The food was delicious and the service was awesome. It was quiet and relaxing and I’m already counting down the days to our next trip to Civana and Terras Restaurant.
Excellent well thought out menu would recommend to try
Well this type of place just isn't in my wheelhouse. It is mostly a vegan restaurant with one chicken choice and one beef choice. Everything else is vegetables.
We ordered the wood fired chicken which didn't look very wood fired and had little to no taste. I got the tuna with a "hemp" crust - it just looked like seeds to me. The tuna had a tough vein running through every piece and the cabbage beneath is was dry and under-sauced.
Not going back. I know some other people think it's great but unless you are a die-hard vegan, I'd take a pass.
Date night with the wife. We choose this restaurant for their Vegan options and we weren’t disappointed
The atmosphere is great, great service and nice people. However, there is very limited options and what I did chose made me extremely sick. Within two hours of eating it I was sick. Not sure if maybe it just didn’t sit well with me or what. Wanted to love it but did not.
It was overall outstanding. Feel safe, clean and pristine.
Watching the sunset over the desert mountains with a zero proof honey and peach shrub cocktail in hand is the perfect way to begin the evening. Liam makes great drinks - definitely try one of the signature cocktails!
Hiramasa crudo lettuce wraps, a rich and earthy mushroom and lentil pâté served with pretzel toast and the seasonal pear tart with parsnip vanilla ice cream were highlights. It’s so easy to eat healthfully here, and chef Scott makes incredibly artful vegan and gluten-free dishes that never feel like you're compromising taste for health.
Wonderful ambience and delicious vegan options, very tasty cocktails and excellent service !
Excellent Service, Excellent Food, clean restaurant!
Going to try and avoid beating a dead horse here sooooooo....in unison with other reviewers, I'm going to say service leaves something to be desired. It was really delayed but when it was received, I'd describe it as attentive, friendly and sufficient. This is in contrast to my previous visit where I received NO service and had to retreat to my room for room service. Jordan and Katie where nice and earned their tip so hat's off to them. The food...seeing as I'm from the midwest..was a little on the smaller side. Heavy on the plant based and healthy options. No discernable animal/seafood proteins except for scallops. Would've have like more options there. All in all, just an ok experience. Not sure of the other available options but not sure i could recommend this place to any of my foodie friends. It's truly was just ok. My favorite thing on the menu was the lentil and mushroom pate but outside of that....everything else including desserts were underwhelming.
SPECTACULAR! There are not enough words to describe the service, ambiance, AMAZING food quality & ingredients. We started our evening with a cocktail at the bar with Liam. He was incredible. Our drinks were incredible, and loved the mindfulness of high quality ingredients including fresh from the garden thyme.
Once seated, we enjoyed incredible service from Leo, Amy and also Jake pairing wines with each of our courses. The plant forward menu was incredible- I could taste the freshness of the ingredients and the way the flavors married together was such an experience. I'm not usually a dessert person, but the chocolate and orange cake with toasted pine nuts was absolutely worth every bite.
Chef Scott Winegard came by the table, and we really felt so pampered and thankful for such a great experience.
If I could give it a thousand stars I would! Get your reservation as soon as possible- you'll be glad you did!
Jake and Liam were outstanding. Food was incredible and light and tasty and satisfying.
Everything was wonderful and the wait staff was amazing. I would highly recommend it! Thank you
The service staff is excellent and the food is good. The overall experience was enjoyable but I won’t be making Terras a regular place to dine. As the only real restaurant at the resort, their menu is small and their dishes are too fancy. The presentation of food is quite nice but the portions are small and too pricy. Not really what I want from a resort. Even a health conscious resort like this one.
We had a wonderful experience at Terras! The food was unique and you could tell the ingredients were fresh, healthy and high quality. The servers were knowledgeable and friendly, and we were impressed by how well they were handling COVID. We felt very safe eating there. I have a gluten allergy and found that their menu could be easily tailored to those with dietary restrictions. The craft cocktails were also delicious and they catered the flavors to exactly what we wanted. We would definitely eat there again and recommend it to anyone staying at CIVANA or visiting the area.
Beautiful and tranquil. Food was delicious. Server was awesome. Will be back
Food was incredible! So fresh, so creative. And such a gorgeous setting. A wonderful experience!
My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times. Almost all of the times we've had the same waiter, but not this time -- not sure if he had the night off or if he doesn't work here anymore. We had an early reservation and when we arrived we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. For some reason it took forever to get waited on and went downhill from there. Our waiter, Andrew, was awful. Some of our food was excellent (the salmon), some was mediocre at best. But the service was so bad that I complained to the manager. She apologized, but really did nothing to improve the situation, certainly did not offer to even comp a drink, which they screwed up. We may give Terras on more try, but it won't be for a while.
