Overall the food was decent but for the price point, I would say not up to par. Entrees... 2 of us loved our dishes, 1 was decent and the 3rd was just not good. I had the rabbit ravioli and it was divine. The mutton skewers were top notch! But the Wagyu Ragu was overly salty and the pasta was still raw, not to mention the texture of the ragu was off a bit.
Unfortunately they seem to be understaffed, under-experienced and their AC was on the fritz. This causes issues being in Texas, with a wood burning stove concept in the center of the restaurant and it's 90 degrees. Our waters were warm, no ice... Ventilation for the fire smoke is absolutely necessary. This morning I woke up with swollen eyes and a massive headache. (I do not drink.) We were celebrating my friend's birthday so they brought out a tiramisu for her. Presentation was great, taste was "ok". We decided to try the tableside Gelato and it was so warm that by the time he handed us the bowl, it was mostly melted sweet cream. Our server however was truly the only beacon of light in the whole ordeal. She offered to comp an extra limoncello at the end and I even got an extra mocktail. You can tell she was trying to make it was enjoyable as possible and was knowledgeable about the menu. Elsewhere, an entire wine bottle dropped and wine glasses, with 3 blank faced staff just staring at it. (Not our server) In my opinion they are in over their heads, need to cut back their costs, simplify a bit, and reevaluate their concept. Their prices would need to come down. I honestly would go back if the work had been put in to make this place what it should be. But as it is now, I wouldn't return.

The a/c was out for much of the restaurant which affected ambiance and I am sure that will get corrected.

Food and wine were excellent. My only constructive comment was the parpardelle was about a minute of cook time too al dente.

Grilled octopus and mushrooms were fantastic.

I will return for sure.

The recipes are very true to my Italian upbringing, with a Northern bent. Exceptional flavors in some items where I did not expect it, like the cannellini beans, amazing. The wine list and what is available in the store is best in class.
Cannot wait for the in person cooking classes to behin.

Pork chop and steak entrees were very good, lamb entree was just ok (overpriced imo). Pastas were good to very good. Cocktail selection was limited as we were told they had “run out” of the batch made earlier in the day. Very good wine selection. Service was mostly attentive but perhaps the kitchen was backed up because it seemed to take a long time to get our entrees….glad we got the (very good) charcuterie board for an appetizer.
The restaurant’s air conditioning was not working well on a Sunday evening, so limited seating. We were not told about the a/c problem when we checked in with the hostess 30 minutes before our reservation; it was explained only as we were being taken to our table. Room was only fairly cool.

Food is good but over-price. But the service is terrible. Had to ask for water. Had to ask for bread. Had to ask for water again. The waiter dropped checked and walked off. I should have given him zero, but in times of economic crisis, I could not do that. But definitely will not visit the place again. For a restaurant of this caliber, you expected superior service, which was not delivered.

The check in process was both cumbersome and rude. The hostess indicated that they only gave Open Table reservations a grace period of 5 minutes when we checked in 10 minutes late. Food was ok to good but the restaurant is very very warm.

Went to celebrate my mother’s birthday and lunch was delicious! My father being from Rome, Italy went specifically to taste your tagliatelle dish as well the arancini appetizer. He was very impressed with the overall experience, service, presentation and the food. We will visit La Terra again in the future. Thank you on behalf of the Giorgetti family.

The service was very slow. The food was okay but not for the price being charged. All in all it was pretentious with not much to back it up.

I would give Terra a 5 overall except for it was extremely warm and the seat we had was blinding from the sun. Doors need shades. Outside needs fans. Service was perfect. I would make portions larger for the price.

Everything that we had was perfectly cooked. The pork chop was very tender and came sliced off the bone. The kale side was great with it. We also ordered the cauliflower and it was fantastic. The octopus was so tender and the glaze that was on it, so delicious! My husband had a steak and it was also sliced and he thought it was perfect. This is our 2nd time. The only thing that I have to say negative is the outside patio that faces west needs some match stick blinds that they could roll down. A family that was out there had to leave. It was just too bright and hot.

