Very poor service, I made a reservation only to wait more than usual and see people going before us. They were stating over and over that it was a busy night and I reminded them that that is exactly why I made a reservation on the first place, to avoid the wait of busy nights. I had to ask the waiter to take our order, and it came poorly plated and everything was average. We were celebrating a friend's birthday and we stated that on the reservation and even with a couple of dessert ordered not a candle on sight. What a pity the rooftop is nice but that's it

Our meal was fine overall, but unfortunately, the experience took a disappointing turn at the end. Upon reviewing the bill, I noticed a few unfamiliar charges. When I inquired, our server explained that one charge was for butter and the other two were for bread — items my mother had apparently ordered while I was in the ladies' room. When I asked if she had clarified to my mother that there would be an additional cost, her response was, “I didn’t think it was going to be an issue,” before dismissively walking away. Having worked in hospitality for over 20 years — and currently as a Concierge — I understand that in LA, you are charged for everything. This wasn’t about the money. It was about the principle — and the service. Asking if we wanted bread ten minutes after sitting down, without mentioning a charge, created a misunderstanding that could have easily been avoided. In thoughtful service, clarity is key. If an item is not complimentary, that should always be communicated before it’s placed on the table. Otherwise, the guest’s trust is compromised. No matter the city or clientele, it is a server’s role not only to take orders but to guide the guest through their experience with transparency, professionalism, and care. A dismissive response over a $25 misunderstanding doesn’t reflect the high standards that I’m sure, Eataly strives for. I hope this feedback is taken not as a complaint, but as a reminder: great hospitality isn’t just about food — it’s about how people feel when they leave.

We went for dinner, amazing views. Drinks were delicious They charge $35 to serve a birthday cake, a bit too much compared to other fine dining restaurants, but we had a good time 😊

Complete and total rip-off! We spent close to $300 in two and left hungry, disappointed and missing Italy more than ever. The burrata appetizer was a joke. They make their own and sorry it is nothing like it should be. The Grigliata di Pesce is an insult to the dish. $55 each got us one scallop, one shrimp, a piece of fish the size of your index finger and thank God a lot of broccolini. Ugh…. The service-ugh again. To be fair, everything was well prepared but the portion is an insult to anyone that has been to Italy. So, they will not see me ever again. I will dream of the meals I have had and will have in Italy and remember not waste my money at Terra and go to Italy as often as possible. A shame really because the place is nice, just getting taken, ripped off is never a good thing. I give it a 3 out of 10.

We regularly visit both Eataly and Terra, celebratingevents and bringing friends and family. Had a reservation for my family (wife and kids) for lunch, started fine after we ordered all our food and drinks. Kids got their food and ours apps but main dished took more than 45 min before giving up. Not only did our food not come out but no staff (neither server nor MOD ever check in or even provide an update. By the time we asked to cancel the food and got the check, had been almost 90 min since we checked in. Even then, the initial bill included items we never received at the table. Needless to say, my wife and I did not get to have any lunch and paid almost $200 for some apps, a drink and pasta for 3 young children. Very disappointed with this one.
