The Best!!! Love the food!! Love the ambience! Great Decor!
Hubby and I shared calamari appetizer, caesar salad and NY strip steak. All portions were quite large, perfect for sharing. Preparation was imaginative and very tasty. We also shared the mocha souffle and a new dessert, cornbread with sorbet (I KNOW I'm forgetting some of the ingredients, but it was unusual but VERY good!). Definitely worth visiting again! Service was also very attentive!
Service was a bit slow as I think our server had too many tables. Bar service seemed especially slow (even diet cokes). Views are spectacular. Food was average.
Amazing place! We really wanted to go and enjoy this place!
We did have a nice experience. It was quiet and private but felt a little cold to me. We brought a special bottle of wine and really enjoyed talking with the Somalia. I was disappointed when the cork was broken. I know it happens but I like to save special ones. It was also shocking when we saw the $100 corkage fee. I think that is excessive. The service was pleasant. The roasted chicken was delicious.
Excellent service, we were just as tourist in Chicago and they have a beautiful view to the city
Haven't been here in a few years ... it didn't disappoint! Beautiful outdoor patio, great wine and drink selections (although pricey as expected). Try the truffle fries to share - they are amazing.
The view. The view was spectacular! It’s was too chilly to enjoy eating on the terrace but we really enjoyed walking around out there and I’m sure it would have been even better with it all set up. And the food was the best meal we had all weekend. I got the Egg Yolk Tagalatelli which was DIVINE. My husband got the scallops and it was also perfectly prepared.
We will be back when we visit Chicago again!
The remodel is very nice. I like the bar a lot and would probably go to the bar and have a drink and a snack. For the money the food was very good but not necessarily memorable. The desserts were beautiful but again, not super tasty or memorable. The view is outstanding, going to the Terrace to be on the Terrace I would recommend. Our waiter was Oustanding!
Took my girlfriend here for our 2 year anniversary. Food was delicious. Scenery was fantastic. Our waiter never let our glasses get empty but was far from overbearing. More than accommodating for a couple special requests. Definitely would love to go back if I'm ever in Chicago. Food was expensive but expected
Beautiful restaurant but not great food. Nice wine selection and lovely view. Disappointed that salad was brought with entrees. Entree was cold - it was supposed to be hot. Just overall displeased with food and attention to detail.
We went there for lunch. I had the Dunganees Crab Roll which was outstanding. My friend had the burger and fries which he said was the best he ever had. It is a great photo opp, especially outside on the terrace.
Tourists, first time in Chicago on business. Terrible service outside for cocktails. Got a reserved table when we informed the maître d' that we had dinner reservations. A dribble called Blue List of all of the ingredients. I asked for no lime juice and was told it’s made of one mix.
Inside dinner; excellent food; steak comes with large fries, heavily salted. Best gourmet popcorn ever, mixture of buttered, truffle oil, and caramel. Waiter was patient with my multiple food allergies. Waiter offended easily when we requested food to go and check due to an Uber ordered. We had already waited 10 minutes trying to get his attention.
beautiful place. well knowledge staff. No pressure to turn tables over giving you plenty of time for conversation and eating. Sad to see sixteen go. The terrace was not open even though weather was nice. Wish we got a better table. Had a reservation but was seating far from the view; better open tables. Spoke with hostess but she did not act.
We went for an early dinner. Food was fine....service subpar for a Trump hotel. Greeting by our server was odd. Filled water glasses and “sort of” asked if we wanted a cocktail. Weren’t even sure if he was our server at that point. No introduction. After 30 min, he finally asked us if we wanted any food. After we gave a simple food order, never saw him again. Someone else brought the food. No one ever checked on us to see if food was ok or if we wanted another drink. When we got our bill, someone else entirely.
Had a birthday breakfast with my children on Labor Day. Service was spectacular, food was delicious, and a Birthday Mimosa was a pleasant surprise.
We went at dinner time on a Saturday night. I loved the menu. I wish I would have tried the place out at lunch time because it looked like the lunch menu had more things on there that I liked but I still greatly enjoyed the dinner menu. I hope to come back and try this place at lunch time! Great atmosphere and location...just an overall breathtaking experience.
Amazing views of downtown Chicago. The food was delicious, well presented and tasty.
