   This restaurant does not belong on Open Table! Not the experience expected by an Open Table user!: I booked for 11am. Confirmed 24hrs prior on Open Table as per the email sent from Open Table. The restaurant is and always has been physically closed at 11am! By this time I was unable to book when they were open. They do not take bookings for earlier times when they were open for breakfast! Please remove this restaurant from Open Table!

   For the most part, I had a wonderful brunch experience. The offerings were wide and the staff were courteous. I enjoyed the ambience. I do think the user experience ca be improved by perhaps persons being more mindful. My table was close to a group that had a child, and the child's device was on high volume and quite distracting. I do think that the parents could have utilized a headphone for the child. It was perhaps the only part of the experience that proved irritating to me.

   Out of a large group, most persons complained that the food was tasteless. Some persons were waiting a long time before being engaged by service personnel for service or water and other beverages. Once ordered, delivery time for same was slow.

   The soup was excellent. The rice, fish and salad was good. The beef and barbecue pork was hard. The custard was too hard. Other desserts was good.

   Service was impeccable! Food, however, passable. I was expecting a much better dining experience for the Marriot. I ordered a medium sirloin, mashed potatoes and sauteed vegetables as my main. The potatoes and vegetables were ok, the steak however - was barely pink on the inside, and tough!!! A sirloin is supposed to be tender and juicy - this was solid, DRY, and so dense it was not enjoyable at all. A 2/5 at best.

   I made a reservation and received a confirmation email with my table number. I showed up at Terra Mare only to hear that online booking system is automatic and they don’t use it. I was told I had to call to make a reservation so basically my fiancé and I were left without a table, on her birthday! The entire restaurant was “booked out” and the staff at the front table told me they have space at the bar 😒. If the system is not functioning then remove it. Overall experience was terrible since it was a Saturday night and all the decent restaurants around Georgetown were booked out.

   I've been a patron of this restaurant for years and I always commend the chefs and management for the lovely experience they display, however, my last experience was quite unpleasant, the waitress was rude and loud (as other diners were looking on) when I tried to query an order. I ended my lunch early and left feeling embarrassed and disappointed in the service. In my years of patronizing this establishment, I have never experienced this and I hope this isn't a turning point in customer service for this establishment. .

    The food was not bad but they had limited options. I would like to have seen a wider selection and more Carribean/ Guyanese based options.
