The Territory offered three prix fixe menu choices and we both went for the surf and turf (steak and lobster) with brussel sprout appetizer and pumpkin cheesecake dessert. Everything was fantastic. Meat tender, perfectly done (medium rare) and flavorful; lobster sweet and delicious; brussel sprouts with bacon and cheese were fantastic; cheesecake topped it off perfectly. Have not had a better meal at twice the price.
Great service and great food!
We’ve been here before and our must-have is the Brussel Sprout Appetizer. Three of us shared it and still had some to take home. Our food was very good except the tomato soup was EXTREMELY spicy, like the chef had dumped way too much red pepper in it! The waiter apologized and said it’s not usually like that. He brought us salads instead per our request. Overall, a very nice evening! Their new outside enclosed patio is very nice and we look forward to dining in it during the day with the beautiful river view.
Very cute town. Territory is a great restaurant in a great hotel. We’ll definitely go back again.
The food we eventually ordered was tasty. However, I say eventually because each time we asked for something, the waiter would go back to the kitchen only to find out they were out. It was disappointing to find out so many ingredients had run out. As well, when we asked the waiter questions about the menu, sadly, he did not seem very knowledgeable in terms of ingredients and preparation. Overall a good meal however, and definitely a good price point!
Cranberry sauce was too sour, inedible. I’d bet they forgot to add the sugar. The green beans were raw. The sweet potatoes were raw. The mashed potatoes were over whipped and gluey. They should have offered a variety of bread/roll choices. EVERYTHING else was wonderful!!!!! Looking forward to next year. Thank you so much.
Food was excellent. We were seated too close to heater; we asked to move to the next table and we moved.
Skeleton crew for Thanksgiving Buffet; we asked for butter because there was no butter on the buffet table to go with the excellent rolls. Head waiter brought us individually wrapped butter, and then went table to table to distribute butter to other diners.
To be fair, we arrived at least ten minutes before the buffet was scheduled to begin. We were seated right away, as were several others.
We had a berry cobbler for dessert that was yummy! There were several other dessert choices.
Everything we tried on the buffet was very, very good and my companion went back for seconds.
Thanksgiving dinner was good, lovely green salad w/ cukes & tomatoes and a great dressing. Green bean casserole unexceptional, should be banned. Brussel sprouts were the star! Tender and flavorful. Ham better than turkey which was on the dry side. Mashed potatoes & gravy standard fare. Desserts were okay, pecan pie and berry cobbler was more apple than berry and strange crust. Service spotty, had to wait awhil e before anyone noticed I was seated. Had to ask twice for my sangria special. Ambience was all outside view of the Willamette River, not much you can do for plastic tables to spruce them up, mine bobbed up & down all nite. If you are trying for high class dining, the staff needs to dress better, and the outdoor dining needs an upgrade table-wise
Excellent meal and tastefully presented buffet. Staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was warm and relaxed.
Great place. Service was ok; waiter not really experienced at what he’s doing. Food good but not wow. The menu has items that makes you think it’s a pub and a few more refined entrees. So you have to make up your mind: are u a neighborhood pub/eaterie or want to be a higher quality restaurant? The wine bottles were very expensive for local wines since I know the price of bottles from this area. The pumpkin cheesecake was very good.
The triple pig burger was one of the best we had. Cute quite restaurant. Ambiance was very nice.
Some interesting flavor combinations, although some were far less successful than others. Coq au Vin was prepared well, but with a wine so sweet it ruined the plate. Salmon was good, French dip was mediocre at best. Good staff, willing to make things right. I hope this spot solves some of its current kitchen challenges, as the location is outstanding.
The server was great. The dining room is spartan and was cold. My steak was too tough.
We were interested in trying this place because it is pretty new and we'd heard good things about it. The first thing we noticed was that there were some differences between the on-line menus and the ones at the restaurant. Not a big deal on the food side, but there was quite a bit of difference in the wine list and most of them were spendier than the on-line menu. As to the food, when we go to a new restaurant the first couple times, we usually focus on the appetizers/starters on the theory that restaurants sometimes put more thought into them because studies have shown that patrons often remember what they ate first and last. They had several appetizers that work for us (vegetarian) so we had the cheese plate and the hummus. Both were good, and the portions were generous, really more food than two people could (or should) eat. Sadly, we were too full for dessert, but the ones on the menu sounded good. We'll definitely go back to give it another try.
