NYE dinner, $75 pre fixe menu. I had raw bar for an appetizer , pork tenderloin and cheesecake. When we sat down the table cloth had stains all over it, the food was terrible, our glass of champagne to toast with was flat we never received a a fresh glass. The raw bar tasted old and freezer burned, my pork was dry. My husband and I invited our friend to join us an she was sick to her stomach when she got home. Staff was breaking down the restaurant while we dined. Next day the restaurant closed for remodeling, I’m thinking that they should’ve not attempted NYE.
Dinner at the Terrace is always special. We decided to go now since the Terrace is closing for renovations shortly. Menu was somewhat limited as was the wine list but the selection was still good for a pleasant evening and relaxing dinner...
Great server. Mediocre dining experience. Sad times in our country! Understandable, but unfortunate decline in fine dining experience. Hoping the industry can bounce back.
The quality of the food and the flavor was just exceptional. Love the ambience and the overall vibe of the place.
I love this place. The staff is friendly and the food is Devine!
The food here is really good but it is very overpriced but that doesn't stop me from going back. I would not recommend the seafood manicotti. I tried it for the first time and it was just not very good. Our waitress was delightful though and this is always a nice night out in Lakeland where almost everything is a chain restaurant. Regardless of the price, I still highly recommend if you are in the mood for something upscale and different.
Great Happy Hour with good values. Stay for dinner as the service is great and food well presented and enjoyable.
First time back at the Terrace since the pandemic took over in March. We were not disappointed. Food was still exceptional and the service was great, as always. Highly recommend.
Everything was going well until the bill came. The restaurant computer system was down so they had to run it through the hotel. I discovered that the two burgers on the bill were charged $16 each instead of the menu price of $12 each. It took over a half hour of waiting for the bill to be corrected and then they only adjusted 1 entry instead of 2. Back to waiting to then have that corrected and get some kind of receipt. The incorrect amount was charged to my bank and then had to wait a couple of days for the credit to come through very exasperating experience!!
The terrace has been our favorite place for celebrations for the past 6 years..we understand it is under new management but wanted to try it this past weekend for birthday...the ambience was great but we were not impressed with our dinners or drink selections...however, the wine selection was delicious. I'd give it a 7 on a scale of 1-10. Was disappointing but glad to see it was fairly busy for a friday evening. Hopefully they will be able to improve food quality.
The Terrace on Sunday evening is very quiet. Social distancing is not a problem. All staff were masked. The food and wine were great as usual...
This place is amazing.
Servers were so attentive, but not bothersome. Food is unique and and we just made yummy sounds at each course. Highly reccomend. Promise will not disappoint. Especially for any romantic occasions.

One issue caused me not to give five stars. My sister and friend both ordered the shrimp and scallops. My sisters dish was served with bad shrimp. She thought it might be season ing and had me try them. I knew immediately it was naf and had to spit it out. For the money.......unacceptable. Rack of Lamb was fantastic. Very unfortunate.
Fantastic service & delicious entrees! I highly recommend dining at Terrace Grille.
This is a nice elegant restaurant but the food prices are quite high for the level of quality. We paid less at Bern’s Steakhouse in Tampa which had far superior steaks.
Brunch. Food quality was outstanding, just a bit scarce.
We had an intimate wedding ceremony and headed to Terrace for lunch with our family. The manager and everyone at the restaurant were absolutely wonderful and made us feel special. The food was excellent !
Another victim of Covid, I assume. Based on plating and quality of food, I’m guessing they’ve had to hire an inexperienced cook and lost their chef some time ago. We had the tuna, manicotti, and shrimp and scallops. All tasted bad and were prepared incorrectly. My tuna came out first as overcooked then came back cold, while the spring roll underneath sat in sauce, which then became gooey from sitting.
I feel bad leaving a poor review but we all may need to adjust. Unless it’s a chef/owner situation, I fear most of the professional chefs have moved on to other trades or bankruptcy.
We’ll try again if and when the culinary world recovers.
Deluvhtful
I took my mother-in-lay for a special girls lunch and was disappointed in the food. My $16 turkey pot pie tasted a little off and had a big piece of cartilage in it, and was served with stale puff pastry. The table cloths, which I really appreciate having, looked as though they had all been rolled up in a big ball then put on the tables wrinkled. The $4 cup of coffee was good though. And the service was fine.
Birthday of my younger sister
We went to the Terrace for brunch. Usually we go for dinner but decided to try their brunch this Sunday. The brunch menu is a pleasant surprise. The service was good as usual and they ambiance was delightful.. It was quiet with sun streaming in from the windows, socially distanced for our security. All the staff was masked as were patrons when they entered until they began eating and drinking. An enjoyable time out and a bit of much needed normalcy...
Met a friend here for lunch. Wonderful meal!
Nice restaurant in a classic Florida 19th Century hotel. Service was attentive, wine list was limited, food was just OK and way overpriced. The Ahi Tuna was not the freshest and really didn't come with anything but a bit of cress and sushi standards (soy, ginger, wasabi). The goat cheese salad was a couple of pieces of lettuce, a sprinkling of macadamia nuts and a deep fried ball of breaded soft goat cheese.
My filet mignon was well cooked but literally swimming in demi glaze. The potato and cauliflower pie was nice.
The seafood manicotti had way more marinara sauce than seafood and was barely OK, especially for the price.
The bread was underbaked or underproofed so very doughy.
Didn't stay for dessert so can't comment.
The food and service at the Terrace is always exceptional. Social distancing was followed and all staff wore masks.... It was nice to get out for a change...
I was a bit surprised with the creme brûlée. I’ve been there many times. My kids live there and there isn’t much to choose from in Lakeland. I have spent a great deal of money hosting them at Christmas the last couple years. But, the smallest things sometimes matters. The dessert that the girls planned to share was pitiful. And the server actually brought 3 spoons. What a joke. Plus I took those same 2 girls to Berns dessert room the next night! That was the telling moment! Sorry you lost big time.
Very enjoyable evening. Good food and very good service.
Excellent service, dinner was fabulous and perfect for a romantic evening!
Excellent service, cuisine was both beautiful and delicious!
I was terribly disappointed. One would think that if you pay those kind of prices for the food that they would get it right. Two in my party of 10 ordered the NY strip steak medium rare and we got it medium well????
Great meal and service!
Great meal and service as usual!
I can’t stop ordering the filet!!!! Delicious 😁
The kitchen was out of numerous things on our visit. The food was “ok”. Server did not seem knowledgeable on fine dining menu items.
There were no Children’s menu choices for lunch but our server asked the kitchen if they could prepare chicken fingers for our kids. They agreed. Main courses were quiche and steak kabobs which were delicious!
The restaurant is always pleasant . The service was very good and the food, delicious. My only comment is with the wine temperature. Red wine should be kept at and served at 58 degrees F. Warmer temperatures, room temperature, etc. are suboptimal.
Birthday dinner , great food
THE most delicious filet mignon I have ever had. accompanied by a lovely salad and cauliflower gratin. My favorite restaurant, hands down.
As usual, dinner was exceptional, the wait staff was attentive. We were allowed to just relax and talk while we sipped our wine and munched on fresh bread. Very little background noise made conversion easy. All in all, a very enjoyable evening while socially distanced... We'll do this again soon...
Quiet Tuesday night with my lady. Lovely service, delectable food.
