Terra Rossa - Red Rock Casino
The lasagna was breathtaking even if it took almost 90 minutes to make it to the table. If it’s a long cook item, I think it should be mentioned. The cheese and olives that are included with bread service are mouthwatering. I can’t wait to go back.
We were thrilled to learn this sister resturant to Terra Verdi in Green Valley was opening. Great ambiance, service and food.
Can not say enough about service!
Happy and will return frequently!
only complaint is that the music, while good, was too loud. it is a restaurant, not a nightclub. turn down the volume, please.
I found the pricing fair and the food excellent. Service was very attentive from our waiter, Chris, to his busser/assistant. This was our first time dining here, as we don't usually eat in the casino restaurants, but it won't be the last.
This is not The Terra Rosa of 10 years ago!!! The calamari was the worst I've ever had. Each calamari piece had a very hard coating and there was no flavor. The whole wheat pasta pomodor was not delicious. The veal parmigiana was at best okay.
I loved the bread and that is all.
Best darn Caesar salad EVER!!! And the pasta e Pepe delicious
What a great find. We are new to Las Vegas!!!
nice dinner, but was sat a table when I requested a booth.....all good, enjoyed a nice evening
I had Linguine with clams and couldn't eat it as it was literally drowned in a bowl of butter. My fiance had a chicken dish but wasn't asked if she wanted any side dishes so it came and literally was a piece of chicken on a plate. I guess we should have studied the menu more. The layout is nice although very loud and not sure why Michael Jackson from the 70s was playing in the background. The menu is extensive but based on this experience wont be going back as I feel linguine with clams should be the very least an Italian restaurant can do well. I rarely complain and waited until we asked for the bill to tell the waiter that the pasta was dreadful. He was very apologetic and offered to take it of my bill to which I declined but the offer was appreciated.
Excellent food, great service. It was a first visit to Las Vegas for one of our guests and he loved it. Our server Felix was outstanding!
The restaurant experience was amazing from the food to the service. It far surpasses the old Terra Rosa.Hat off to Ted Rock for bringing Terra Rosa back
Great friendly, happy Staff. Manager came to the table which is always nice and the food was great!
Very disappointed. - Most of the dishes were not great and one of them had no seasoning whatsoever. They took it back in the kitchen and it came back so salty it was barely edible. Was looking forward to trying this place but unfortunately won’t be going back.
Fourth Italian restaurant in the same space. Might take a few more before they wise up and get it right. Red Rock will spend millions on renovations, but they won't soend a few dollars to serve a good dish.
Good: Caprese salad had incredible tomatoes, and just the right vinaigrette. Wine selection is quite extensive and well thought out.
Bad: Calamari that was chewy instead of crispy. Parm that doesn't come with pasta ($7 extra for a side of pasta smaller than a kid's meal). Chicken so drenched in oil it had to be sent back. Bread basket served stone cold.
Why can't they focus on putting out a good dish, with enough pasta, warm bread, and make people happy?
You can keep changing the name, the colors on the walls, whatever. When are you going to serve a decent bowl of pasta? SMH.
This place was awful when it closed previously. It's still garbage. We ordered arancini, undercooked and raw. Ordered the heirloom salad, lifeless and flavorless. The tomato (3 slices) was bad 3 days ago. Entrees ordered were lasagna (best thing consumed) and Cacio e pepe came swimming in some salty, broken sauce (extremely untraditional), and raw undercooked crunchy pasta. Tried to salvage some kind of meal and ordered shrimp scampi off the appetizers list. It came with 2 RAW shrimp as a quick re-fire with crunchy uncooked pasta AGAIN. They should be ashamed of themselves. Never once did a manager come over. No apologies, except from the server. This joint will close again. Hopefully Red Rock has a back up plan...
Couldn’t wait for this restaurant to reopen it was always a favorite years ago many other restaurants came in the same space and now Terra Rosa is back!!