Good selection of healthy options, we had the chicken and the salmon which were excellent and portion size was perfect
Outdoors was quiet and lovely evening. Attentive staff.
Food was healthy and good.
Was nice to be out of the house.
Wonderful, healthy food staff and setting! Highly recommend!
Awesome venue. Beautiful desert views. Healthy food options. Great service.
Drinks slow to arrive. Food was under seasoned.
Very loud with dense echo in dining room
The first part of the evening was fine. The service was good and the cocktails arrived promptly. The salad course arrived about when it should have but then we began to wonder if our entrees were forgotten, Our waiter kept apologizing but it took for ever and the food was only mediocre. The restaurant was not overly busy so there was no excuse for a slow kitchen. The menu looks and sounds better than it is.
We can not have gluten or dairy. At Terras, we had many options and they were delicious. Also, we could get dessert and gluten free bread. The drinks were OK...a little skimpy but tasted good. Prices are very reasonable. The bus boys are terrific. They are all over the place and helpful. They could do with more waiters. We really like Terras. We now go weekly.
Start with the positive the food was excellent. What was wrong with the restaurant is their service. We waited at least 15 minutes for the server to come you he table . Then we ordered drinks from the bar Which took an additional 15to20 minutes
Our appetizer took at least 40 minutes. Our food was literally brought out with the appetizer . The manager did take our food back to be remade so we can eat our appetizer first. Dessert took about 25 minutes after it was ordered to be delivered. We ordered gelato and cheese cake that was part of the menu for Valentine’s Day.
The manager told us they were understaffed for Valentine’s Day. At the end of the meal my wife asked to speak to the manager again and the waiter told her that the manager was too busy to come over which my wife recorded the server saying and he knew it was recorded. The manager did come back to the table with a attitude.
The manager did take the drinks and appetizer off the bill. Would rather of paid for them with good service and the appetizer delivered before the entree.
Total dinner with flow service took approximately 3 hours.
Disappointed as we live and work in the area.
While the food was decent, flavor and cost wasn’t what was expected. The service was the worst, I only seen my server about once or twice and had to rely on other to receive my drink and request. I won’t be returning and will deter friends away
The waiter was fabulous..food good. When we ordered a $50 bottle of wine, he told us that we could get that one for $30 and that $30 included a charcuterie platter. That was quite nice of him, and of course we took him up on that offer. Other than that, we had had appetizers in the bar, followed by soup in the beet salad in the restaurant with the charcuterie platter. Very nice evening
Terras provided us with a great meal, healthy and delicious. We are gluten and dairy free and we had lots of options. We were very pleased with everything and plan on going back as soon as possible. Great meal.
This is the onsite restaurant at Civana resort. The menu is very limited. The entree choices are "healthy" takes on classic dishes. The servers are sweet but not quick or on the ball. It's a convenient place to eat while staying at the resort But I would recommend eating offsite.
Food was very nice. We had some of the best calamari I’ve ever had for an appetizer. Two of us had a grouper special. It was wonderful. Cocktails very good. Waiter very attentive.
The restaurant was SO COLD that most people left their jackets and winter coats on the entire time.
We enjoyed our evening at Terras Restaurant. The food was very good, the service was fine and the price was ok. There were a couple of service "misses" that might just be a result of poor training. First, the restaurant was less than half full and the hostess tried to seat us at the WORST table in the house. We had to ask to be seated elsewhere, and they were happy to accommodate us. Second, we ordered some pre-dinner martinis. Before the martinis were even served, we were asked if we were ready to order dinner. GIVE US A CHANCE TO RELAX, PLEASE! Again, I think this is a matter of training the staff properly. Otherwise, we had a pleasant experience and would go back again.
My hubby and I went for a date night. I had received a gift certificate and used it for dinner. Hubby’s steak was perfect. Seasoned and juicy. My salmon was not bad but not the best. We have an embarrassing amount of good restaurants here and I think that this one is very good but not great.
The restaurant was unbelievably cold. Made it very difficult to enjoy our meal. Ordered the chicken Caesar salad wrap ... awful and no dressing. Very disappointing. However, Lisa, our waitress, did an excellent job.
Interesting menu, well prepared, with attentive service. At the same time I do not think that Terras had a signature that would draw me to return for a special event.
Service was pretty slow for as uncrowded as it was
Loved it all. The cocktails and wine are bit pricey though.
Food was excellent. Service was great. Very enjoyable and filling. Can’t wait to go back.
Helped a friend wire his new home for tv and data cables all day. Decided to look for a place for dinner on open table. This place was close so I decided to give it a try. The food was great, the place was not busy so the food came out fast and it was not a expensive as I thought it was going to be. If your in the north care free area, stop in and try it for yourself.
