We enjoyed lunch on the patio with friends. The food was consistently good. The wait staff was attentive.
We eat at Terrasole regularly because the food is always good.
We love the food. Great patio. Food delicious. Bill was very high!! Almost $500 4 people. $22 for a margarita ??
$48 for 4 ravioli … which were yummy, but ….
This is absolutely one of the best restaurants we’ve ever eaten and we’ve been to a lot of restaurants around the world! From the beginning to end everything was perfect! Knowledgeable server, presentation and flavors of everything we ordered… just perfect! Thank you for this amazing experience, we will be back!
The service was good and professional however on more than one occasion we had difficulty getting their attention.
We ordered an espresso martini and confirmed it was made with real espresso. It was the weakest, most tasteless espresso martini I have ever had. No froth. I should have complained but I didn’t want to be that person. Definitely was not worth the $17 we spent on it.
Elegant lunch spot. Attentive friendly service. Great menu. Not sure I got what I ordered though.
TerraSole is one of our family favorites. We've been going there on dates and anniversaries for as long as we've lived in town, and they always impress. I ended up ordering the steak special and while it was pricy it was worth every penny. My wife got one of her perennial faves, the Cavatelli, and it was delicious as always. Staff was professional, outdoor seating was perfect.
The service was excellent. The food very good. The ambiance nonexistent as you look out at a parking lot. The main reason for the rating was the price. My wife and I shared a salad appetizer; we each had an appetizer and one bottle of sparkling water. No alcohol and no dessert but the bill with taxes and an average tip;was $150. IMO incredibly expensive for what you got. I can’t say I will never return but it won’t be any time soon.
The restaurant is beautiful and sitting outside on a beautiful day was nice. The food was fine, but very expensive.
Modern vibe but comfortable .
Food and service are always outstanding - sushi got an excellent review from our table.
Great as always!
Best restaurant in Ridgefield CT.
A must go place for authentic Italian cuisine. Impeccable service from start to finish.
Terra Sole is one of our go to restaurants in Ridgefield. The food is great as is the service. Can get pricey if you don’t pay attention to what you order.
The food is very good, the prices are a little high and the service was attentive.
We really wanted to like this place.
First of all, the dumpster smell ! We love all the extended patios into the parking lots to accommodate more outdoor seating but they should consider to not have extended so close to the dumpster. Just the slightest wind and gag! The prices are just crazy. 2 pieces of sashimi that was not properly cut through was 18-20$. I want to think it was the best quality but honestly seem like the same sashimi you could get anywhere. We ordered a dozen oysters. The presentation is over the top and I’m pretty sure the oysters were pre-shucked. No liquor was left in the shells. The oysters were dry, due to no tasty liqueur/ tastes oyster water and therefor lost all flavor. I do want to give many thanks to the oyster shucker - they were perfectly shucked!
I also want to give thanks to the excellent service. Helpful and good flow from greeting to describing the menu.
all around great experience. the new bar is awesome. the sophia loren art work is just stunning
Construction going on all around, so very noisy.
Very good food and service!
Over the years we have been to Terra Sole many times. Our experience have always been positive for the most part. This past Saturday we went there as a last special dinner with our twin daughters who are going off to college for the first time. I realized immediately that we should have specified seating outside as there was a table of approximately 16 people seated right behind us who were extremely loud and celebrating a birthday. We just couldn’t hear each other talk. It really made for a difficult evening. While the bus staff was very attentive in clearing dishes and filling our water glasses, our main server was not attentive at all. Our dinner came at least an hour after ordering and with no apology she just stated that there was a problem with the computers and that’s why our dinner was late and that it would be coming out shortly. Once our dinners did arrive no one came to ask how it was and no one offered extra cheese to place on top of our pastas. We felt ignored and while we don’t mind spending money for a nice dinner, we were not attended to as we should have been. Additionally at the end of the meal we were not offered the usual biscotti. That was disappointing. It was interesting however that at the end of the meal our server came over with the iPad which was functional and the only options for tip were 20% and over. We did not feel that the service deserved 20% and would not have given her 20% if we had the option. I think we will take a break in coming for awhile.
