Flatbread was made with crispy light crust. Beet salad was full of beets,pistachios, and goat cheese. Dressing was light and flavorful. Wine dispensing wall was fun, but had a difficult time finding a wine I wanted to have with my food.

They have a great happy hour. The food is really really good but would prefer not to listen to acoustic folk music during dinner on a Saturday night because it feels more like a pub than a restaurant, Plus it’s hard to have a conversation . We love the steak burger but the bun was literally 4 inches thick making the burger at least 7 inches tall, so there’s really no way to eat it. Maybe a brioche bun would be more practical? I don’t think anybody’s mouth is THAT big, So if you’re going on a date maybe the burger’s not the thing to order lol.

Looking for nice option in town and this is a real gem. You need to know it is here on a dead end industrial street. Huge bar and wine selection. New ordered every starter for our table of four and made our own tapas. Food and presentation was great. Especially enjoyed the lamb meatballs. If you are in Buellton for a wine stop, stop in.

Our appetizer was outstanding! We ordered the fruit and burrata. Entrees and cheesecake were also good. The only thing I would add is that the menu is limited. There is a range of price points but not a lot of variety. Perhaps that will change in the future.

This is my second visit to The Bottlest, definitely coming back for a third time. Not only is the food great (I recommend the meatballs and bacon wrapped dates) but the novelty of the wine wall makes the trip well worth it. You can order from the designated wine list as well but if you are feeling adventurous just ask your server what kind of wine you usually go for and they can direct you to the appropriate section of the wall. Amazing service, wonderful ambiance and the just an all around great restaurant.

Very creative menu. Everything we ordered down to the dessert was delicious. Their wine bar was extensive and reasonably priced. Fun to sample different wines from the region. Their house wines, especially the Riesling were outstanding. Will definitely return and would highly recommend. Service was friendly and helpful.

This is a very interesting bistro restaurant open in the same building of a winery. One unique feature of this establishment is that they have a wine station where you can sample numerous wines with a pre-loaded charge card. It definitely helps when you're undecided about a wine by the glass selection. The only issue was that when a bottle was empty, it took several minutes to get a replacement. The food was good but not exceptional. It seems slightly overpriced with most of the sides at ala carte pricing. The service is great and very helpful in making decisions and using the wine station. Even though we didn't rate this higher, we will give them another visit whenever we are in the area again. It shows real promise.

Loved this place. Had a casual lunch in between several wine tastings on a Saturday. It was not busy (assuming they are busier at dinner than lunch) but our waiter was very friendly and attentive. All four of us liked our meals a lot. We have gone to Industrial Eats (down the street) many times, and this was a nice break. We also were hot and tired and really wanted to be waited on, so the fact that the service was good and it wasn't crowded was actually a bonus! Would definitely go here again in the future.

Found this place on memorial day weekend, it was quiet and we enjoyed the wine tap concept and a few appetizers. A nice spot!

Went for brunch with my daughter and grand kids. We all ordered Huevos Rancheros. Would have been nice to have a buffet brunch. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty. Portions were on the small side. Staff was polite. There was some confusion about whether there was a special sandwich on Sunday. There was not. We were also told us our meals were ready when one was not yet up. It was not a long wait just annoying to be told food was ready and then have to wait longer.

Really loved the wine wall! Great for trying new wines. The cheese board was yummy, really good portions. I got the Scottish salmon and it was perfect. My husband had the NY steak and it literally melted in your mouth. We tried the lemon tart and a chocolate mousse; both were good!

I was really hoping this would be a great spot for a date, however I was disappointed. My Husband I have been here a couple of times in the past and thought the wines on the wall were amazing. Unfortunately, the latest time we went, it was far from awesome. First of all, we went in because we had a buy one get one coupon for 1 appetizer 1 meal item and 1 dessert. We show up for our reservation and get seated. We were surprised because it was a Thursday night with live music and there were only two customers in the entire place. We thought okay, maybe they're slow today. Well, when we looked over the menu, all the appetizers, dinner options and desserts were severely overpriced. We thought we would be saving some money with the coupon but that was not going to be the case. After careful consideration, we decided to leave without purchasing anything. I really hoped this place was going to take off and be the new place to go, but unfortunately, it seems like they are going under.

I’m not sure if it was The Bottlest’s or Opentable’s fault. We had a reservation and the restaurant was closed that day. Very discouraging.

Have been to Bottlest twice, had the special catch both times months apart and both were prepared extremely well and tasted great. I love the ability to do tastes on the self serve wine bar. Though, most every wine I try is nothing I would by. Would like to see some different options including organic and lower alcohol wines.

