Terroni - LA
Our menu is filled with regional Italian dishes that have been prepared the same way for generations. So out of respect for Italian gastronomy—and our grandparents—we don’t modify our dishes. Enjoy!

Honestly, food was meh. The lack of modifications is just plain stupid in this day and age. How does an Italian restaurant not have balsamic?
Food was bland and without a lot of flavor. I had to cut my own pizza with a knife which is just plane dumb. At least give the people a pizza cutter. REALLY?!
Amazing food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and great atmosphere. If you like Italian food you can't pass it up!
Great food and atmosphere. Perfect location for a business or romantic dinner.
Terroni is always delicious. Great wine list. The service was quick and pleasant. And we were very late to our reservation and they were polite and accommodating about it. Love this place.
What a surprising great place.
I really enjoy this place! Love the atmosphere and vibe. The home made pastas are cooked to a perfect al dente. They have a few organic wines one the menu that are light and tasty. Will come back to try out Happy Hour!
Sadly I believe last night was an "off night" for Terroni. My boyfriend and I dine there at least once a week and last night the service was AWFUL! My friend and I sat at the bar ( even though we had reservations) and we literally had to flag a server or bartender down for every single thing...a menu, water, place settings, drinks. The customer service was just not there. The awareness of the staff was not there. Our salad came out on time but it was another 30 mins before our entrees appeared ( so unlike Terroni to be delayed)and the presentation was sloppy. Such a disappointing evening for a usual outstanding restaurant. I hope the entire management team and staff recover from last nights disaster ...I'm sure it was a rough one for all involved.
Great Happy Hour! We also ate dinner, and the food/pastas were all excellent! Great sommelier and fabulous server! We were headed to an event and on a time constraint, they got us in and out right on time!!
I’ve been to this location several times. It’s a nice location. If you plan on talking with the folks at your table you might want to pick a different restaurant or try the one in Beverly. The food was delicious. Pizza was not exceptional. Looks good but we’ve had better.
Loved it. Great Italian food and cool decor — in an old bank!
We will not be returning to Terroni LA. It is quite ridiculous that the restaurant does not allow for any modifications. It is an unnecessary rule.
The only problem was that OPenTable indicated at the time of reservation that a special could be selected for, among other things, $6 draft beer, and I selected that. However, when I got to the restaurant, I attempted to confirm this price and I was told that it was only available at the bar. There was no such special for the table reservation I made, so that was misleading.
The food here is great, some other aspects, Mensa menz ! The pizza you have to cut yourself. They won’t do it for you...in fact they refuse and tell you it is part of the experience. Guess frustration is a feeling we should get when we pay for food? Maybe provide a pizza cutter, not a knife.
The pasta was great. Can’t complain about anything we ate.
Had to ask 3 times for bread, and after she forgot the second time, she’s like, “you didn’t want it anyway right?” And I was like, “umm yes I still do, it should’ve come out with the food or before.”
The guy who helped select our wine was great w his choices and knowledge.
I would come back, but I’m now more aware of the style of how they do things here now and know what to expect.
I love the food here!
Incredible food. Perfectly cooked pastas the sauces were well seasoned
Our waiter was phenomenal and made the evening run so smoothly with our fairly large group.
Horrible experience. We purchased zucchini but they refused to give us marinara to dip it in after we got our dish. They don’t care about the customer. I would never eat here again.
Great food and ambiance, good service. Overall great spot.
Good pasta, the deep fried eggplant was tasty, and the tagliatelle was generous. They have happy hour but was told I'd have to sit at or near the bar. Ok. Overall not bad for dinner. Had 3 bowls of pasta and two highballs for under a $100
Branzino was very good... pasta...??? a little bit too al dente.
Great bar to handout and socialize... nice crowd for a Monday night... we had fun!
Would come back
The fresh house made pappardelle and pizza were the highlight of the meal. Tastes just like Italy!
Rude, dismissive waiter. Pretty good food.
one appetizer was grilled calamari was a little tough. The pasta dish with porcini mushrooms was not as tasty as should be. Could use a better butter and a little salt.
I have never had a bad dish at Terroni! This was the first time at the DTLA spot. Food, just as amazing as Beverly. The service, however, was significantly better! Every interaction with staff members was pleasant and helpful! We like the Beverly location but, should they be booked like they were Friday night, we will happily head back!
Our favorite restaurant！
Great servers, amazing pasta and drinks. Perfect neighborhood spot we love to frequent.
I had been to the Terroni in West Hollywood years ago so I was excited to see that there was a Terroni LA in downtown, especially since I had tickets for a 7pm show at the Theater at Ace Hotel on a Saturday evening. I was able to get a reservation for 6 at 5:15p.
I had the lamb ragu pasta (Capunti al Ragu d'Agnello) as did another member of the party. My husband had 3(!) appetizers: the beef carpaccio, the squash blossoms and the Verde salad. It was all quite good. Not mind-blowing a la "Bestia" or "Rossoblu" but definitely execllent italian food, at a reasonable price.
In fact, since we were in a hurry we didn't get dessert but after the show we came back to Terroni and were able to get a table for 5 and I had the warm chocolate dessert and others had the two scoops of gelato and lemon tart. It was busy but not crowded, so I would definitely eat there again if I had some event or reason to be downtown, like a visiting relative or work conference.
Great food and great service! Beautiful interior.
The food was excellent. We had the seabass and the pork chop for our main courses.
Not up to the 4 1/2 stars on open table!!! A lot of fuss over grandmas recipes... and I guess her cooking wasn’t all that good! One of us had the Sea Bass and it was delicious... but the pasta dishes and starters were a non event!!!
The spaghetti Limone was a little devoid of flavor and the Prosecco flat but all in all a pleasant experience
This restaurant is amazing! It is the freshest best pasta I’ve had since visiting Italy 🇮🇹 itself! So so so good!
Loved the foood!
Had melon and prosciutto ham appetizer
Rice balls stuffed with cheese and meet appetizer
White pizza with 2 cheese, prosciutto , walnuts and honey
Best Italian food I have had in years!!!!!
Great food, excellent server. Noisy but vibrant. This food is the what you would get in Italy. The real deal!!
Arrogant menu. Don't ask for any changes or extras (like sauce for the Calamari, or pepper, or salt)....your taste doesn't matter here only what the chef intended is of any importance.
The food is always excellent, however, it was extremely disappointing that the kitchen was unwilling to accommodate a food allergy. We had a pork allergy at the top and the server told us the kitchen wouldn’t be willing to remove the salami from the pizza our table wanted. I understand wanting to be authentic to the original recipe, however, that is completely ridiculous when there is a food allergy, simply remove the meat and be done with it. Our table was filled with restaurant owners and none of us could understand or justify the response we received. If someone walked into our establishments with an allergy we will accommodate them even though we have allergy friendly items that wouldn’t require adjusting the recipe, if the customer wants a specific item we will do that for them. That portion of the meal was very disappointing and off putting.
food is excellent -- loud venue but fun. great place when seeing a show in DTLA.
This was a horrible experience. The lack of attention towards our table was very frustrating. Simple things like plates, silverware we had to ask for. I mean why are they even in business? No food in the world even if it’s the last meal would ever make me eat at this restaurant again.
Everything we ate was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The building detail inside the restaurant is so beautiful and the evening lighting was perfect.