I took some customers to lunch here, and absolutely loved it! Devon was our server, and he was amazing. The new menu that just came out was really well designed, and has something for everyone. When you go, you HAVE to try the brussels! They are incredible, and a great starter. Loved sitting in the covered patio with the view of the river, and my clients loved it. Will be back!
We were seated near the bussing station and every 5 minutes our conversation was entirely interrupted by dishes being thrown into the bussing bin, it was almost comical but very annoying, we just wanted to leave.
Food was great and our server (male) was outstanding! We all love the outdoor patio seating area!!
The location is terrific. The facility is nice and the view over the Willamette river is great.
The fish& chips my wife had was good. My 6 oz. sirloin was thick and looked good but was tough to chew.
Unfortunately they were hosting a large group of bikers that were having a good time and made some noise.
The environment was good, however service was questionable. Our waiter didn’t know what was on the charcuterie appetizer, we didn’t see him again after our drinks, appetizer and entree order was taken. There was no handoff to let us know he was not going to take care of us for the remainder of our meal. They brought out one entree but omitted the extra sides ordered for that diner, when brought to their attention they brought out another entree with the sides but took the other entree, they didn’t understand that the sides were in ordered addition to the entree. Eventually they brought back the correct entree with the additional sides. The quality of food was not commensurate with the cost of the entrees, for example the fish and chips had one medium piece of halibut that was over breaded and over cooked coating $21. So the value in regards to the the quality of food was not in alignment. Drinks and cocktails were a bright spot and quite good, they meet and exceeded expectations.
If they can address the service and quality of food to align with the prices this could be a really good place to dine.
The appetizers were so delicious. We happened to arrive at happy hour. My favorite entree is the Wagyu beef burger. I LOVE eating outdoors with the spectacular scenery. It is always a treat to eat there after a long bike ride. :)
I had the tuna salad and it was excellent. We sat outside and watched the river and it was very relaxing.
I have always enjoyed eating at Territory. This time my friend wanted to order the steak so I did too, in spite of the $45 price. We each had the ribeye. It was prepared as we both had requested, but it was awful! The cut of meat (a ribeye, which seemed more like a sirloin) must have been very low quality, as it was tough and grisley, and a thin cut. Not at all worth the money.
The server was solo for evening , but awesome! Friendly, organized, and as efficient as possible. Food was fresh and plentiful and very tasty. Great drinks and dessert also. I will definitely return.
Things are coming along well at the Territory. Service, food and wine choices were great. Ate there when they first reopened in July and it seems they have worked out the bumps with service and timing since that visit.
Expensive for very bland atmosphere. Cheese plate looked like it came from Costco.
Family gathering of 14 was handled brilliantly! Looking forward to returning soon!
This was our first time - and we loved it - Our server (I am sorry I did not get her name) was so fabulous- all the people, from hosting to bussing were genuinely gracious- we loved the view of the river - we will be back!
Great service. Food was good but salmon a bit over cooked in spite of my request to the waiter.
Our Corvallis guests thought the prices were very good, although for us locals, the price for relatively simple salads seemed steep. There are some very good dishes in my opinion, and others are so-so. Nothing is horrible. The view, the view, the view and the excellent staff make it a wonderful place to dine.
It would have been 5 stars across the board, except the New York steak (most expensive item we ordered) was just meh. Not a lot of flavor, small and the quality we expected. Everything else - brussel , beet salad and the fish and chips were all amazing!
Very impressed with outdoor covered dining! Apparently a new waiter that should never have been left alone could not remember a thing and was VERY confused. Out of several wines and the manager just made excuses for why they were out of so many! They could have called somebody and gotten delivery that day if they were so busy! Brought 4 lunches out then 10 minutes before the fifth one was delivered to the table. This is an awesome restaurant that needs some AWESOME HELP!!
Beautiful setting for drinks & dinner. We had a great time sitting outside on the waterfront. They had just re-opened a few days prior & were out of many of the beer & drink choices and low on food- our waitress explained they were not prepared to be that busy after being closed for so long. It didn’t matter to us- we had a great meal & the drink I ordered was the bomb!! Service was amazing!
Beautiful location! Amazing food! Will definitely be back!
