Terrain’s greenhouse cafe offers seasonally inspired brunch and dinner menus, alongside a thoughtfully curated beverage program. Our dedicated culinary team works closely with purveyors to ethically source fresh, high-quality ingredients that lay the foundation for our nourishing dishes. Each cafe's unique and deliberately designed environment blurs the line between indoor and outdoor spaces, providing an inspiring dining experience every time. Our Doylestown cafe is our most recent addition, situated on the campus of Delaware Valley University. Terrain's culinary team works directly with the farmers, agricultural teams, and students of DelVal to deliver their produce straight to cafe tables. This location includes a private dining room and a centrally-located bar area featuring small bites, seasonal cocktails, and a robust yet approachable wine list.

I have been to Terrain Café several times and the food is always outstanding as are the drinks. However, this time the filet mignon was served with ice cold butter on top, which would not melt because the food was cold. manager stop by, but did nothing to compensate for the lack of quality food very disappointing. Server took the meat back to heat it up so she did everything she could, but the management was absolutely lacking.

This was our first time and it was a delight. The service was amazing. Our server was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The menu is eclectic. I appreciated that items were clearly marked gf, vegan, and vegetarian. As a gf pescatarian, I found many items that I could eat without any adjustments. I ended up with the harvest bowl, which contained perfectly cooked quinoa, cauliflower and zucchini, fresh arugula, and warm felafel. I added sliced avocado. It was delicious. We started with the vegetarian mushroom soup. It was thick, creamy, delicious. The portion was quite generous. I would have preferred a smaller portion. To finish this delightful meal, we shared a creme brulee, topped with berries. Dessert choices for gluten-free diners are just the creme brulee or three scoops of ice cream. The prices are on the high side, but the portions are quite generous and the ambiance is wonderful. My only complaint is the acoustics. There was a lot of background noise. Next time we will try a mid-week dinner when it won't be so crowded. Definitely returning! My unadventurous partner was happy to find a beef burger with was grilled perfectly to his preferred medium rare.

Service and ambience were great, but food was hit or miss. Short rib was bland with mushy gnocchi and undercooked carrots. Sauce for mussels was too thick (more like tomato paste) and salty with flavorless crostini. Rolled lasagna and burger were good. Best things were bread with lemon poppyseed butter and fries.

Terrain never disappoints. The service and the food is always top-notch. We were a group of six there celebrating a retirement. one of the managers came to our table and asked if we would like a Prosecco toast to celebrate. It was so thoughtful and generous. Our server, Caroline was amazing. Look forward to my next visit.

This is a lovely space so we really wish the food would improve. We have visited 4 times since opening with the same outcome each time - slow service & inconsistent food. My Harvest Bowl was still salty, the Short Ribs measured 3X3 & you had to search for the beets in the Burrata & Beet salad. We attended a gathering last month in the event space. The food offerings were very flavorful & interesting, the service thorough. Separate kitchen I hear. The restaurant could learn a lot from events.

What a great find of a restaurant from the ambiance to the food! We will definitely be going back again! And they have a nice shop connected to the restaurant with a lot of interesting items for your backyard/patio.

Our first time at Terrain and we were pleasantly surprised. The menu is diverse and offers good value. Everything we ordered was well prepared and presented. We started with the fried ricotta appetizer special. Entrees included the lobster roll, the chipotle pork tenderloin and the harvest bowl. All were very good. We ended our meal by sharing two orders of the dessert special, a chocolate shell, surrounding a filling of shredded phyllo blended with ground pistachios in a sweet syrup, served over toasted pistachios. It, too, was excellent, if somewhat difficult to eat. Terrain has a full bar, and offers a well curated selection of craft beers and a good selection of wines, available by the glass for reasonable prices. A good time was had by all.