We were there to celebrate a milestone birthday, and I was talked into ordering 2 cakes from their bakery with custom inscriptions for the occasion in order to avoid the $5/slice cutting fee if we brought our own. I had pre-paid for the cakes a week in advanced, talked to guest services the day before to confirm, let the hostess know when we checked in and told the waiter when he asked about dessert. In the end, no cakes and no one even told us until we had waited for 20 minutes for them to bring them out. In addition, the service was extremely SLOW (we were there for 3 hours and only had a party of 7) and half of our party had to leave before we could even get the check. We were at a table in the back by a window, and it was still so loud in there you could only talk to the 2 people next to you. We spent almost $700 on dinner and drinks, and they wouldn’t even give us a discount since they said the restaurant and bakery were separate entities. The manager said he would call me today but hasn’t, and I still haven’t been reimbursed for the cakes. Terrible experience for what was supposed to be a wonderful, celebratory evening with family.

Overall very nice dining experience, with true Italian flavors in a “buzzy” atmosphere. Drinks were slow to arrive, and place seemed too “pricey”. The Tiramisu was out of this world, better than the best we had tried in Italy

Terra has a great vibe and a lively atmosphere. The patio was great but too hot (90 deg in Dallas) for us so we switched to an inside table. Recommend some cooler fans on the patio for the Dallas summer. Our server Antonio was great..great service and checked on us regularly. The restaurant does not serve you any bread, but when the main dishes were taking a little longer than necessary to come, he brought us some super delicious sour dough bread. We were not in any rush. We ordered the vegetarian appetizers and pasta - all were great! We will definitely go back again!

My friend & I went to Terra for our birthday lunch & the service was sub-par!
It took 10 minutes for a server to greet us, then our server made an excuse about the restaurant being low on staff, so that's why the service was slow.
The bill came back wrong twice & the entire experience was lacking!

The air conditioning was broken or something (which no one disclosed to us before we were sat) so we were extremely hot with our two young kids the whole time. Everyone around us was literally visible sweating. The food was just ok. The waiter was nice whenever they actually would come over which wasn’t often. We were waiting about 15-20 minutes for our check after asking for it. Just a pretty unfulfilling experience overall.

Third time in and with a different couple of friends. Again, my boasting about the place brought 2 more very happy customers. My tuna was delicious, the guys had yummy pasta dishes and the other feasted on beet salad and burrata. Sitting outside in muggy weather was comfortable with the breeze and fans appeared to be blowing. Walker was terrific! We will all be back!!

It seemed odd to be checked in downstairs and then go upstairs and be checked in all over again. Also, the selections of wine were fair at best. We were going to order three different wines only to be told that none of them(which were on the menu) were available.

We made our reservation about a week in advance, due to the difficulty getting in to Terra. We were seated fairly quickly.

We got water right away - it was about 7:15, the restaurant is on the west side, so receives full west sun. It wasn't terribly hot, but it wasn't comfortable, as the doors to the patio stayed open - not sure if this is standard procedure, or just this night.

The waiter came and took our drink order, drinks arrived. We ordered an appetizer, which came within a reasonable time frame - not ridiculously fast, but not too slow. We got the charcuterie appetizer and the arrancinni - both very good.

By this point we had ordered our main meal. 1 1/2 hours later, our food arrived. By this time it was very warm in the restaurant, several of us had been continuously bitten by mosquitos and we had to wave flies off of our food constantly. Could not wait to get out of the restaurant.

It was very disappointing to say the least. There were 6 people in our party, not a huge group, not sure why it took so long, and the waiter offered not explanation. He did manage to constantly come by and make sure we were purchasing more wine.

The food was good - my husband got the Berkshire pork chop - we got several of the pasta dishes. I wouldn't go back for the food, it was expensive and since im not a big drinker I like to eat dinner and have more of my evening left - versus sitting at the dinner table in a hot room with insects biting.

This is our second time to visit Terra. The food is good. I requested patio seating but as the sun set, it blinded several of us. (But I had requested patio). The music was loud.
The gelato is fun.
