Everything was amazing! Thank you for a great anniversary experience!
The fall equinox dinner was absolutely beautiful and well done. I hope they continue this and also offer a spring dinner.
Equinox Dinner and our 30th Wedding Anniversary in 2 weekds
Loved the green ambience and earthy tones of the place. Makes the experience of dining more delectable.
Food was amazing, fresh in its flavors and beautifully presented
We were out side and initially we were seated in the sun. When we requested a change they were very accommodating. The food was excellent as usual. Service was a just touch slow but that seems to be the case almost everywhere these days. All in all, it was very enjoyable and delicious and I’ll be going again.
Very good experience, food is good and the servers are very nice and helpful, definitely will return and recommend to others
Suffering from staff shortages.
Wonderful evening in a unique environment!
Very cute location for a date. Definitely coming back for the great vibe, food, and service.
Outdoor seating was perfect and all the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was fantastic!
My favorite restaurant on the main line. Adore the picturesque atmosphere and delectable food selection. Don’t even get me started on the insta worthy drinks. Truly a wonderful experience.
Sadly, like all other places, they were short-staffed, but our servers worked as a team and did their best. The food was all excellent- the bread in a flower pot was a hit! Mushroom and oat burger was tasty, as was the grilled cheese, artfully done with fig and apple. Delicious! Also recommend the quinoa appetizer and the avo toast. Desserts were fair - chocolate olive oil cake was more of a bread. The blueberry tart had no whole blueberries - just a tasteless filling and underdone crust. A miss. Sat outside, which was great. Lively loud group of elderly ladies next to us - but a fun time was had by all. Love this place!
We sat down Sunday evening for a couple bevy’s to brainstorm over paperwork. We were showered with amuse bouches by the lovely chef, Jameson Pew. Thank you for the VIP treatment. Overall fantastic staff. Our server Jen and supervisor Courtney were sweet. ;)
It is always a pleasure to visit this restaurant--delicious food in a special setting, and always friendly, charming staff.
Brunch was excellent.... unique, delicious and nicely plated!
Awesome outdoor and indoor environment and the food is just as good. Lots of vegetarian options too.
Food was not great. Disappointing. The restaurant is beautiful. The menu is not diverse enough. Service is kids that are not focused on service. I live in the area. Each experience is getting worse. I have been there 5 times in the last 3 months. I will not be going back. They need new management. Has two tons of potential.
A beautiful setting with unique and healthy foods.
First time back since COVID. You can see it has been closed for a period of time especially in the Garden Center. But they are working hard on bringing everything back. Wait Staff working extremely hard because understaffed. Eggs in both brunch entrees were over done. Just a delightful environment to spend time in. Will return.
Interesting food, delightful drinks, personable servers, and the greenhouse ambiance of a 70s fern bar. Highly recommended for a mid-day break.
We loved it! They were short staffed like the rest of the world but were still on top of everything.
We had 5:45pm reservations for 2 for dinner. When we arrived, the hostess greeted us but asked us to wait before she could speak to us. We didn’t wait long before telling her we had reservations. Then she had to check on the table then she had to organize the bin of menus before we were finally seated. It’s a very well decorated greenhouse restaurant. Our first server was attentive. She explained the farm to table concept, took our order and brought us delicious bread served in a flower pot with honey butter. That was the high point. She then went around to the tables in her section introducing the server who would be taking over for her because her time was done. We didn’t see the new server much after that. At 6:46.pm we were finally served our dinner- we had not ordered any appetizers. I had the avocado toast with an overcooked egg on top that did not have a runny yoke and was cold. My husband had the burger and fries. That was a long wait for average cold food. During the long wait, a couple with a husky puppy was seated next to us. I could see pieces of fur floating by for the rest of the dinner. I was not aware that this was a pet friendly restaurant. I wouldn’t have minded if we were outside but we were in a greenhouse with dog hair floating around us. The hostess did come by after we had our food to apologize for the delay and explain that there were only 3 line cooks and the chef so the kitchen was really backed up. I know it’s especially tough on restaurants right now to be staffed but the prices are still the same for the customers. It’s a real conundrum.