Gorgeous views, terrific place and excellent food and service! Our waiter Dan was amazing
Dinners (seafood hotpot and salmon) were good but not exceptional. Desert tart was to die for, a really interesting array of different flavors. View from this restaurant at night is gorgeous, incredible!
The view was outstanding, but the food honestly speaking wasn't that good and kind of expansive.
The service was very good and friendly. Overall we had a good time, it's definitely worth to go there and enjoy the atmosphere and the most amazing views. We'll definitely be back!
Not a good lunch spot. There were no umbrellas on the patio and the tables werent set. They were wobbly. Very disappointing
It's really all about the view at Terrace 16. We sat outside and enjoyed the city and lake views as we sipped on fabulous drinks. The food was a little underwhelming but we would certainly go back and try something different!
Just out on vacation and wanted to eat at a fun place
Beautiful upscale environment, spacious and surprisingly quiet. Outdoor dining area also spacious and fun. Service was very slow.
Food was so salty, inedible. Service was great. Way over priced. Not vegetarian friendly unless you eat fish. Hard water spots on all the glassware and utensils.
Fantastic view, but food, specialty cocktails and wine are horrible. Amazing that this place could ever be recommended for anything other than the view. Save your money at this overpriced underwhelming place. There are plenty of other rooftops.
Great view and wonderful weather- was a nice night with great food.
Prices are a little bit exagerate, but the taste and the view great
Service has gone down, we straight up left. It was horrible.
Great views but didn't feel like 5 star or worth the value. Trump 16 is way better.
My recent visit to the terrace at trump was nothing short of fantastic. I had planned a surprise proposal to my girlfriend with the staff at the terrace and they made it a memorable experience. They were so helpful and accommodating for this special moment. Food and drink were just as nice as the view. I would recommend a visit to anyone who is considering stopping by for dinner or drinks.
Parking garage was challenging. Service was outstanding. Took Mom out for a treat. She was treated very well.
Absolutely amazing experience. Visited for special occasion and loved everything about it from quality of drinks offered ...( pricey but you they are unique so worth to spent more especially if you visit for special occasions ) . Best terrace view in Chicago!!
Pounding dance music , at near 100 decibels, throughtout the entire July 4th fireworks at Navy Pier. How about no music or patriotic music, at least during the fireworks?? Food took forever to show up and was barely mediocre. They couldn't find my Open Table reservation even though I had the confirm on my iPhone, and then reported me as a No Show even though I was there and dined at the correct time! Great view for drinks, otherwise, fahgeddaboutit!
We had reservations for 7 pm on July 3rd. Really wanted a great view and that we got. The weather was Chilly and got worse as sun went down. Yes we knew it would be cool but never dreamed that there would not be heaters. We live in Florida 8 months of the year and the best places all have heaters available when the weather is cool. This is Chicago and the weather is not the best. I cant believe the Trump didn't have heaters, didn't bother to realize the weather was going to be chilly all weekend. We asked to move inside finally and got a table almost in the hallway. people in line for reservations were hanging over our table.
For the crazy cost of this place the food couldn't be less interesting. It's essentially upgraded bar food. The view is fantastic and pretty cool ambience once the sun sets. Of course assuming the weather is nice. There is NO shelter so if it rains the day is over.
I'd never go back again.
Advertised a $100 reservation for a table on the edge...reserved it and was given a table in the bar area with 4 speakers pointing at us...directly behind us. Had to keep asking them to turn those down all night. Service was average, food was average. The view was good. Won't go back.
Overpriced as expected, but what you wouldn't expect is the mediocre quality and ridiculously slow and inattentive service for what you are paying. The view is nice, but not as epic as the prices.
The crowd that hangs out at the Trump definitely has more money than taste and unfortunately is really into conspicuous consumption. It looked like an episode of 'The Jersey Shore - the mid-life crisis years' on steroids trying to pretend they are classy.
I don't know why I was expecting anything different but it's just a depressing place.
Now I can say I've been there and have no reason to ever go back.
We paid the $200 reservation fee for the two of us to avoid the wait, and it was worth it. We had several drinks and plenty of food and didn't spend as much as we did for the reservation fee. The food selection is minimal, but what they do have is fine. The drinks are interesting, especially the skull vodka presentation!