I have to say service was slow food runners confused.
Not quite as awesome presentation as before.
Loved the food ambiance...EVERYTHING!!! There with family visiting from NY...THEY LOVED IT!!!!!
The service was A+. The salads and soup were good, nothing outstanding. The Gnocchi serving was hardly enough; soft like mashed potatoes. Very disappointing. The Bolognese sauce was salty. We used to go to Terra Rosa when they first opened at Red Rock and they were very good. The noise level was way to much......Sorry, we won't be back.
Adele , our waitress, gave exceptional service. Very personable and super efficient. My family and I had the best service experience. The food was also at the top of the line. Excellent all around. We will definitely visit again.
We were so happy to hear that Terra Rosa is back in Red Rock Resort. We celebrated a family member’s 6th. Had a very nice time; food was great, wait service great and ambiance very nice. We will come back soon
We were seated twenty minutes after our reservation time despite arriving ten minutes early for a total wait time of thirty minutes. Once seated, we had a nice booth. It took about ten minutes before we got our waters and the bottle of wine we ordered took another thirty minutes, for a total of forty minutes to deliver a bottle of wine that was overpriced. The waiter completely forgot one of the beer orders by night’s end. The meatballs were okay, a bit loose for my taste but they let us add on a fourth to the dish to accommodate our party of four since the appetizer only came with three, which was nice. The tricolore salad was overdressed and arrived with the smallest piece of cheese on it. The chicken parmigiana marinara was one note, not too acidic, but nothing to write home about. It was perfectly cooked despite not coming with any sort of pasta. The cacio e pepe was also cooked perfectly al dente but was overly seasoned with salt. The Italian donuts were warm and decent but for the price there should have been more to dip into the trio of sauces, which all tasted like watered down versions of what they were (raspberry, cream, and Nutella). It took us another ten minutes to flag down the waiter to get our bill and another ten minutes for the waiter to return with our credit cards. This iteration of Terra Rossa is not up to the standards of the original. We were disappointed ossobucco was not on the menu like at the original. But even sadder was how dismal the other food options and service were. If in Summerlin, I’d rather go to Ada’s for good Italian. The overall dinner took nearly three hours. It was so long we missed our entertainment option after dinner. This left a lot to be desired but I cannot fathom giving it another chance. That said, the veal dish and linguine with clams that our friends ordered were pretty good. As was the bread selection. But the timing of the meal was all wrong and no one seemed to care or have any sense of pacing or urgency.
The food was not what we expected.
Veal was tough and overcooked.
Caesar salad was not traditional and needs to be replaced.
The old chef was great
Get a new chef
The shrimp scampi Appetizerwas excellent. My suggestion order the shrimp scampi and add it to your Spaghetti that doesn’t come with any meat. I would have to say the Shrimp Scampi, Artichoke Appetizer and the Italian Wedding drink were my favorite. If I go back those are the only three things I would order. I’m almost sure they are going to have to revamp that menu. Maybe add happy hour. For my husband and I the bill was over $200. The two customers sitting next to us we overheard them say the prices are to high for Italian food and they were not happy with the lasagna. So hopefully they revamp that menu. The meatballs didn’t taste authentic either. So they have some work to do. Overall a 3.5
food is crapy, service more like a truck stop. olive garden is a little bit better, better is not the correct word.
first and last time. this restaurant is a good reason to eat at home.
The bread and antipasti plates were excellent. The portions were fairly large but pasta is not included with any of the entrees. Prices for pasta dishes were ok but the meat and fish dish prices seemed a bit high. Service was good.
This was not a good experience. Nothing like the old Terra Rossa where my family always had a wonderful experience. Worst lasagna ever! Caesar salad was blah. Chicken was OK, nothing special. Veggies were tasteless. Liked the new look of the remodel and the server was very nice.
Great service , good food. Hockey on great atmosphere.
