The food, cocktails and ambiance were exquisite. We shared multiple small plates. The server brought us something for dinner we had seen in the restaurant's photos, but was usually only served for breakfast. There was no happy hour, but there is a bar menu, if you eat in the bar.
The creativity of the menu and complex flavors were outstanding! Kudos to the chef and our server who was familiar with all of the dishes and could describe in detail.
My business partner and I had brunch yesterday . Service was great and the food just echoed that. We will definitely make it a regular spot, maybe for dinner next time.
The food was excellent- the baccala and pasta were exquisite. Wine recommendation was spot on and an excellent value for the quality. Highly recommend
Portions were very small, served cold, and very expensive. Twenty six dollars for a little over a cup of pasta is ridiculous. What Italian rest doesn't put bread on the table while you wait? Also, we waited 40 minutes for 3 pasta dishes to be served and then they were cold! My spicy pasta dish was SO SPICY I couldn't taste anything after the first 3 bites. It was a terrible dining experience.
Amazing Italian cuisine with great wine pairings. Wonderful ambiance ❤
Nice atmosphere. Good service. Good food and drink. Love the cushioned chairs and dark napkins.
Our waitress Tara was great and oh so patient. I was meeting up with a friend I hadn’t seen in a while. Instead of looking at the menu we were talking! We started with Bruschetta. Wonderful favor and served with excellent bread. Since the pasta is made in house we both had pasta dishes. Both were so good. We finished off our meal with the tiramisu. Melt in your mouth delicious!
Highly recommend and I’ll be visiting there again!
Fantastic restaurant in downtown Portland. My wife and me are really picky on food and we were more than happy with the quality, presentation and service. We had the bruschetta and mussels. Perfectly Timed as main we got the spinach fettuccine and the duck. Wine was delicious and the place was classy and spacious. We will be back.
Also our waitress was sweet as well as the wonderful Morna took care of our evening.
Wonderful service and great food!
Great business lunch as always and top notch service.
The ambience is great. The food wasn’t that great to be honest for the price. I understand pasta served al dente is standard for Italian food but this was rock hard- barely edible. The meat and ragu sauce was really basic. I could have cooked something better myself at home.
Also, the server was extremely chatty and asked all these questions, beyond the typical questions a server might ask in regards to dinner/menu etc. She went on and on about visiting the area and where we were from, why we were here and was just kind of obnoxious to be honest. I think she was friendly but there is a certain expectation in a nicer restaurant to keep the conversational manner short and polite. Just a note to pass on to the restaurant staff for future.
Slow service and bad management.... Cold food.
This is a really great restaurant.
Food was amazing, service was excellent! I highly recommend eating here. Definitely have the muscles!
Lots of empty tables and yet they sat us right next to a family with a child that was out of control
Waiter said he had been there for years and yet did not know the menu or have any knowledge of the wines. The wine pour was the smallest I have ever seen and quite expensive.
The chef was great though and the food delicious.
Not sure if I will return
I wrote a long review on Yelp already and I'll repeat the headline here... There are few really good Italian restaurants in Portland. This is one. And it's new. So please go and check out the great authentic Italian food (manager is from Sicily). AND, as of this writing, there is no corkage fee on Sau and Sun nights, so bring your favorite Barolo from home and spend the $ you saved on more food and extra dessert!
Food was disappointing, I was looking forward to the experience but starters were average and the main fish course was actually not nice - black cod bland, bony, watery and undercooked! Dessert was also uninteresting, so many better restaurants in portland
Awesome, went there 2 nights in a row
Have visited this restaurant for the second time while visiting Portland and was not disappointed! From the charcuterie to the arancini to it entrees, everything was delicious! Will definitely be back to enjoy this restaurant when I visit again. . .
We went to Terrane before the Show at the Keller. This was our second time and we just enjoy this restaurant very much. The food was very good, however, I had the short ribs and although it was very tasting it had a little more fat then I am used to. Everything else was excellent, including the martinis.
prompt service, great staff with a great attitude. will be back
Our first time at Terrane will not be our last. The wait staff were friendly and educated, always a plus.
