Country "from the farm to your plate" cooking. Chef Tersiguel describes his food as "French soul food".     We have always loved Tersiguels, but we had not been back since the new format of the fixed chefs menu. We looked on Facebook to see what this weeks menu was, and thought we would try it, even though some of the things listed were not our favorite choices. We ended up being amazed by how things we didn’t even like we’re transformed by the creative Expert touch of the chef. It’s really one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. Charlie is so incredibly welcoming and explain some of the unusual ingredients that we were not familiar with, although we loved them. We added the wine pairing which we felt was a great value and complemented the meal perfectly. The ambience is perfect, quiet piano music, gentle lighting, and enough room between the tables that you weren’t hearing everyone else’s conversation, as happens in some restaurants. We were absolutely delighted, and plan to return soon. Highly recommend.

    We went to Tersiguel’s for a special date night, after hearing that it somewhat recently changed to a chef’s menu format. Each course was very tasty, as were the wine pairings and cocktails. We also thought the price point was a good value, and felt pleasantly full upon leaving. Very glad we chose that as a date night experience!

    Each dish was a surprise as the meal is preset. Each dish was a delight. Lisa was wonderful in detailing what was in every sauce and what was in every bite. Her welcoming persona was most inviting and only added charm to the evening. Tersiguel's is a special place. For our family it always has been and Ellicott City floods nor Covid have changed a thing. I hope this restaurant carries on for a hundred years!

    First visit to celebrate our anniversary. We were greeted and allowed to select the table we preferred. We were early so had most tables empty and Charles the excellent Maitre d was very cordial and friendly. The service was also very good. We had a 6 course chef’s tasting menu every course was outstanding. We appreciated that they offer the option of a corkage fee and brought our own wine. Overall a great meal with excellent service. We are so happy to find another outstanding restaurant in Ellicott City.

    First time here. Service was personal and warm. Really enjoyed the food - every course was appealing and the overall quantity was generous. We selected cocktails to start and a nice bottle of wine with dinner instead of the pairings.

    Finally ate dinner here after years of knowing about it. The food was AMAZING and well worth the price. We enjoyed the 7 course set up and wine pairing. Definitely would recommend for anyone seeking a good night out at dinner.

    The food was amazing. The chef was on point! Throughout the evening, the impeccable service was an absolute highlight. Charlie, and the rest of the staff, was knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive, making sure that every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. Their genuine enthusiasm for French cuisine and the history of the restaurant was infectious, creating an atmosphere that was both welcoming and unforgettable. Highly recommend and will will be back to try all of the incredible food the chef has in store.

    Me and my wife came here for my 45th birthday on July 12, 2023. We had a couple glasses of wine at the bar while awaiting our table which so happened to be the solo table in the bar area which was extremely intimate. My first course was an AMAZING fish soup that my wife initially thought she wouldn’t like but was pleasantly surprised 😋Every course after that flowed effortlessly as I’ve always known my Tersiguel’s experience to be. The veal chops were a little too fatty and although my Salmon dish was cooked perfectly the sauce was bitter and extremely lemony which didn’t allow me to really enjoy it. Overall the whole experience was EXCEPTIONAL other than the food issues that I pointed out and I will continue to dine here as I have for the past 13 years. Enjoy

    This is the place to go, especially for celebrations. It is an adventure. You don't know what Chef Michael will serve as it depends on what is fresh in the market that day. But it is always fantastic. The service is welcoming and very efficient. You can practice your French with some of the staff. At Tersiguel's you always feel the customer comes first. Ginny Thomas

    My wife and I enjoyed a splendid dinner for our 15th anniversary. Charlie, the head waiter, was on top of everything and explained each course as it arrived. We opted for the wine pairing, which at $40, was well worth it. Great and unique dining experience.

    This was our first time to Tersiguel's. Overall the experience is good but overpriced for what it was and I don't think I'll go again. The menu is pris fix, and we added on the wine pairing option at an additional $40 per person. We started with bread and butter and a delicious champagne cocktail. I was surprised that in a French restaurant, the bread did not taste fresh nor was it served warm. The bread tasted like it was made off-site or the previous day. It basically tasted like the French bread you would get at the local grocery store bakery. The first course was a delicious vegetable cream soup. While it was tasty, it was a bit heavy for a first course of a six course meal I would have preferred a broth. The next course was a salad with cured halibut, followed by a soft shell crab on a bed of greens. I had never had soft-shell crab before and probably won't ever have it again. Next was an elk sausage that tasted a bit dry and had more the taste and texture of hamburger meat. The main course was perfectly cooked NY strip steak in a rich mushroom and marrow reduction. Delicious, but two heavy beef-based dishes in a row was a bit much. Finally, the dessert was a napoleon with lemon cream, poached pears, and macerated strawberries. It was delicious, especially the pears, but I didn't taste any lemon and was hoping for something chocolate. The dessert wine that was paired with it was a very sweet red, too sweet for my taste and a sweet white would have been preferable with a lemon and fruit dessert. All of the other wine pairings were good but very mild - you'd be better off just ordering a glass of white for the first half of the meal and red for the second. I'm glad I tried Tersiguel's I've always wanted to go. The service and ambiance were wonderful, but the food was somewhat below what I had expected especially for the price.

    The tasting menu was absolutely amazing, there was a wide variety of traditional and modernized French plates. We sat in the greenhouse room surrounded by flowering plants and soft classical music in the background while Charlie, the head waiter, walked us through the six courses explaining the inspiration behind each dish. This is one of the best French restaurants I have been to and every aspect of the visit was impeccable. I highly recommend everyone to come, my wife and I will be visiting again soon!
