Once again, a perfect meal. Menu choices were interesting and beautifully executed. The ideal blend of classic French cuisine in a casually elegant setting. Worth the drive from NYC.
Has an excellent dinner at Tersiguel's on a Tuesday night. The waiter immediately greeted us and offered to take our coats then proceeded to show us different seating options. The staff was professional and eager to help throughout the night. The food was excellent and served in good portion sizing. The combination of lighting, classical music, and overall decor makes for an intimate dining experience. I would highly recommend Tersiguel's for a date night or special occasion.
Quaint restaurant in Ellicott City. The food was delicious - the foie gras melted in your mouth, the escargot flavorful, the wrapped rock fish - unique texture - superb with mushroom sauce (so flavorful!) and risotto with corn and asparagus. The desserts were a great way to wrap up the dinner - a rich, decadent flourless chocolate cake and traditional creme brulee - once critique is to add more fresh fruit to the creme brulee. The waiter was attentive and his descriptions vivid and recommendations point on. We will definitely be returning in the future!
Service could be better for this type of restaurant, but still very good.
Tersiguel's French Restaurant is always wonderful. Food was great and wait staff are always attentive.
Anniversary and New Years Eve
What an awesome experience!! This is one of my favorite places to Dine!
Our New Years Eve dinner was fantastic!
Awesome food served up by Chef Michel - always scrumptious!
Charming ambience, good service and food.
We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Tersiguel's. The food, service, wine and ambiance continue to be fantastic. The only thing that would have made it perfect would have been fellow diners who didn't feel the need to practically shout at each other across a table for 8. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Without question, this is the best restaurant among many great ones we've experienced in the Washington / Baltimore region.
My wife and I celebrated our thirteenth Anniversary here. Wonderful experience all around. Excellent service equaled by excellent food.
French County restaurant. First time there. Prix Fixe menu on Christmas Eve (which is our anniversary). Excellent food overall although the risotto wasn't that great. My wife is vegetarian and they even had a veggie/vegan course available to accommodate. Excellent decor. Downtown Ellicott City has been devastated twice by floods including this place and you'd never know it. Staff is very good and attentive. For fine dining and/or special occasions I would highly recommend.
Fabulous food, charming ambiance, impeccable service. Tersiguel’s never disappoints.
Lovely ambiance, lovely service, wonderful food, wonderful lunch.
Great service. Food was not great, except for dessert.
Never disappoints. Always our go to for special occasions or just to celebrate being together. Ambiance is perfect and service unparalleled. Food was amazing - from starters to dessert everything was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Love this place.
Tersiguel's is a lovely restaurant with excellent food and service. We enjoyed our recent evening there and plan on returning for our next special occasion.
We hadn’t been back since they reopened, and realized how much we had been missing. Easily, the best restaurant in Howard County. Service from Charlie is always a joy, he never steers you wrong. All of our choices were delicious and inventive. Just being there was a combination of festive and comforting.
We had an excellent holiday meal with friends. The food was fresh and tasty and the wine was outstanding. The lobster dish was amazing. I had Rockfish which unfortunately, was a little fishy and dry, but everything else we ate was top notch. We loved our waiter, Charlie. He was very informative and did an excellent job helping us select meal choices. He certainly helped to create a fun experience that night.
Tersiguels has been around for a very long time, but they are still keeping up their standards. Food quality is high. It is expensive, and the menu is greatly reduced from the past, but the quality is still there.
My family, which has been going here for Christmas brunch for at least 20 years, thinks this is the best French restaurant in the area. It is inspired by the Chesapeake Bay, which makes it only more special. We loved the oysters on the half shell but missed the tuna tartare from last year (the carrot topping was okay by me, but not by my sister and daughter.) We had: the Gravlaz, the Rillettes, Foie Gras Saute, Ris de Veau, Omelette de Crabe, Saumon Hash (special), Homard ( my sister thought it was chewy)....really everything was a winner. You cannot go wrong at this place! Tersiguel's son, Michel, has done a marvelous job of upgrading the menu to more modern tastes. And the service could not be more professional and friendly.
Greeted at the door, coats taken care of, perfect setting. Great staff from beginning to end.
Food was outstanding. The space is a little odd, but hey it's an old building, so you kind of expect that. The service was very good. Our server knew the menu like the back of her hand and was super helpful with making selections. Did I mention the food was amazing? If you're looking for classic French cuisine, prepared perfectly this is your spot. Their wine list has been destroyed by several floods over the past couple of years, so they are not the wine lovers haven they once were, but they are working hard to improve the list, but still offer a respectable selection of wines. I would recommend asking not to be seated in the front room on a cold night. We were, and it was super cold when we went. Not really their fault, but when people would come in the front door it made for a bit of a draft. All in all we will absolutely go back and would recommend to anyone.
Ours was a holiday gathering of 18 friends and Tersiguels was the perfect spot. We had our own room and even as our head count fluctuated, the staff was responsive and flexible. The food was fantastic and our own private dining room was festive and cozy. Genuine French country with a wonderful wine list and outstanding desserts. This is an Ellicott City gem. It is great for dates, gatherings with friends and we also have brought our young son here in the past.
The food is fantastic and the ambiance. Charlie waited on us, and of course, we got the best service !
Awesome classic French restaurant
Wonderful country French food in a refined setting. Our waiter, Charley, was a joy and very sweet. The food was impeccable. The monkfish in brick pastry was perfectly cooked and the cherry reduction with foie gras was the best thing on the table.
Each course was delicious. Our server was great. And the service was very attentive. Was the perfect place to celebrate our engagement! We will be back.
Great food and great service. Great spot for a date that loves French food. I had Icelandic lamb loin and my guest had the Quebec veal chop. We tried the chilled foie gras and it was excellent. Servers were attentive and friendly.
Tersiguel's imaginative menu is matched by perfectly executed food. It is great that Howard County has such a gem.
charming french restaurant in the heart of historic ellicott city...... everything was prepared perfectly and the house sparkling is very good
We've been to Tersiguel's a few times and have always been pleased. This Thanksgiving menu was not up to their typical standards - the potato leek soup was very "starchy" without much flavor, the turkey dark meat was tough and overcooked, however this problem was immediately remediated as our waiter brought us a side dish of delicious dark meat. The ambience was lovely, the wait staff impeccable - we enjoyed our champagne cocktails as well as the wine. The mousse desserts were delicious. Overall a good time despite the minor disappointments.
Superior restaurant for Thanksgiving with choices in addition to turkey. Food was special and flavors complimentary. Service was outstanding for a busy day.
We came for Thanksgiving dinner and sat upstairs for the first time. The staff was very friendly and attentive and the place seemed to be full, buzzing with happy customers. We love this place and want it to succeed after the multiple weather challenges. The menu choices were rich and varied: traditional turkey & ham, beef beaujolais, salmon and a vegetarian dish, the soup, salad plate, and dessert selections were imaginative and fabulous! Well done!
Thanksgiving dinner at Tersiguel’s is always a treat! Great combo of great food, service & ambiance make it a great dining experience. Decent, not great value at $59.95 per person for the prix fixe meal.
Enjoyed T-day there, great visit for the holiday. Had the 4- course beef dish & my wife had the traditional tirkey...
We had our Thanksgiving dinner at Tersiguels. The restaurant is broken up into small, charming rooms with white tablecloths and outstanding service. Unfortunately, the food arrived barely lukewarm, which I expect was due to them trying to manage a full house. Our meal was at 2pm. Disappointing for the price.
Loved the restaurant - it has a welcoming, friendly french country style. The staff were a joy. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving meal.