The special was a lamb shank that was to die for! Sweet and oh so tender. Yum! Excited for our next visit.
Great food, friendly staff
Specials are superb
Staff wants you to be happy and if you
Are not they will fix it to your petfection
charming service, comfortable atmosphere. great food, excellent dessert.
great location, great decor, food is very good and also good wine selection, service can do better
Love this place.
Waited for over 10 minutes to be seated (there was just no one around) and we had a reservation. Our server took our drink and appetizer orders after another 10-15 minutes of sitting. And then it took about an hour to get our appetizer salads which were put together without thought or effort. Another 45 minutes later we got our entrees. We ordered the “top” recommended dishes and were not impressed with the food at all. After two and a half hours we were tired, hungry, and very unsatisfied with how the staff handled the situation. They acted as if they were doing us a favor by taking the unimpressive salads off the bill. Had we not worked in the industry or been so considerate, we would have left long before the bad excuses and sub par food.
This restaurant is located in The Porter Hotel (Hilton) and is quite nice. Lots of variety on the menu. The service was good and the food was also good. Not exactly fine dining but the restaurant is a "cut above". All the entree's are ala carte and they do have some good side dishes to go with them. Nice wine list but a bit pricey. Great place to stop for dinner before a show at the Keller Auditorium as the restaurant is only two blocks away.
9pm reservation. Lovely in every way. Good recommendation from beautiful server ,Tara for food and drink. Presentation was superb and exquisite taste. Plan to return
Giovani and Jillian were marvelous. We had the chef's dinner which was an explosion of wonderful Italian flavors with steak, scallops, mussels and more. The whole dining experience was excellent in spite of a little confusion about the wine which was managed by Giovani with grace and professionalism. The music in the roof top bar was annoying but rightfully so, since it was full of 20 and 30 something. We're in our 60's. Terrane though was perfection.
Thank you for a lovely evening and a fabulous meal with heavenly service.

we had plans to go to the theater after dinner and the team treated us like royalty. made our event even that much more special!
Excellent service and new handsome surroundings. With the exception of my wife lamb (special of the day), the meal was excellent. My wife lamb was so tough she asked for a new knife to cut it (that did not help, so she abandoned it).
A good place for before- or after-show dinners or refreshments. Food and service are very good. Prices are commensurate with the quality of the food. It is set in an open area, so there is more noise than I expected, probably from an echo effect. Will return to check out their lunch.
Great, food was delicious.
The food tasted great and the service was attentive. The portions could have been a little bigger, but they were plated well and looked appealing.
Limited menu. Pricing a bit high for what you get.
Wonderful food, nice wine list but servers work their tails off! Don’t be short with your server and don’t be in a hurry - worth the wait!
Our cocktails were delicious and so was the bruschetta. It then took 30 more minutes for our salads to arrive. They were also good. Then we waited for our wine and watched as others who were seated after us ate their dinners and left. The waiter came by once and said wine was coming. 20 min. later he brought it and I asked how long before our dinner was coming. He apologized and said he's ask the kitchen. Soon the manager came and apologized for the wait, now 45 more minutes, and said our dinners would be comped.
Now, more than an hour between courses and our dinner arrived. Main entrees were just okay, gnocchi and overly salty Sea Scallops. Wanted to like this experience but 3 hours for dinner, in a restaurant that is not busy was disappointing.
Based on some of the reviews, I was curious to see how our service would be. I was pleasantly surprised and it was excellent. Our server, Samantha, was attentive all evening and the manager stopped by to see how we liked our meals. The food is excellent. We had the arancini trio to start (one was a bit cold and she offered to get another), the white polenta (delicious and feeds 2), followed by the carbonara (smaller than average portion but delicious) and cioppino (halibut was wonderful in it). Wine and cocktails were good and priced similarly to other spots in town. The wine by the bottle list is very high. Oregon pinots going for $150-$200 a bottle. I forgot to check on corkage but that would be a better deal.
Never brought us bread till our food came and we had to ask for it. never saw our waiter from the time we ordered until we were almost done with our food. out of water and empty cocktails. different server brought our food out. restaurant was not busy at all only 8 tables seated.