Overall the quality of the food and service was excellent. It is a little pricey but. you know that going in. The reason that I rated the ambience as a 3 was the size of the outdoor tables. We had a party of 4 and the 4 entree plates barely fit on the table. We had to move glasses, etc. off the table to fit the entree plates. All outdoor tables seem to be the same size so it was not a matter of getting a different table. Inside tables appeared to be much larger.
We’ve been going to TerraSole for years now, and the service is always good. Last night, it was exceptional. Our server, Daryl (no relation), was phenomenal. Truly a delightful human being to interact with. The guitarist playing on the patio was also great. And the food, as always, was fantastic.
Sadly it wasn't what it used to be. Inexperienced staff, poor service. Food was still quite good.
Excellent dinner and drinks! Great spot for birthdays! Had a great night out!
Wonderful ! Continues to be one of my favorites in Ridgefield!
The food was great - everyone enjoyed their meal. The noise from the delivery trucks coming and going was distracting for my guests who are older.
Service was spectacular. Lobster gazpacho was unremarkable. Shrimp piccata was tasty.
We’re huge fans of the restaurant but they need to reconsider their approach to this new normal. The menu is just too damn complex and long — sushi, Italian tasting menu, regular menu and specials. Plus a preface to the menu that talks about how unique the place is and why we need to be patient. Too much information. I want a meal not a pHd. They need to simplify their offerings and focus on what they do really well.
Second, they need to reconsider the live entertainment. The place is too small and the volume is too damn loud. If they’re hell bent on entertainment, keep it to music not vocals — they had a great guitar player for awhile.
And quit the cringeworthy wine push at the beginning of the meal — trying to sell me a bottle of their favorite before I’ve settled in my seat. That’s tacky.
I hope they listen. They’re starting to lose their base.
food excellent as always .... menu has great choices .......all delicious and prepared individually for each person. highly recommend
Best service I have had in months.
I believe it is over priced. Secondly, when you are seated the menu states that basically you should dine in one hour 45 minutes. I feel if I am spending 200.00 on a dinner, I should be able to get up and leave when I want. The food was good. Not worth the large entree prices. On a good note, the service was good and they had lovely music playing while we dine.
Absolutely THE BEST, EVER! Continues 2 b most creative food in CT! Best service in the world! Planning next rezzie, now......Pietro continues to astonish w/his creativity......
Ambiance of the restaurant was great and wait staff was very attentive. Food took a while to come out, though we weren’t in a rush so it wasn’t a big deal to us…this amount of wait time may bother others. The food was tasty, but pricey for what it was. Overall, 4/5 from us as we were very happy with the ambiance and the taste of the food.
Food delicious, sat outside and it was delightful
I notice that the owner warmly greets his regulars but doesn’t stop at the other tables. Perhaps he’d get more “regulars “ if he greeted everyone.
Outstanding food, attentive staff.
Second time here. We love it for special occasions. Each bite is better then the next!
TerraSole clearly takes food seriously, and it shows. The food was outstanding. The food prices, however, are quite high…notably higher than other excellent Italian restaurants in the area, and overall I felt that almost everything on the menu was overpriced. Service left much to be desired, and though it was a busy Saturday night, we had to ask for more bread, water, coffee, and finally, the check. It was never clear exactly who our server was.
Unlikely we will return.
All around great
I came in with my partner for a special evening celebrating a promotion he had received. From the very beginning the hostess was kind and seated us promptly. Our server offered us a bottle on brunello ( we always go with the restaurants suggestions ) and it was delicious!
For my entree I ordered the scallop and langoustine risotto special and my partner ordered the dover sole. Both dishes were seasoned perfectly and absolutely amazing! For dessert we shared the flourless chocolate cake and two cappuccinos. What a great place to spend any special occasion anniversary, birthday or what have you! Definitely recommend!
Our first time eating at TerraSole and we were very impressed. We were celebrating our anniversary and throughly enjoyed our meals. Service was excellent! Look forward to returning.
The ambiance was wonderful, live guitar music and beautiful lighting. The food was excellent and very fresh. The only thing that was disappointing were the prices. It was very overpriced unfortunately
Had a lovely lunch and they were very accommodating of special requests, which was great. Thought it was slightly odd that coffee was not offered, but not a big deal. Outdoor tent is very nice. Trucks in parking lot annoying, but no fault of the restaurant.
