Food was good.
I flew in for a client luncheon and it didn’t disappoint! Everything about the experience was first class. I’ll definitely be back.
$300.00 to spend for a couple dinner is too much, therefor I give you low rating on the value.
Nice service from Victoria. Food was excellent!
Food was good.
It’s a shame! We’ve been here twice. First time service was bad but food was excellent. This time service was TERRIBLE. We sat for 15 min and eventually went and asked for a waiter. Manager came over and took our order and checked on us once, but then it took forever to clear and we had to flag down a random waiter to get the check. I know things are tough right now, but this was ridiculous. Nobody would look our way or make eye contact to even try and flag down—it was bizarre. Makes me sad…food is good and restaurant is super cute but we won’t be back because of service.
Portions were really small for the price……………………..
Very enjoyable on all levels!
Very good dining experience. Would highly recommend it.
This place is Disneyland for an Italian experience! The market has so many amazingly sourced fresh foods as well as hard to find imported items. The food and ambiance at Terra are wonderful. The amazing pasta options are complimented by an Italian meets Texas protein selection on the Grill. From the beat salad to the rabbit pasta to the Wagyu steak, everything is perfection! Nicola and Dalya curate a wonderful experience.
Some of the most authentic Italian cuisine I’ve had in a very long time. The ambiance is peaceful and stylish. Staff was very knowledgeable. The food was amazing and artfully done all while being grilled. Even better is that everything didn’t taste like the same grill flavor. That’s a true art form in itself. Will definitely be back and sharing this gem with everyone I know! The market downstairs is an added bonus!!
Overall the food was decent but for the price point, I would say not up to par. Entrees... 2 of us loved our dishes, 1 was decent and the 3rd was just not good. I had the rabbit ravioli and it was divine. The mutton skewers were top notch! But the Wagyu Ragu was overly salty and the pasta was still raw, not to mention the texture of the ragu was off a bit.
Unfortunately they seem to be understaffed, under-experienced and their AC was on the fritz. This causes issues being in Texas, with a wood burning stove concept in the center of the restaurant and it's 90 degrees. Our waters were warm, no ice... Ventilation for the fire smoke is absolutely necessary. This morning I woke up with swollen eyes and a massive headache. (I do not drink.) We were celebrating my friend's birthday so they brought out a tiramisu for her. Presentation was great, taste was "ok". We decided to try the tableside Gelato and it was so warm that by the time he handed us the bowl, it was mostly melted sweet cream. Our server however was truly the only beacon of light in the whole ordeal. She offered to comp an extra limoncello at the end and I even got an extra mocktail. You can tell she was trying to make it was enjoyable as possible and was knowledgeable about the menu. Elsewhere, an entire wine bottle dropped and wine glasses, with 3 blank faced staff just staring at it. (Not our server) In my opinion they are in over their heads, need to cut back their costs, simplify a bit, and reevaluate their concept. Their prices would need to come down. I honestly would go back if the work had been put in to make this place what it should be. But as it is now, I wouldn't return.
The a/c was out for much of the restaurant which affected ambiance and I am sure that will get corrected.
Food and wine were excellent. My only constructive comment was the parpardelle was about a minute of cook time too al dente.
Grilled octopus and mushrooms were fantastic.
I will return for sure.
The recipes are very true to my Italian upbringing, with a Northern bent. Exceptional flavors in some items where I did not expect it, like the cannellini beans, amazing. The wine list and what is available in the store is best in class.
Cannot wait for the in person cooking classes to behin.
The server was dismissive. Not a great experience this time. The difference in ambience from the front of the restaurant to the back is night and day.
Pork chop and steak entrees were very good, lamb entree was just ok (overpriced imo). Pastas were good to very good. Cocktail selection was limited as we were told they had “run out” of the batch made earlier in the day. Very good wine selection. Service was mostly attentive but perhaps the kitchen was backed up because it seemed to take a long time to get our entrees….glad we got the (very good) charcuterie board for an appetizer.
