Terra - Eataly
Named for "earth" in Italian, Terra centers around the grill, where our chef cooks seasonal raw ingredients over burning flames, allowing the simple flavors to shine. The resulting earthy dishes pair perfectly with the botanical cocktails, premium Italian wines, and more.
Great food, big portions. Had pasta, chicken, and Sword fish, all great tasting....Def get the Tiramisu for dessert. Best I ever had.
the dineLA menu was outstanding and good intro to the restaurant. May come back here again for special occasions
There was a miscommunication when it came to boxing our food to go but they corrected the problem and made a to go out of the food that was mistakenly packaged together.
The service was fine, but I felt the food was at best, average. The brussels sprouts were good the mushroom dish was pedestrian at best the chicken was nothing special, and while the desert gelato tower looks appealing, It is hardly worthwhile
All good. Bit overpriced but you’re paying for the location and the view
Fabulous food, grilled vegetables are amazing,,!!
I really enjoy this restuarant's food and ambiance. Entree's for their dineLA dinner were exceptional. If you haven't been to this restaurant, dineLA is a great to try their food, drinks and the delicious gelato cart. My waitress was good however, she completely forgot about my drink order so I just made sure it wasn't on my bill.
Great food, ambiance, setting.
We waited 20 minutes once we got there to be seated which was a bummer. But it was a great experience, little over priced the atmosphere was great!
Food and service was great. Noise was a little high. People have no class or restraint with their mobile devices.
Terra was great, the dine LA deal was a lovely set menu and seemed to be priced very well compared to the normal menu. Portion sizes were perfect
We were very impressed with the level of service here. They went out of their way to make our birthday girl happy.
Everything was good except person trying to check us kept us waiting and was lost, I went back again - He forgot me in few seconds and I told him we had reservation I checked in and we are waiting to be seated.
He ignored, kept us waiting ( 2 senior citizen and guest form London - looked really bad) till he finfihed rest of the walk ins ( I guess cute looking girls), hence nice spots were taken. Also when asked for recommendations he was like whatever. I guess it doesnot matter if you have reservation or not.
Our server was really good. We spend more than $350.00 for brunch for 4 ppl. Food was good.
I have left good feed back on most review except this one and the experience we had with check-in. I guess guests who makes reservations should be helped first and not go by looks. Not that we looked ugly. Left little sour taste of experience.
DineLA week at Terra is the BEST. The portions were the standard size and choices were great. Our group of Italians tried a variety of offerings and they were all great. The ambiance and service were excellent even for a busy night. Highly recommended!
Surprisingly good dinner for our first time.
The food was excellent; the chicken was moist and flavorful. Our server had excellent recommendations regarding the food and wine. It was an enjoyable evening.
a very nice first experience. the covered patio was comfortable and warm. Just had someone help with suggesting an Italian wine. service timing was good, food was good and gelato fantastic!
Atmosphere was beautiful, food and wine were amazing, service was a cut above. It was a perfect girls' night out for me and my two friends. We enjoyed every minute of it... especially the gelato cart!
Terra is ALWAYS a pleasure. Great food, ambiance and service. The Vesuvio pasta and the grilled mushrooms are addicting.
Terrible, inattentive server this time around. Very disappointed.
Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful service from the host to the wait staff, food is delicious, portions on the smaller side but that left us room for dessert!
I’ve been to Terra several times the food is great. It’s always full of loud big parties so be prepared. This time the hostess forgot we checked in and canceled us even though we were sitting right in her line of sight as we waited for the table. 30 minutes later I had to remind her we were waiting for her and she was so flustered and said she was slammed and didn’t remember us. Sitting in front of her?! It was bizarre because the entrance wasn’t busy. Otherwise the waitress was great. Just make sure you keep in the hostess.
Terra was an unexpected disappointment. It’s too bad too because it is a beautiful room and the food and drink were excellent, if a bit overpriced, even by LA standards.
The main problem was the service. Our server was not exactly the friendliest bloke in the industry as my companion had many questions before ordering that he handled with quiet annoyance. Then the BIG mistake was made. My biggest pet peeve in any restaurant, but especially one up the scale like Terra, is for the service to be rushed. That is unacceptable in a place like Chili’s and inexcusable in a place like Terra. They had the utter audacity to force our entrees upon us literally seconds after we finished our appetizers.