Food was very good. Filet Mignon done perfectly as was the lamb. Christina was our server and even though she had only been there a week, she was very friendly, answered our many questions and was very attentive. Great personality.

Great food experience. The lamb meatballs are something special. The house made sourdough bread is great and with house made butter..
Who does that? (We were hoping to learn where they buy it because it was so superior; so even though we can’t buy it we’re certainly impressed they make their own butter). Lamb rack was very high quality meat and cooked beautifully. Service was also top notch (even though they had a party of 38(!) in the house, they kept all of the rest of us well taken care of). Very attractive contemporary setting. We’ll certainly return. Only improvement would be for the acoustics to allow quiet conversation.

I feel bad for giving this review since the manager comped the entire meal. THAT was the right thing to do, but if I were to recommend this place and somebody had a similar experience based on that, I'd feel worse. The service was probably the worst I have ever experienced. Watching other tables, it was the same for them, too.

Ordered 1 soda, 1 cocktail, 1 soup and 2 entrees. Soda came in a couple of minutes. Cocktail never showed, at the 15 minute mark, I asked the waitress about it, she said it was coming. 5 minutes later, I went to the bar to see if I could just get it and the manager helped me and said it was coming. Finally, at the 25 minute mark, it showed, JUST barely ahead of bread. Soup came at the 35 minute mark.

Soup done, the waitress got the bowl and never asked how it was... Did I want another drink...
nothing. She stayed on the other side of the restaurant waiting at the kitchen for orders and I couldn't get her attention. So, I went to the bar to get another drink and the bartender was making it for me when the manager came up to say that entrees were not far behind... I told her that I was appalled at the service, and that I was having to get my own drink.

Anyway, those entrees that were coming right away arrived at the table at the 75 minute mark! From the time that we ordered until we got the entrees was 1 hour and 15 minutes. The restaurant was officially closed. Waitress came up to the table when we were done and asked if we wanted dessert. We declined and she said, "okay, you're good to go then." That was how that finished. Seriously.

Extensive wine selection by the glasse but pricey! Food and service were ok, was very quiet (too quiet!) for a lunch on Saturday. Probably nicer in the evening for drinks. No outside area.

Where do I start? The bacon wrapped date appetizer is to die for - it’s a must try. Our entrees were delicious - the rack of lamb and NY steak were cooked perfectly. One small complaint: the steak had a bit too much gristle. The warm chocolate cake dessert was lovely. The coolest part of Bottlest is the wine wall! The wine purchaser for the restaurant explained the wine wall to us and let us sample some wines until we found ones we loved. I highly recommend this restaurant!

The service was not up to par. We waited twenty minutes for bread, and we had to remind them after our food came to the table. No one checked on us during our meal. And We waited so long for our check that we had to

Totally redeemed themselves! The food and service has been a roller coaster ride over the last few years. Tonight was the best experience we’ve had yet, and we’ve been dining and drinking here for years with mixed results. The service was superb and ALL of the food was prepared flawlessly. We were so happy to have such a great dining experience. If you’ve been disappointed here in the past, it’s worth coming back now. Seriously. (I am not affiliated with the place at all. I’m just a local that is stoked that Bottlest is worth going to now.)

I visited the restaurant with great expectations. Arrived early for my 6pm reservation. There were maybe 6 people in the restaurant. All the wines are dispensed out of machines and we’re abnormally warm. Other than the bacon wrapped figs, which I enjoyed, the rest of the meal was really not good. The cheese and charcuterie board was stale and way over priced. I ordered the NY strip(Medium rare) it came out grey. I took a bite and left it. And I have to say with a mostly empty restaurant the service was not good. It took forever to get our food and as I said, the food was poor. I really wanted to like this place but I very much didn’t. I won’t be back.

First off they have a "digital" wine bar where you are given a chip card and can serve yourself pretty mediocre wine at a pretty steep price. I ordered the filet/w potatoes, veggies,... a very (and I mean very) long time later the waitress plopped a hunk of meat down in front of me that clearly wasn't filet. It was literally just a piece of meat, nothing else. I think it might have been a New York strip. I was so hungry at that point, from waiting forever, that I decided to just eat it. With that said, no-one seemed interested at the get go in correcting the error. The waitress was too busy chatting with her friends at the bar. In the end the manger did consent to remove the cost of the hunk of meat from the tab. So that's reason for the bad review. I'm afraid I won't be going there again. Too bad really. It seems like a nice place. If the wine was decent, I'd consider giving them a second chance, but alas no.

The octopus was amazing. I didn't know octopus could be that tender and tasty. I also really enjoyed the filet mignon, the beet salad and of course the dates wrapped in bacon are unbelievably good. The service was impeccable and we had a really good evening. Highly recommended!
