Tried the new crab cake on the menu. Though they weren’t as delicious as the crab cakes the Terrace Grille had under the previous ownership, they are tasty and have a good amount of crab. The heirloom tomato salad was also very good.

Atmosphere was lovely, service good, nice that the manager stopped by more than once. Menu somewhat limited though and sadly my crab cake was good but not awesome only crab like it used to be.

Nice place, good service but the food doesn’t compare to the actual place. We ordered the ceaser salad for an appetizer and we ordered 2, 8 oz filet mignons with a couple sides. The ceaser dressing was salty, salty as if someone spilled salt in it and the croutons tasted like they had been left out for a week. They were extremely stale. The steaks, had zero flavor, I mean zero. I wish they would have taken some of the salt from the salad dressing and put it on the steaks. As far as the temperature, they were cooked perfect. One was medium and the other medium well. The sides were ok, nothing special, just ok. For the dessert, we went here for our anniversary so it was complimentary. We ordered the crème brûlée and just like the sides it was just ok. Not sure if we just went on a bad night or what but don’t see us giving it another chance especially for the price.

The food took too long to arrive (about 25 min), especially given that there were very few diners. The eggs benedict lacked flavor. The french fries were a little odd tasting with the orange coating- I think paprika. The bright spots were the cleanliness of the dining room, the attractive ambience and very good service by our waitress. We won't be back.

Our server was very nice, as well as the concierge. Sunday brunch cocktails very nice. Brunch menu has very limited choices, and food is average. Time from ordering to service was over an hour, which for a sandwich, an omelet and an egg Benedict is quite long. The location is beautiful, and very quiet. But food being average and having to wait so long for it would not make it to my top places to go back.

Our server, Billy, was awesome. The steak tartare was excellent! The filet mignon was perfectly seasoned. I also got a side of the Roasted hen of the woods mushrooms… they were delicious! In fact I had half of my steak with the mushrooms and added scrambled eggs for brekky this morning! Just as fabulous reheated! The cocktails were pretty good as well. We will absolutely go back!

Overall great dinner and great service! We celebrated my graduation from FSC where I got my MBA. There was a business meeting on the upper level and they got rather loud, which made our conversations hard to hear, but overall great location!!! One of the BEST filets I’ve ever had!

The Steak Tartare was TERRIBLE. Not made in the traditional way in the slightest. Tastes like i was eating air and no flavor. The name of the dish is completely misleading. I would’ve complained there but not in the company I was in. The filet was also pricey and tiny with NO SIDE! I was embarrassed because I recommended the place!

Took my Wife for her birthday. food & service was great! Ambiance lacked slightly due to remodel project, but won’t hold that against them. Our waitress was excellent. She offered to hold my wife’s complimentary desert until later in evening so we could walk around downtown.

We had an outstanding meal at the Terrace Grille in Lakeland. My filet mignon was perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Her salmon was excellent, served over mashed sweet potato and we shared a (large) creamed spinach side that was rich and delicious. The presentation of the food was simple and elegant, not pretentious at all. The house wine was very good and reasonably priced. Our server was pleasant but apparently in training as she was unfamiliar with details of the menu, but to her credit she checked with the kitchen and answered our questions. The only downside was the young hostess, who begrudgingly gave up her conversation with a colleague to “greet” us. We had an early reservation and she got quite snippy when we asked for different table instead of the one right next to the front door she pointed to. This was a pretty large room and there was only one other table in use at the time. I definitely recommend this restaurant for the food, but watch out for prickly hostesses.

We have eaten at the Terrace before and enjoyed it. The waitress was very nice but informed us that they were extremely short-staffed, one server(herself) and one chef. She asked us to be patient because of this which we were. Honestly, the food was so-so this time. No breakfast potatoes so French fries came with the meal instead. We didn’t know until plate was in front of us. Bacon was good, eggs not really hot, and toast not warm either. We understand that many restaurants are having difficulty finding staff, but in this case in such an upscale restaurant the manager could have stepped up and assisted the poor waitress. She did the best she could, it was not her fault. Luckily we were enjoying catching up with our friends so not in a hurry, if that was not so the slowness would have been a big problem.

The waitress was kind and helpful, however it took over an hour before we received our breakfast. It was 20 minutes before we were even greeted by the waitress. The waitress let us know they were understaffed but I think we were not anticipating to be waiting that long for two simple breakfast orders. I know they serve the entire hotel but there were only 4-5 tables in the restaurant so it was unfortunate it took so long.

Food was very good, Mixed drinks, not so good. Also, wine was $15 a glass, went across the street and got three great mixed drinks for the same price. If business is based on volume, there is a major problem. We were the only people in the dining room at 6:00!

I’ve had many friends that go there and love this place, I wasn’t a fan my first time but I need to give it another shot just incase it was just an off night for them. Service was really slow (took over 45 minutes to get any bread or appetizers out to table), food was a little bland, 22$ for 1 small crab cake is a little much when it just tasted like a fish stick. But like I said I would go back and give it another chance.

My wife and I decided to try this place for our wedding anniversary of 9 years. My wife and I loved our server, he was well aware of when our drinks needed filled and if we wanted to order anything. Everything we ordered was fresh and made to order. The atmosphere was pretty loud but nothing obnoxious or distracting. The complimentary bread was amazing. We tried the crab cakes as an appetizer and it was great. It comes with a lemon arugula which went well with it. My wife got the filet with crab as her main entree and it was so tender you didn't really need a knife to cut it. I got the grilled grouper and was some of the best I've had inland. Will definitely recommend this to others!! Fantastic place for celebrating anything!!

Food was delicious and the staff were really nice. I will say, my blood Mary could have been better - it tasted like a virgin beverage. Redgardless, the food was delicious. The breakfast potatoes will keep us coming back!

We had a great experience. Located in a beautiful area of downtown Lakeland. Parking was across the street and free on Saturday. Wait staff were all very professional and positive. We had a great time and plan to explore Lakeland for additional attractions, events, and dining.

The food was terrible. Stick to appetizers. Service was slow and not personal for the high prices. Very small menu and out of food! We’ll not be back. There were also flies landing on our food and we were inside. I talked to the manager and he could care less!
