Terrace by Mix Mix
Everything we ate was excellent. Goat cheese toast, endive salad, roasted mushrooms, hamachi adobo fried rice, butternut squash pasta, and the hazelnut panna cotta. My family of 3 shared everything tapas-style for exactly $100. The wait staff was a little "scattered." It was not busy, but they appeared "rushed." Not sure why that was.
Unique dishes, exquisite flavors, welcoming service. Would recommend.
A bit pricey but great taste
Very nice venue and menu for a business lunch. Even with a large company party on another part of the patio, the atmosphere was lovely. Service was very good although the waiter brought our entrees before we even dipped our forks into our salad. I hope to return to try more of the many intriguing dishes.
Inside is a bit cold; might want to crank up the heat for those that are seated inside to stay warm.
This is one of the best chefs in OC. Very creative. Master of flavors. Great presentations. Small portions. Think of the restaurant as a French restaurant with local and asian flavors. Fixe Price menu is a bargain. Great wine selections. What is there not to love
Menu was intriguing. Full of flavor and variety. Dishes are shareable so give you opportunity to sample different dishes. Best way to go is the prefix menu. You camper 1 fish from each course - 4 course. Yummy!
My college sorority reunion's dinner turned out to be so much more enjoyable than we expected; the food, service, and ambiance were outstanding, plus owner/chef Ross Pangilinan was sweet enough to join us for a photo op! Salamat!
Servers were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and unique. Great terrace setting especially on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.
The food is undeniably wonderful. We found it difficult to choose a favorite course as everything we had was so delicious. A great addition to the South Coast Metro dining scene and a wonderful pre-/post- theater destination!
Food was good. Selection was limited. Service was bad. New people— just overwhelmed.
The chef is probably the most innovative and creative chefs in Orange County. Classically trained he is an absolute master of flavors. You must try it at least once and I think you will be back. They are open all day and have lots of small dishes. Just try one of their signature small plates.
This place was amazing. Loved the ambiance, food and service. Everything was just perfect!
Went there one week after the chef was awarded. Had a very nice meal with mushrooms, pork adobo, pork dumplings and Duck breast. The Sommelier took time to help us pair with a very nice red. Noy cheap, but enjoyable ambiance and delicious food.
Ok. Awkward mix of awkward and casual. Service was bumpy. We had an enthusiastic sommelier who only talked to my husband, as if he was dining alone. Our plates came out in backwards order— entree, appetizer then... after a long wait a Caesar salad. They will probably tighten up but there are so many good restaurants I don’t think i would be back.
Time and time again, Terrace has proved to be consistent on all fronts. I have now been here for a friends birthday, a lunch meeting and date night since they have opened. Lunch is a great deal, 3 courses for $15 I think (the short rib is soooooo good). Friends Bday and date night were both exceptional, sitting on the terrace is so nice and such a good vibe (minus the random kids running bye, control your kids parents!). They have this Rioja which is to die for and paired so well with our dinner of beef and pork cheek. My only problem with this place is how much I want to go back.
Outstanding food and service. Best kept secret in Orange County.
Both the food and the staff were terrific. We will go back again many times.
Every component of the dishes were well thought out and well executed. Chef Ross and his team do an outstanding job! Beautiful space in a great location.
Very good Filipino influenced dishes - enthusiastic manager/sommelier and attentive servers. The wine list features quite a few quirky and interesting selections at very reasonable prices. Well done!
Staff and sommelier were very attentive and helpful. All dishes were amazing. Every dish we tried had complex but complimentary flavors. Couldn’t have had a better dinner.
Eric the Sommelier is terrific. Waitstaff is well trained and know the menu well. Food is very interesting and tasty.
The food is superb and the staff is friendly and service is attentive.
Came to visit this restaurant because of the chef-owner's origin who is Filipino. He offered a few "home" dishes but we decided to taste others.
1. Salmon benedict because they cooked the fried egg Filipino-style meaning brown and not your normal Denny's style fried egg. The dish came with potatoes and spinach that gave a little crunch. The hollandaise sauce was different. I found the dish worth $ 18.00 and will return to this restaurant to get this dish again.
2. Dishes to share: Albacore tostada and roasted shrimp
3. Ube bread pudding with coconut ice cream. Really good. Not too sweet
4. The attentiveness of the manager
5. Friendly staff
1. They served the brunch menu only instead of lunch on Saturday.
2. Our server forgot to put in our 3 orders of the salmon benedict. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes and the manager had to personally deliver to our table.
3. Meatballs not that good. Cheese was OK but the meatballs themselves were a disappointment especially with the price.
1. Their website did not indicate the brunch menu only on weekends. We were expecting to order the lunch prixe fixe menu valued at $15.00 per person.
2. Asians love their rice but the place did not offer any. I was expecting a Filipino rice specialty called "sinangag" or commonly known as garlic rice in English to go with the main entrees or as a side dish.
I would recommend to a friend only so they can support our Pinoy family and wish them all the success.
Delicious food and great service! Eric who is the manager has an extensive wine background. He was very helpful with our wine selection and gave us tastings to ensure we enjoyed our choice. Our waiter, Robert (?) was very hospitable and made excellent food recommendations. The hidden burst of cilantro in the ice cream dessert was an incredible surprise. I highly recommend this place.
Loved everything about this restaurant - the food was fantastic and the prices were really reasonable. We shared 5 small plates, had two glasses of wine each and the check was $115.
Outstanding meal. Every dish was well delicious and well presented. Service was attentive and professional. Great value for the level and quality of the food. I will be back.
Absolutely amazing meal. There was such detail to each dish. Service was outstanding. Super helpful and knowledgeable with wine pairings and they took time to explain and recommend dishes. I can’t wait to go back for brunch next time.
The place is nice but the price for a food is a bit over price. The food is a bit salty in some ways and it didn’t have that pop flavor I was looking for.
What a great new addition to the area. On top of a incredible wine list ( the Rioja is amazing), the lobster risotto and Adobe pork are beyond delicious. Make sure to save enough room for the pan a cotta. Perfect size and not too sweet.
