The Tersiguel family have been serving their unique version of French food for over 40 years. The menu at Tersiguel's is a combination of authentic French-style cooking and rustic country fare reminiscent of cuisine found in Tersiguel's original home of Brittany, France. Tersiguel's cuisine is reflective of the seasons, with a garden that produces lettuces, herbs, vegetables, fruits and edible flowers. When the Garden is not producing Chef Michel Tersiguel will personally go and hand pick all fruit and vegetables at the whole sale market in Jessup, Maryland. Tersiguel's is quintessential French Country "from the farm to your plate" cooking. Chef Tersiguel describes his food as "French soul food". The Tersiguel family has operated one of the regions best restaurants for over 40 years and continues this tradition with annual ratings of "Best French Restaurant" from the Zagat and Baltimore Magazine.

We had a lovely birthday brunch here. Our server was very knowledgeable, happy and pleasant. we never went without coffee or beverages. Everything was served in a timely manner between courses. very nice brunch!

Classic French restaurant. Small, quaint dining room in a historic home-style setting in old Ellicott City. They had a nice bottle on special for $57 which we enjoyed. The server had a great personality, was attentive and knowledgeable. White table cloth, tuxedo’s, and candles. An assistant was right on top of the bread and water. 2 apps, 5 entrees, and 4 desserts were all enjoyed. Everything was what you’d expect menu-wise - rich and delicious! Mushroom pasta appetizer was the best dish, and a goat cheese cheesecake was excellent. The duck confit was a little less crispy than I’d prefer (which is totally subjective.) Nothing of this class outside of DC or Baltimore City - worth a visit.

We met some very dear friends at Tersiguel’s . We had a lot to talk about, and the staff let us talk. Very unobtrusive. The food was wonderful. A lovely, lovely evening.

I have been to Tersiguel's many times over the years. I always enjoy my dinner immensely. This past time, after the new year, I was reminded of what makes the restaurant and my evening there so different from other places. As he served our appetizers, Charlie said to us, "Now take your time. Don't rush. Just enjoy yourselves." So many restaurants are noisy or "busy", and I find myself anxious to finish. What a pleasure to just relax! What a great way to start 2020!

My wife and I dined at Tersiguel's on NYE 2019. The restaurant had a 5-course prix fixe menu for the evening (as many restaurants do on NYE) that was reasonably priced. I'll admit that this was my first time to Tersiguel's despite living in the area for over two decades. I can't think of a reason why we never went before, but after tonight's experience, we will be back. The day scallops with lobster cream sauce out of this world...enough to make me want to come back and get that as an entree. I normally do not order steak when dining out just because I feel I can do just as well with a quality cut of meat at home, but the filet was cooked to perfection and delicious. The service was attentive and the atmosphere was elegant. We're glad to have this gem in our local town.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant in Old Ellicott City...wonderful romantic ambiance as well as an artistic food presentation and great taste. I would recommend this restaurant, but be prepared to spend $$$$$.

We love this restaurant and had another exceptional birthday celebration there recently. Chef Tersiguel is an amazing chef and we were lucky to have Charlie as our waiter this time. Looking forward to our next excuse to have dinner there again soon!

The place was charming, the ambiance was superb and our waiter was awesome and very attentive. Their customer service is on point. I guess I expected so much after reading other reviews that I was somewhat disappointed when it came down to the food. I had the Filet Mignon and my husband had the duck, all I can say is I’ve had better french food elsewhere. For the price, I feel like it could have been better.

I ordered the veal chop. I guess it was veal but it certainly didn't taste or look like veal. The side was some watery, cheesy lumpy, thing. I can't recall what it was supposed to be but it was awful. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their meal, however so that's the reason for my positive but, lukewarm review.

Went here for the Thanksgiving prix fixe dinner. The meal started with an Alsace potato soup that both my son and I enjoyed. The second course was small servings of 5 different marinated salads; one or two were good, the rest weren't anything special. I had the beef Beaujolais entree. The beef was a little on the fatty side for me but the accompaniments (sauteed shiitake mushrooms, asparagus & buttered potatoes) were delicious. My son had the poached salmon which came with broccolini, oyster mushrooms & a creamy cabbage gratin which he enjoyed. The pumpkin and chocolate mousses that they served for dessert were light and airy and the perfect ending to a large meal. The upstairs dining room where we were seated was nice and cozy without being overly cramped our crowded. Our waiter was OK (he didn't offer us drinks, I had to ask) but the other staff serving the bread and pouring water were very attentive. For $60/person, I really can't complain...

Though my mother had been to Tersiguel many times, it was my first meal there. Though the staff was attentive during the meal, the food was a huge disappointment. The food was awful. She was more diplomatic about it. When we were asked how the meal was, my mother expressed her dissatisfaction. Various other staff then came to the table as though they were interested and/or concerned, but no remedy was offered. And once our dissatisfaction became known, our waiter stopped coming to out table. One staff member offered us an excuse saying that it was a very "hectic"" day - as though we should forgive the restaurant for the sub-par food. The last staff member to arrive at our table offered me his "business card" and suggested I "email" him so 'we could resolve this'. I didn't take his card. The time to resolve a situation like this is then and there - not at some later date. Some of our meal should have been comped. That is what a professional restaurant would have done. Instead, the staff didn't seem to either take our dissatisfaction seriously or simply didn't know how to deal with it appropriately. I have never had such a dismal experience in a restaurant. The meal was cafeteria quality and the service, though going through the motions of being attentive, was awful. As a result, we will never return.

The food was good. Went in thinking it would be 60 a person as it stated on the menu, however they overcharge on any additions. 8 dollars for a bottle of water for the table, 5 for a small cup of coffee, etc. Room was a bit chilly and crowded. Ended up spending close to 200 with tip. Probably won't be returning.

A Rare Find! The menu, the food, the wine list....this place has it all! Oh, and a white tablecloth as well. As someone who is both French, and a cook I claim to know something about French cooking. This place rivals and/or is better than any French restaurant I have ever eaten at in North America. The waiter was pleasant and helpful with making choices, the food was fun, delicious, memorable. We will be back!

Had a wonderful brunch at Tersiguel’s early on Sunday to celebrate my wife’s birthday. This was our first time dining there. We arrived and were given a choice of table, as the restaurant was not yet busy. The building is historic and each room had its own vibe, we elected to sit in the front room with a view of the Main Street. The food and drinks were all excellent. We enjoyed an appetizer of escargot, mains of duck and salmon, and ended with desert of cheesecake. The service staff were very welcoming and attentive - we couldn’t have asked for a better waiter in Logan. We were very impressed overall and will definitely be back again.

Exquisite experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable and efficient. Lovely venue in an old, historic house. And the food..... just superb. Some of the finest French dishes we have ever had. This is our new favorite restaurant in the Greater Baltimore area!

We have been dinning here for over 20 years as always everything was great. It is good to see that they are helping the environment by using paper instead of plastic straws. My wife commented on how nice the restaurant looked when we walked up. They take care in changing the flowers seasonally . Chef cooks with passion and we love it. Thank you Bruce & Michele