The restaurant’s air conditioning was not working well on a Sunday evening, so limited seating. We were not told about the a/c problem when we checked in with the hostess 30 minutes before our reservation; it was explained only as we were being taken to our table. Room was only fairly cool.
Eataly has amazingly fresh food, great greens, and the lamb is unbelievable. Nice Italian wine selection with good values which is a rare find in the USA. Beautifully decorated especially considering it’s in the mall. Great place to dine!
Food is good but over-price. But the service is terrible. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for bread. Had to ask for water again. The waiter dropped checked and walked off. I should have given him zero, but in times of economic crisis, I could not do that. But definitely will not visit the place again. For a restaurant of this caliber, you expected superior service, which was not delivered.
The check in process was both cumbersome and rude. The hostess indicated that they only gave Open Table reservations a grace period of 5 minutes when we checked in 10 minutes late. Food was ok to good but the restaurant is very very warm.
Everything was delicious ! A very happy and enjoyable place. The wood smoked chicken is outstanding.
Went to celebrate my mother’s birthday and lunch was delicious! My father being from Rome, Italy went specifically to taste your tagliatelle dish as well the arancini appetizer. He was very impressed with the overall experience, service, presentation and the food. We will visit La Terra again in the future. Thank you on behalf of the Giorgetti family.
The service was very slow. The food was okay but not for the price being charged. All in all it was pretentious with not much to back it up.
I would give Terra a 5 overall except for it was extremely warm and the seat we had was blinding from the sun. Doors need shades. Outside needs fans. Service was perfect. I would make portions larger for the price.
Everything that we had was perfectly cooked. The pork chop was very tender and came sliced off the bone. The kale side was great with it. We also ordered the cauliflower and it was fantastic. The octopus was so tender and the glaze that was on it, so delicious! My husband had a steak and it was also sliced and he thought it was perfect. This is our 2nd time. The only thing that I have to say negative is the outside patio that faces west needs some match stick blinds that they could roll down. A family that was out there had to leave. It was just too bright and hot.
We were there to celebrate a milestone birthday, and I was talked into ordering 2 cakes from their bakery with custom inscriptions for the occasion in order to avoid the $5/slice cutting fee if we brought our own. I had pre-paid for the cakes a week in advanced, talked to guest services the day before to confirm, let the hostess know when we checked in and told the waiter when he asked about dessert. In the end, no cakes and no one even told us until we had waited for 20 minutes for them to bring them out. In addition, the service was extremely SLOW (we were there for 3 hours and only had a party of 7) and half of our party had to leave before we could even get the check. We were at a table in the back by a window, and it was still so loud in there you could only talk to the 2 people next to you. We spent almost $700 on dinner and drinks, and they wouldn’t even give us a discount since they said the restaurant and bakery were separate entities. The manager said he would call me today but hasn’t, and I still haven’t been reimbursed for the cakes. Terrible experience for what was supposed to be a wonderful, celebratory evening with family.
Very nice patio atmosphere and experience, the food was terrific.
Fantastic food and great service ! The ice cream is out of this world!
Great experience! Food and service was top notch.
Beautiful outdoor terrace! Walter made our experience lovely by choosing perfect wines for everyone, thank you!
The food was not that great. I was not impressed.
Food was very mediocre and the service was horrible. Already cancelled my next reservation.
Fantastic food, every course. Great drinks and wine as well. Walter is the best waiter and we had a great time for the second time!
Overall very nice dining experience, with true Italian flavors in a “buzzy” atmosphere. Drinks were slow to arrive, and place seemed too “pricey”. The Tiramisu was out of this world, better than the best we had tried in Italy
Great place for a special occasion. Get the gelato!
nice setting, I enjoyed two hours lunch no hurry no rush. ingredients are fresh no doubt about it. a bit pricy though. Will go back customer again someday.
Overall cool experience but our service was not great!
a nice place, but they forgot some of my order and it took an hour to get the food out - that is, the food that they remembered.....
We went to Terra for my birthday. It was a lovely experience top to bottom. Great food and beautiful atmosphere.
