Terroni - Beverly Ratings and Reviews
Over all a decent experience. We had a reservation for 8 people and the table was very cramped after we had water and a couple of appetizers. We had an attentive waitress but it seemed like our food was mis-timed. Some pasta dishes were piping hot and others were lukewarm. Would be a 5 star if we had a smaller party. Food tasted good, lovely ambiance, and well priced. Would go back with a smaller party.
I've been to Terroni a bunch. I mostly enjoy sitting at the bar and ordering a meat and cheese plate, something they do well. They also have a great wine list. This time however, everything we ordered was lackluster. The salads were boring and tasted like something thrown together at home. The shellfish pasta had zero flavor. What a disappointment on Valentine's eve...
Terroni on Beverly never disappoints. Best pasta & pizza in the neighborhood!! Casual with a cute vibe. Great wine selection too. Been going here for years- reliable food and service! If you're into it- a place to spot celebrities having a casual bite to eat.
Server was in a terrible rush to finish up her shift since we were a group of 6 service was included at 18% and unfortunately we all work in a high end resto as servers , chefs and sommelier .
Food came before drinks-
Then we had to wave down the hostess to call our server to order wine
I would not recommend this resto
The bus boys however worked hard and once the bill was paid we were asked if we wanted coffee ?
I don't get it. I read the reviews and thought I must be in the wrong restaurant. First, the noise level is SO LOUD that you could not hear the conversation. No, I mean really loud. There were three of us for my wife's birthday. The grilled calamari was very good, and my beet salad was very good....I got the tomahawk pork chop and 1/4 of the meat was fat, and I got a very small
a side of chimichurri that came with the meal, but not nearly enough for the pork chop. My wife's pasta was just OK, and our other guest did not like his either. The waiter suggested my wife taste the Cabernet to see if she would like it and then she had to find him and remind him after the appetizer was delivered. Before you know it the waiter brought our check, and I'm thinking, "do they not have dessert?" I'll never know because he dropped the check and disappeared so we paid and left. Went to a Creamery down the street. Again, the noise was so annoying it ruined the evening. I might have forgiven the noise had the food been outstanding, but that was not the case. All and all I could not recommend this restaurant.
We had reservations and only waited for a few minutes for the table. Service was fast but not rushed. Had a BYOB of champagne for a surprise and they opened it for us no problem ($25 corkage). We ate family style and tried several apps and 4 entrees. Had a great red suggested by the sommelier which was great. Then had 3 desserts. Food was hot fresh and super yummy. Would go back. Four people... bill was $325. Good valu I think.
We are in LA a couple x's a year on buying trips. Our server was Bobby, wonderful guy. We started with melanzane involtini (like last x) delicious. Fiance had a glass of Uva Rara. Lasagna alla Bolognese almost as good as my fiancé's home-made Bolognese (ragu')! Fiance tucked into a large plate of calamari griglia - he enjoyed it. Then off to Sweet Rose Creamery for their luscious kosher vanilla ice cream and hot fudge. We luv LA.
I also left my CC here and did NOT notice until the next afternoon @ Valerie Echo Park. Dee Snider sighting!! Terroni had it and I picked it up later that day! Thank you Terroni wonderful experience.
Resturant is well located and smaller than anticipated. Service was wonderful, and food was incredibly delicious. I tired the limon spaghetti, mouth-watering delicious. Son had the black ink pasta with crab and can’t stop raving how delicious it was. All in all I highly recommend this neighborhood gem!
I love coming here! I've done happy hour menu a few times (*negronis, spritzers; oyster mushrooms, caprese skewers... even their bread and olive oil is simply delicious) and did brunch the other day for the first time. Brunch was delicious- I can't wait to go back. Service was also great... such friendly and helpful waitstaff.
Very friendly and down to earth, while serving excellent authentic Italian dishes. They have a huge menu, so although they don't take substitutions, there is a great variety to choose from.
I took my parents here, because they love good food but don't like to dress up, and they were very happy, except that it was very loud in there. We couldn't have much conversation because of that.
I love the food at Terroni, very authentic Italian... and I especially love it because it is close - walking distance to my home. But it is one of the noisiest restaurants I have EVER been to! It is almost unbearable! I could barely hear my dinner partner's conversation. It is not a comfortable place - too many tables, seating is WAY TOO CLOSE together to neighboring tables... Combined with the noise level, just a really uncomfortable place to dine overall.
The sommelier was great. He suggested a nice, middle of the road primativo. I arrived a few minutes after my friends so I wasn’t quite ready to order my main course yet. Instead we ordered an appetizer of fried calamari while we looked over the menu. After the appetizer was dropped, we wanted to ask for some dipping sauce. It was really bland, but the server didn’t come back for another 20 minutes, so it was pointless. After the main courses arrived, we had to flag down the server to ask for fresh parmasan. After the plates had been cleared, I kept waiting for them to drop off desert menus, but they never did. Someone in my party had ordered a birthday desert for my friend, but it still would have been smart of the server to drop a desert menu instead of assuming we wouldn’t order more. In fact, I would have liked another glass of wine, but nobody asked and by the time someone came to drop the check, I was over it. There were several missed opportunities for the server to increase our check.
There are so many good restaurants in Los Angeles, that I wouldn’t waste my time and money going back to Terroni for mediocre food and service. (Except for the sommelier)
