Terroni - Beverly Ratings and Reviews
Resturant is well located and smaller than anticipated. Service was wonderful, and food was incredibly delicious. I tired the limon spaghetti, mouth-watering delicious. Son had the black ink pasta with crab and can’t stop raving how delicious it was. All in all I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
I love coming here! I've done happy hour menu a few times (*negronis, spritzers; oyster mushrooms, caprese skewers... even their bread and olive oil is simply delicious) and did brunch the other day for the first time. Brunch was delicious- I can't wait to go back. Service was also great... such friendly and helpful waitstaff.
Very friendly and down to earth, while serving excellent authentic Italian dishes. They have a huge menu, so although they don't take substitutions, there is a great variety to choose from.
I took my parents here, because they love good food but don't like to dress up, and they were very happy, except that it was very loud in there. We couldn't have much conversation because of that.
I love the food at Terroni, very authentic Italian... and I especially love it because it is close - walking distance to my home. But it is one of the noisiest restaurants I have EVER been to! It is almost unbearable! I could barely hear my dinner partner's conversation. It is not a comfortable place - too many tables, seating is WAY TOO CLOSE together to neighboring tables... Combined with the noise level, just a really uncomfortable place to dine overall.
The sommelier was great. He suggested a nice, middle of the road primativo. I arrived a few minutes after my friends so I wasn’t quite ready to order my main course yet. Instead we ordered an appetizer of fried calamari while we looked over the menu. After the appetizer was dropped, we wanted to ask for some dipping sauce. It was really bland, but the server didn’t come back for another 20 minutes, so it was pointless. After the main courses arrived, we had to flag down the server to ask for fresh parmasan. After the plates had been cleared, I kept waiting for them to drop off desert menus, but they never did. Someone in my party had ordered a birthday desert for my friend, but it still would have been smart of the server to drop a desert menu instead of assuming we wouldn’t order more. In fact, I would have liked another glass of wine, but nobody asked and by the time someone came to drop the check, I was over it. There were several missed opportunities for the server to increase our check.
There are so many good restaurants in Los Angeles, that I wouldn’t waste my time and money going back to Terroni for mediocre food and service. (Except for the sommelier)
Pasta Frutti di Mare and Salad with Arugula and Pine Nuts with Cheese were delicious. Ample portions and very fresh, flavorful dishes. Lemon sorbet was light and refreshing, not too sweet or tart. Service was very attentive. I had read a bad review and am glad I ignored it on all accounts. My guest and I thoroughly enjoyed our dishes and the server was on top of things.
Perfectly salted food, unfortunately salty service. From our hostess to our waitress, we felt the cold shoulder all night, water off our backs as we were celebrating an engagement, but unnecessarily cold and rude. The food however was incredible, maybe take out is the way to go.
Like so many currently "hip" places, this restaurant provides little value, is a bit overpriced, and the food is not that great. Perhaps these attributes dont matter to most, but I'd rather find another place to dine.
As to the facts, the outdoor seating is VERY limited and generally uncomfortable, and the noise level inside is well beyond "energetic". Our pizza was just ok and is sent out without being sliced, for some reason. (Can I pay to have it sliced in the kitchen?) And the seafood in my seafood pasta was woefully poor.
I've eaten here three times and am looking forward to going back to try new menu items! This time we started with Arancini di Modica, which was bland and a bit pricey for what you get. The capunti pasta with lamb Ragu and the Hi I am Sam - Bianca Pizza were delicious. Love the atmosphere and had great service.