Management is doing a great job! We are especially pleased with the staff at Terra Rosa who are not only friendly but well trained and attentive. Keep up the great work! Also, the Bartenders are just wonderful.
Great food overshadowed only by the incredible service. We are definitely return diners!
We booked a reservation for dinner and hour and a half before a show we had tickets for at Red Rock. We thought 90 minutes would be plenty of time to eat and walk 100 yards to the show venue, however it wasn’t. There were lots of staff on hand but they all seemed very unorganized and drinks and food took way too long to come out. We didn’t get our entrées until an hour after we were seated, and by then we had to wolf them down so we could make it to the show on time. When our entrées finally came, my girlfriend asked the runner to bring the check immediately since it took so long to be served. Instead of just acknowledging the wait and going to get our check, he told us that they were very busy that night because everyone was trying to get to the same show we were, as if that were our fault. The show has been booked for nine months, so it wasn’t a surprise to anyone. On top of the unpleasant experience, the food wasn’t that great. Canned tomatoes in my gnocchi and ironically it was mushy enough to lead me to believe it had been sitting for a while. We were excited that Terra Rossa was coming back to Red Rock however I’m not sure we will be back again.
I know they’ve only been reopened for 4 weeks, but as someone with 30 years experience in hospitality, including food and beverage, I know that’s enough time to get the kitchen and service tight. Our server was unresponsive and spacy. We weren’t greeted for 15 minutes. Took another 15 minutes to take our order. We waited 45 minutes for our food and it was warmish when it arrived...obviously it had been sitting for a while before it was delivered.
Before our food arrived told our server we were going to a show and our timing was getting tight (we had allowed 1.5 hours to eat). Her response was “yeah, those people are going to the show too, I’ll bring your check.” At this point, we still didn’t have our food!
When the food came, as I said it was obvious it had been sitting, however, the quality was awful too- neither of us ate our meals. Our server offered no concession so I asked for the manager. When he arrived, I explained the situation and that we were now late for the concert - he offered us dessert- knowing we needed to leave!
They won’t get a second chance with us.
The outdoor seating was beautiful, and our waiter was great.
Nothing like the original...Blah risotto primavera, lasagna was nothing special and sauce right out of a can??? Even pizza margarita was doughy and just not up to expectations. Recently opened at redrock and before trying would give them a few more months to improve.
The food was good, but the service was very poor. We felt "forgotten" as our waitress was pre-occupied with other tables.
We were impressed with the atmosphere of the restaurant. It looks formal but one can feel comfortable in casual wear. The food was good and service great. The wine selection was nice.
We have stayed at Red Rock probably 20 times and have never had a bad experience but this was the worst. We made a reservation days in advance and we got stuck at a table in the walkway of the kitchen. The server was spending more time wandering around than waiting on us. It took forever to get our 1st drink and then the food came and it was ok, but then I ordered a 2nd drink and the waiter NEVER brought it! And then when he brought me the bill, he stood over me as I paid the bill and that made me very uncomfortable and usually I am a big tipper but this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Bummed, because we love Italian restaurants. Oh, the wine choice was horrible as well! GRRRRR
Had reservation - requested table on patio - told we would have to wait 45 minutes - took another table inside. Wait staff was slow - and forgot to provide requested water. Wait staff was more attentive to some table - others, like ours, they basically ignored. May go back but not highly inclined to do so.
Food was below average. Too many other Italian restaurants with better food offerings. I will never return to this restaurant
The food was marginal, they were slow in getting our food out.
Entrée was very good and a nice portion. Pasta was average. Bread basket very nice.
Service was very spotty at first, but definitely improved as the dinner went on. Overall, very good, not great.
We loved the Caesar salad and lasagna - Yummy! Customer service was superb and the outdoor seating is a must! I have been there three times this week for personal and business! I will take my family there this Saturday again.
Suggestions: Need a fun Happy Hour for the week for the Downtown Summerlin Employees.
