                          We haven't been to Terraza in a while. We've always enjoyed the good food and the view of the mountains from the patio. On this visit, the weather was bad so the roof was extended and the glass walls completely enclosed the space. That was fine, but the piano player, who was quite talented, absolutely dominated the room, making conversation very difficult. We brought it to the attention of the manager, but nothing happened even though he said he would take care of it. We finally moved inside the bar where we could talk. Our first server was very nice, but it took forever to get our drinks. Our second server, in the bar, was positively gushing, definitely over the top. The food was good, but the noisy piano in the enclosed space and the marginal service are mostly what impressed us (and not in a positive way). We were disappointed and probably won't return for a while as there are too many great places to eat and drink in Tucson.

                          I’ve eaten at the Terraza several times during stays at Hacienda del Sol or just for dinner. It’s always been a favorite with good food and nice ambience, but it was overall disappointing this time. There are no vegan or vegetarian entrees on the menu, and when I inquired, they could only make me a salad with fried tofu. This was surprising given that there was a vegan item on the menu for many years that was quite good. Unfortunately, they were also understaffed on a holiday weekend, so we waited over an hour after ordering to get our food. I don’t think I’d go back.

                          We love dining on the patio. The landscaping, fountains, breezes, flitting hummingbirds and stunning views make it one of our favorite locations. And the service is always so good.

                          We visited Terraza for Tucson Restaurant Week, enjoying the Prix-Fixed dinner menu, whih we typically don't do. For our appetizer we chose the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail, which was basically a Shrimp Gazpacho...but was quite tasty. For entrees we had the Red Snapper and the Roasted Poblano Pasta. The Pasta was very good, but could have been more spicy. The snapper unfortunately was overdone, but still tasty, as the preparation with the green mole was excellent. The Budino dessert was very good, albeit a bit rich. Lastly the cocktails were excellent. While the snapper was a bit of a disappointment, I'll chalk that up to the mass production that goes with restaurant week. On our next visit we'll definitely be ordering directly off the menu.

                          This was our second visit recently. The first time was so good we decided to come back and were glad we did. I had the Birro quesadilla and my wife had the chicken and quinoa bowl. Both were delicious and we had nice glasses of wine. Our server Michelle was wonderful and even offered to take photos of us! The food is great, the setting is casual and comfortable and the wine on tap wonderful as are the margaritas and cocktails.

                          Top notch fun place from top to bottom. Met friends here for an early dinner. We sampled the salmon/potatoes, tacos and poke bowl along with special drinks. Everything we had was delicious and the setting was beautiful. Just before sunset in the patio area. Our server Michelle was top notch making sure we had everything we needed and a fun time! She made suggestions and happily took photos!

                          Mother's Day Buffet. At least 5 buffet tables. Wide of choice of breakfast foods, seafood, fruit and cheeses, dessert food. All well prepared. Had good service from all staff. Initially, seated at a high table in the sun outside. Umbrellas were needed by other table. No more available. Waited for a lower table inside the dining area. Piano player needed more practice on the tunes played. Despite that the children had a grand time dancing to the music. Was surprised with a 22.5% Holiday charge beside the gratuity.