It was little bit hard to get the waitress's attention due to staff shortage. Some missing ordered foods and delayed of beverage orders which is expected due to the above reason. But I really liked the atmosphere.
Shared the cheese board of locally sourced cheeses which we enjoyed especially the lavender Brie. Tuna with cauliflower was delicious. Husband enjoyed the beef. Our desserts - olive oil chocolate cake and peach cobbler. Found the cake a little dry. Cobbler was delicious and fresh. Loved the botanical martini!
Lunch here was an amazing experience on every level. Attentive and friendly staff that went to the next level to be sure we enjoyed our experience. The food and speciality cocktails were fresh, unique and memorable. The ambiance is so unique and simply gorgeous.
Had a great meal! Will go again.
Celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Terraine and were pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere was more casual than expected which made us wonder if the kitchen would produce the upscale dining experience we expected. Fortunately, they exceeded our expectations. My wife's scallops were seared and cooked to perfection while my tuna was served medium-rare as requested and was excellent. Cocktails were well prepared and service was friendly and attentive. An all-round good experience!
Kinda disappointed with the quality of the service and the food. The kitchen was clearly understaffed and it showed. We have eaten here many times and we always have enjoyed it before. Somewhat hesitant to return.
Great outdoor experience for Main Line Restaurant Week! Delicious and lovely atmosphere.
The service was really bad but I know that everyone is short staffed right now. It took painfully long to get anything we ordered. Plus, I had notified the restaurant that it was my mother’s birthday but the experience felt very mundane. I was expecting more for someone’s birthday (at least a Happy Birthday would’ve been nice without prompt).
Our party was celebrating a retirement of a very good friend. We enjoyed the ambiance, the food and the service we received. We would certainly recommend to family and friends and we will be back.
Terrain has great farm to table food. The restaurant is clean and beautiful. However, every time I’ve been to terrain, the service has been extremely slow. Overall, I really like this restaurant, I just don’t make any time sensitive plans for after I leave :)
We went to Terrain to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday. It was a wonderful celebration with great food, great service and great ambiance.
Slow service. Not as expected.
Such a lovely place to lunch. Service is always pleasant, food seasonal and delicious. And the setting is just something - dining in a garden terrace. How perfect!
Best Restaurant on the main line!
Everything was awesome - the atmosphere, the service, the server, the food and presentation, the manager. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. It was our first time and whenever we really like a place we say “it’s a do over” which means we will come back and Terrain Cafe is definitely a do over!
Lovely outdoor dining
Perfect place for a nice mid day lunch with your special someone.
I had lunch at Terrain and was pretty disappointed. First, when we were seated, in a dining room 1/3 full, I requested one of a few empty table against the wall. I was told that they were going to be pretty full so no, I couldn’t have that table!! Seriously? Yes, we had reservations. Yes, other parties of two were seated there soon after us. No, the place never got near full after 1 hour. If they’d wanted to seat us in someone’s station who needed customers, which was my thought, then just say that!! Don’t refuse a customer a seat request if there are a few available to offer.
I ordered the avocado toast, which is served with no garnish, just the avocado and spread on one piece of toast cut in a diagonal on a bare plate. Maybe if this was a true full and generous serving of avocado, the bare plate would seem a bit less…bare. There was literally maybe 1/4 of a chopped avocado on each half. No generous mound of the precious Avo at all! Some cilantro on top and that’s it. Toast was way too well done, I couldn’t even cut it. Had to pick up the bread and eat. A bit sloppy. But of course, any tiny piece of avocado that slipped off that bread was devoured, and I was still hungry after every bite was gone. Heck, First Watch piles way more on that this.
It took 10 minutes and three requests for sugar for iced tea. Three requests of three different employees!
There are plenty of dining choices that surpass Terrain in both quality and service. It’s a shame, because the atmosphere is very nice. But there’s really no excuse for sending your diners away hungry and disappointed.