No management made an appearance in the room thereafter, so the only person I could discuss the problem with was our server, who sullenly apologized...and then made the exact same mistake by depositing our check on the table seconds after dessert was delivered, though I seriously doubt he viewed that as an error.
Great serving by "Michelina" ()
Exceptional as always. Many meats and vegetables are grilled over an open flame of wood. Delicious!
There were very accommodating, the food was delicious but the Gelato sundae that they made right at the table was INCREDIBLE!!!
I've been going to Terra pretty much since it opened, but this was the first time for all of the other guests at our table. This is the first time I had a reservation for a Saturday lunch. We were really surprised to learn that once arriving for our 1pm lunch for a party of 5 that the restaurant closes at 2:30pm. Kind of crazy for a weekend to close so early. Our waiter was attentive, the food was good, but the sense of being rushed lingered throughout our meal.
After we settled our bill, and being told to more or less have coffee elsewhere in the Eataly complex, we decided to go to the patio lounge area. We found a spot that was empty, but needed to be bussed. We started to move the dirty items ourselves when we ran into a server who let us clear the table and told us to "order at the bar" if we wanted anything. So rude! We simply left, but did do her job and bus the table. Really poor form.
Not sure about going back anytime soon. Too much attitude and really not about the customer experience.
I don’t usually write negative reviews but there’s got to be a first, and for good reason(s). I took my mother and my daughter to Sunday Brunch at Terra at Century City’s Eataly. My daughter has an emotional support animal, on orders of her physician, for specific reasons. Not a big dog, but a tiny poodle, that is there to provide her for needed help.
At the host stand we were greeted with a barrage of questions, each more intrusive than the other, about the dog. The hosts consulted the manager, who asked the questions again, and then “graciously” allowed a support animal, required to be let in by the Americans with Disabilities Act, to remain with us.
We sat, and water was brought. My daughter asked for a cup or bowl of water. The busboy went and asked the manager and came back and said they don’t do that.
Ooo, cruel, and unusually so.
So we got our food and, since I aspire to a keto diet, I asked for a slice of cheese along with my steak and eggs. They asked me whether hurrays was fine, which in concept seemed good. $20 later I was ever so slightly amused, but more taken aback by the gall.
I realize this is a continental establishment, and in Europe the service is excremental, but we are in the United States, and things are different here. People are friendly, customer service is king, and the ADA protects the rights of the weak - not just visibly disabled people, but those who may have internal ailments.
On these three counts Terra fails miserably, and had I been an attorney, or litigious, the answer would have been swift and terrible. Being neither of these, we were left with a vague feeling of shame, having been so rudely questioned, and gyped, despite the excellent cheese.
We live down the street, and I have spent a great deal of money here entertaining and having fun, but this was the unfortunate breaking of the twig that is my family. We are not going back.
We were put on the patio underneath a malfunctioning heater while it was 50 degrees outside
The most wonderful staff. Hostess to bus boys and waiters. Alex was fabulous. I have eaten there now 5 times And always perfect! Can’t wait to go back again.... and will be soon!!!
I prefer the Pasta and Pizza. Not worth it
Thank you guys
Snobby servers, slow service, and bland food. Not worth the money!
Outstanding Italian immersive experience. We ate family style, starting with Charcuterie, then a pasta course, and finally the roasted chicken with root vegetables. It was a truly relaxed European dining experience. Service was outstanding - a special Thanks to Erica ! We will definitely be back to entertain family and friends.
Our experience was fantastic we enjoyed the calamari charcuterie board and skewers very much. You can taste the freshness of their products and the quality of the ingredients. The seared tuna was cooked to perfection with the right drizzle of olive oil and sea salt. My sisters poached eggs were a beauty bright and orange full of flavor
Always enjoyable. Save room for the tableside gelato!
We had a great Brunch and service was excellent. Can't' wait to go again.
The food was perfect. The bartender made an amazing Martini with Plymouth gin. Legendary service from Andy.
