Great place for a nice brunch. Easy to book and great food.
Took my mom here yesterday for lunch and it was so nice ! Love the marshmallow mocha you have to try it !
Had salmon on toast and it was perfect size , also a delicious cocktail with cranberry juice so delicious! Great service too
Food was lovely but room was Very cold
This is a yearly tradition to go at holiday time. Granted this year there is short staff & wonkiness due to Covid, but every person we encountered in Terrain, from the cafe hostess to the servers to purchasing window was rude. When you spend a ton of money and bring guests from out of town it's especially disappointing to be greeted with incredible surliness at every turn. Communication skill training is needed. This season is Terrain's bread & butter. Staff - no matter what the strain - should be trained to manage stress or whatever else is causing them to treat customers like they're an imposition
Great food and drinks but service was not what it should be. They brought our main course on new plates and would not take away the plates from the starters, although empty and taking a lot of space on the table. We had to ask and it was done reluctantly. My husband asked for a second drink for the main. We had to ask twice and it was brought to us as a take-away glass with the bill.
The restaurant was grossly understaffed, we felt bad for the service team. The burger ordered was completely over cooked and sooo, salty. We waited too long for our beverages, and silverware.
Love the food here every time. Wonderful selection of farm to table.
We were seated outside where there were not enough heaters. Tent was not totally closed, myself and others tried to close them. Blankets were available which I did not want to use but I did along with wearing my coat. Service was very slow 1 hour until we were served, eggs were cold and potatoes not cooked. Tap water tasted like warm as if it had been In the pitcher for overnight. It was 11am tables sat uncleared. I understand staffing was low but it would be better to cut tables to have a better customer experience. We loved Terrain but not sure I would return
Every course was more delicious than the previous. Beautiful setting- can’t wait to go back!
love this place. my only complaint is that we were seated way too close to other tables, and we could hear every word of the conversations on either side of our table. a little uncomfortable.
Such great food and ambiance. Our food server was knowledgeable. Just didn’t tend to some basics nor check back. But she was very responsive. Fantastic brunch spot! Hostess could be a bit warmer.
The reason I rated the ambience a one star is because it was freezing in there. I had my wool coat on the whole time I ate dinner. They need to do something about those windows. . I would only go back during the day in the sunshine or on a warm day, not in the evening this time of year.
Simply excellent. Mushroom soup is incredible. Cocktails were fantastic.
Service was terrible!! waited 1 hour for food and they had the wrong order. They did comp our lunch
I love this cafe. It has a very chill and relaxed vibe. What I really love though … is the attention to flavor and the subtle combinations that provide wow moments to the taste buds. The flavors are complex without over trying or overreach. The drinks are primo as well! Bravo chef.
I needed an outdoor environment for a friend who requires such.
Terrain was a nice balance of fresh air, heaters and protected seating space. Tables nicely place apart.
Food was excellent and Lauren, the server, was excellent.
Service was not up to their normal standards. We didn’t get water for over 20 minutes. Our coffees came another 20 min later. Our appetizer came after our entree. They are short staffed and it was our servers first day. Pandemic bumps for sure. Food was delish.
Food was really great. Service was kind of slow. There is not sufficient heat in the outdoor covered space. We sat the entire time with our coats on but by the time we were leaving we could not feel our feet.
the dining spaces can get very loud since there is nothing to soften or absorb the sound. it does get very difficult to talk with each other.
The service and ambiance is always great!
I really wanted to love today. I was going to to lunch with my deceased mom’s best friend. Our server was terrible though. It took her 10 minutes to bring back our jug of water for us to refill our glasses with. This would be understandable on a busy Friday night, but a freezing cold Monday lunch? A little less so. If it was only the water that would be one thing, but it was every time we interacted with her. She kind of ruined the whole experience for us. It was a bummer.
It was my friend’s birthday.
Excellent experience every time! Everything we tasted was delicious! We loved the cheese board, Terrain Burger, and blackberry garden spritzer. We look forward to returning soon.
Salad did no ingredients, service was slow and missed the details
When we first walked in, we were very disappointed and embarrassed with the way that the hostess treated us. Then she realized how rude she was and tried to apologize her way out of her rudeness. We initially had an outdoor reservation but asked if she could move us indoors. She was aggravated by that and then just told us to come back at the time of our reservation but did not confirm if she was able to move us indoors and then she rudely commented that’s what I told you ma’am… that’s what I just said… I told you blah blah blah. I was taking my daughter here for her birthday so it really put a bad vibe over the lunch before we even eight. The food was Very good… The service was a bit lacking but only because they seem to be shortstaffed ( like everywhere these days!) but our waitress was very nice… Just took a long time to be waited on and be served….
I love everything about Terrain! Had a lovely time yesterday lunching with three of my childhood friends. All four of us had the Harvest Bowl which I happen to get every time I’m there. The falafel, quinoa and seasonal vegetables with tahini vinaigrette never disappoints. I do however prefer the crispy kale over the white cabbage.
We all enjoyed our meal and as always the excellent service and great ambiance made our time together extra special!
My food was mediocre and could definitely have been hotter. Over extended but pleasant waitress. As a result the service was rather slow.
Absolutely Great food. Drinks were interesting but not tasty (too bitter/ strong). However, we had a booking at 1.15 and only got a table at 1.45, then it took a long time to be served. I think they are understaffed as the staff was very kind and trying to help the way they could.
Terrain is a great restaurant; the setting is charming, the food is high quality and we weren't rushed through our brunch but could enjoy at a pleasant pace. Great work team
Delicious food and drinks every time we come and the service is attentive and always helpful in deciding what to get.
This was by far our worst experience. The soup was cold, service was extremely slow. Completely underwhelmed.
Although we absolutely love Terrain, and the restaurant is beautiful, the food and service were not good.
Food and atmosphere were terrific. The service is not good. They are understaffed in the the kitchen. This is the second time I was there ,once for dinner once for lunch. Both times it took a VERY long time to receive our meals. Over an hour after placing the order. The management did try to make up for the poor service by taking off a small amount from the bill. But in truth I would much prefer better service.
Service was phenomenal. The staff went above and beyond. Food was excellent! Thank you for an amazing time.
Food and atmosphere was excellent. Will definitely return.
Met a girlfriend Friday for lunch , service was good as usual she seemed very busy , I ordered a farrow bowl I enjoyed it on a cold day , my gf ordered the omelette she said it was ok.
Beautiful place for lunch
Lovely spot for brunch, not so much for dinner. The menus are similar, but the dinner menu is very limited in terms of entrees. Also, the bowl which I ordered was too heavily spiced with curry and cumin, both of which I like, but too heavy.
After we paid the bill, we discovered that a cheese board, which had not been ordered, was added to the total. It was corrected after a phone call.
This restaurant is the complete opposite of the Glen Mills location. Initially, the service was awful. The waitress was terrible and not attentive whatsoever. She wasn’t friendly at all. It wasn’t until the manager was called over that the service got better. The manager was the only reason why this review didn’t get 1 star all the way around. She was the saving grace. Also, the food isn’t as good as Glen Mills although it’s the same menu. My soup came out cold, the burger tasted like fish and we were never told what type of cheese was on the cheese board when it was brought out. I had to ask our waitress who guessed her way through the cheeses. There were so many small oversights throughout the evening that I would never go back. Thanks to the manager who saved the night from being completely ruined. Ugh….If you plan on visiting Terrain, SKIP DEVON AND GO TO THE GLEN MILLS LOCATION!
This is such a wonderful place. Took my sister for her birthday.
